Chapter 20 The Fiery Villain's Transformation Plan (20)

Tang Zhe didn't want to waste time bickering with her and directly questioned her.

"What did I tell you back then? I said just to lightly hit her, and you went ahead and made her bleed from the nose. Do you dare say it wasn't intentional?"

Lin Xiaojun's eyes turned red. "Even if it was intentional, so what? Tang Zhe, have you forgotten what you promised me in the beginning?"

The warmth in the young man's eyes completely dissipated, and his voice turned阴沉. "I haven't forgotten, and I don't need you to remind me."

Seeing Tang Zhe's displeased expression, clearly hitting a sore spot, Lin Xiaojun felt scared yet relieved, and then a bit unwilling.

"Do you have to use this method? Can't you do it another way?"

The young man, agitated, took a sip of cold coffee. The bitter taste almost made him spit it out on the spot, but he endured it and swallowed.

"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Don't you understand?" Tang Zhe felt a bitter taste in his words.

Lin Xiaojun still wanted to say something, but seeing Tang Zhe's demeanor, she ultimately said nothing.

Tang Zhe lightly tapped the table with his long fingers. "Don't get involved in this matter anymore."

"Why?"

Lin Xiaojun's reaction was intense.

Tang Zhe indifferently picked up his phone and stood up, looking down at her.

"No reason."

Leaving these words, he went to the front desk to pay the bill.

Lin Xiaojun gritted her teeth and clenched her fists.

---

Perhaps it was because Christmas was approaching, but the place had become much livelier, with many couples milling about the campus.

Shen Yue didn't feel anything in particular, just that the weather was getting colder. She was wearing earmuffs, soft and comfortable.

The snow on the ground had also deepened. The school organized college students to shovel snow. Zhuang Wan'er wore a mournful expression. Winter was cold, and she was already too lazy to move; who would want to go out in the cold wind to shovel snow?

Zhuang Wan'er was full of resentment as the volunteers handed out shovels.

Shen Yue, however, found it quite good. Although it was cold outside, moving her body generated warmth.

The school was covered in thick snow, a vast expanse of white. Bare trees stood without a single leaf.

Shen Yue held a shovel and diligently shoveled snow.

She wore earmuffs, a scarf, and gloves, and a thick cotton coat, making her look like a ball.

Being overdressed made her movements inconvenient. After shoveling for a short while, she was out of breath and her body was warm. She pulled her lower face out from her scarf, and the warm breath she exhaled blurred her vision.

Shen Yue was so engrossed in shoveling snow that she didn't notice until she shoveled someone's shoe.

"Damn!"

A deep curse reached her ears.

She glanced down at the shoe; it was worth hundreds of thousands.

When she looked up and saw who it was, she broke into a smile. The girl had a fair and clean face, clear bright eyes, and when she smiled, shallow dimples appeared, like a serene crescent moon.

"Wei Jingzhou, you're hiding here and slacking off."

The man's eyes froze for a moment upon seeing her smiling face. Then, as if realizing something, his handsome face flushed crimson. "Which eye saw me slacking off?"

Shen Yue said, "Both eyes saw it."

Wei Jingzhou's face turned ashen. "What's it to you?"

She knew the man was annoyed and had quite a temper, unable to take any criticism.

Her arms, used to shoveling snow, were sore. Shen Yue, still wearing gloves, found it quite strenuous. However, taking off her gloves would make her cold.

So, she unceremoniously handed the shovel to the man.

Wei Jingzhou raised an eyebrow, glanced at the shovel, then at the girl, his gaze questioning.

"You shovel for a bit, I'm tired." Shen Yue's eyelashes trembled from the cold wind. She leaned closer to Wei Jingzhou; having a large body to block the wind made it less cold.

Wei Jingzhou didn't take the shovel. He said indifferently, "Do I look like I have nothing better to do?"

Shen Yue, wearing fluffy earmuffs, had a pale, small face. When she pursed her lips, her dimples would subtly appear, making her look somewhat cute.

She said, "But you don't seem busy either."

Wei Jingzhou scoffed, a bit of a scoundrel. "Even if I were so bored I had nothing to do, I wouldn't help you. You can forget about it."

Shen Yue: "..."

After saying that, he was about to turn and leave. Shen Yue grabbed his cotton coat, unwilling to let go of such good labor.

The girl's strength was naturally small, and she gently tugged his coat. He could easily pull away, but he didn't. Instead, he looked at her impatiently, his eyelids lowered, his narrow, sharp eyes making it impossible to look directly at him.

Shen Yue was not afraid because she knew this man was fierce only on the surface.

After a pause, Shen Yue endured her embarrassment. Her thick eyelashes trembled uneasily, and her pale pink lips pursed as she finally uttered the words that were difficult to say.

"Just... help me, okay?"

Her slightly shy expression evoked a sense of tenderness in those who saw it, like a beautiful jasmine flower, pure white, fresh and elegant, exuding a fragrant scent.

He stared at her, lost in thought.

Realizing this, Wei Jingzhou felt as if he had been pricked by something, like a bee sting. He immediately averted his gaze.

His thin lips tightened, and he uttered cold, unfeeling words, "Dream on."

Seeing that Wei Jingzhou was still about to leave, Shen Yue no longer held him back but sighed.

"Then I'll go find Bai Bo."

The man gritted his teeth in anger. Seeing that the girl was really leaving to find someone else, he resentfully and extremely unwillingly snatched her shovel and shoveled snow with great force as if venting his frustration, even digging up the mud beneath the snow.

Shen Yue reminded him from the side, "Don't shovel the mud; it will damage the lawn."

The man grumbled, "Why are you so meddlesome?"

Despite his words, Wei Jingzhou eased up and no longer dug up all the soil.

Shen Yue stood by, watching the man work busily, even directing him and saying a few words if the snow wasn't shoveled cleanly.

Wei Jingzhou's face was dark, as if he might throw down the shovel and leave at any moment.

The snow was thick, and it was strenuous for Shen Yue to shovel alone. The snow was heavy, and her wrists ached after shoveling for a while.

But Wei Jingzhou didn't. With his shovel, he scooped up large amounts of snow and cleared a patch of ground in no time, without even a gasp for breath.

Indeed, he was young and strong, living up to his reputation as the big villain.

Standing for too long in the cold wind made her body feel chilled. Shen Yue jogged around Wei Jingzhou to keep her feet from getting too cold.

Wei Jingzhou glared, annoyed. "Can you stop running around? You're giving me a headache."

The girl's face was frozen pale. The fluffy earmuffs made her face look even more delicate and exquisite, giving her a well-behaved appearance.

"Wei Jingzhou, I'm cold."

His Adam's apple bobbed. Wei Jingzhou's tone softened a bit. "If you're cold, go inside and stay warm. Why are you running around foolishly out here? You'll regret it if you catch a cold."
