Chapter 116: The Angel (1)
It doesn’t take him very long to land but his gaze didn’t seem to leave me. He was definitely keeping a close eye on me for some reason.
Dragons will always be a priority since you may kill just for the sake of killing.
I’m not like that at all Rika. I’ve never just killed for the sake of killing before so there isn’t a reason to assume that.
I can believe that and your companions can believe that but him, no he won’t believe that at first glance.
He is probably surprised that you haven’t gone into a full dragon form already.
I wouldn’t expect to be seen as an immediate priority from an angel or any of my enemies to be exact. I like to think that all of my companions are very strong and so are a lot of the hunters.
They should also be considered a main priority compared to me.
I don’t really know how to explain it just yet but angels have never been a fan of us.
I’ll never understand the reasoning behind anything in this world. Especially when it comes to what people use to justify violence against one another.
"I’m sure none of you expected an angel. I’d love to enlighten you all a bit." The Angel says with a big smile across his face.
"Honestly I don’t really care much for stories." Akina responds with an annoyed tone in her voice.
The annoyed look in her eyes was definitely kind of intimidating. This is the first time that I’ve seen her in a different mood than the usual.
Snap! She snaps her fingers and a gun begins to form in her hand. Seems to be some sort of modified revolver with pink lights going all throughout the gun.
"Akina the goddess of the tower. How lovely to meet you in person, maybe you can put that away." The Angel speaks with a bit more of a serious tone, all while keeping the smile.
"I’m glad you know about me. Doesn’t change how annoying you are." Akina responds while aiming the gun right at him.
His expression didn’t seem to change whatsoever but he was definitely taking her a bit more seriously. Something about him felt completely different but he didn’t show it in the slightest.
Ghost and Velia also seem to be ready to fight against him so maybe it’s best to just get it over with from the get go.
You do realize how strong angels are right? They wouldn’t be an angel if they were weaker than a human. Akina is also pretty powerful so there is a chance of beating him.
Akina is known as the tower goddess, you heard him. Shouldn’t that already be saying something about what he’s thinking?
She’s probably capable of fighting him with the kind of power she possesses so we just need to back her up. That would be the best way to go about fighting him.
"A dragon, a goddess, a pyschotic swordsman and a cyborg. I’d say that this is quite the combination of forces." He says with a mocking tone while looking at each of us.
He definitely isn’t taking any of us seriously which is kind of starting to annoy me as well. I always hate bastards like him, it reminds me of that Lazarus guy that I fought back in the tower.
We were expected to beg for mercy while admitting he was stronger than us, yeah... No.
I’ll happily fight against this asshole if it means that we don’t have to be mocked by him again. Everyone is always making fun of me or looking down on me in some way.
I’m used to it and it pisses me off quite a bit but no one does that to my friends.
I could feel my blood beginning to boil, the heat was intense once again. My whole body felt like it was starting to be engulfed by the flames of hatred.
My vision was starting to take on that red haze like usual, the ground below me started to crack, and I could feel the scales forming along my arms.
"So the dragon is going to show his form a bit? I’m quite intrigued." The Angel said while staring right at me.
I could feel the wings pertruding from my back after a few moments, then shortly after the gauntlet formed on my right hand again.
Remember that you learned how to fight properly from Alarion as well. Utilize all of that with your power and I’m sure this will be quite a tough fight for the Angel.
Didn’t you say that he’s pretty damn strong before so I don’t really think that it’s going to be a tough fight for him. Maybe if we all rush him at the same time it’ll be a challenge.
"Fighting as a team is probably the best idea." Ghost suggests as she grips her sword.
To think that she’s still held onto the sword I made her when we first left... It really does make me quite happy.
"I agree. We don’t know how strong he is." I respond in agreement with Ghost.
Akina and Velia also seem to be on the same page as us, even with their silence. There doesn’t always need to be a response for everyone to be on the same wave length.
The Angel also seems to be enjoying this quite a bit with the smile still on his damn face.
"You all will be quite the amusing group to face in combat. I hope you all manage to survive against me." He said before drawing a sword made from pure white light.
I’m willing to bet that it’s going to hurt quite a bit if someone gets hit by that interesting sword of his. I think that it worked out that Lilly stayed back at the junkyard.
She’s a devil anyway so this would probably be a pretty big issue for her to go against an angel using a sword made from light.
