Chapter 80: Where to Begin (1)
I fell asleep pretty quick after saying goodnight to them both. They didn’t say anything back since they were already asleep before me.
Everyone seems to be completely exhausted so I guess it wasn’t just me dealing with the fatigue. The world around me has disappeared as well so it was finally time for me to get some rest.
"Rokuro." A voice calls out to me, almost distant.
Will I ever truly get to have some peace when sleeping or will it always be one thing after another? Not that I mind getting to see some more beautiful girls in my dreams.
If you can even call them dreams.
The space around me was the bright white room that I’ve come to know so well after entering it so many times. Rika was standing in the distance once again but this time it wasn’t just her.
Seraphine was with her, the goddess that I haven’t seen in a good while.
"Isn’t it always such a strange time for us to meet." Seraphine says while walking towards me.
I look down at my hands to see that everything is pretty normal in here still. "It definitely is." I reply while looking back towards her.
"Where to begin, I guess telling you about what’s to come would be wise." Seraphine says while holding a hand up to her cheek.
I didn’t really know what to expect from her since it has definitely been a long while since we last talked. Or did we speak back in the tower?
My memory hasn’t been the greatest lately so it makes everything a bit of a pain in the ass to try to think about.
"Rokuro make sure to listen to her, this is very important." Rika speaks with a more serious tone to her voice.
(Seraphine begins speaking.)
The guilds are probably going to start a war regardless of the efforts at hand so all you can do is fight for the right side. All the main families of Elyndra have decided that it is the best course of action.
They speak for the guild up here More than any guild master could ever. That’s precisely why it won’t be possible to stop this war from starting.
I personally think that this only serves to help pave the way more for you. The path of a dragon is never easy so this is exactly why you need to make it through this.
Also, the moment you’ve been waiting for is finally coming. The Star that caused everything will be making an appearance very soon.
Rather it’ll probably have some of its most powerful troops attack since you are currently the biggest problem. A few other hunters might pose a threat as well but I can’t spill all the secrets.
"So is it literally a star?" I ask while interrupting her.
"That is just the form that it is perceived through, while it has a humanoid form as well." Seraphine answers without hesitation.
Anyway, you’ll need to really push yourself more and more until there is no more limits to break. I’m not sure how far along you’ve gotten in your awakening but right now you’ll need all the power you can muster.
(She finishes speaking as she crosses her arms.)
"Even if Rokuro breaks through all the limits, it might not be enough." Rika speaks up with a bit of worry in her voice.
"A dragon of SSS ranking is strong but you do have a valid reason to worry. This just tells me that not even you understand what secrets lurk within that power. Hehe." Seraphine responds before letting out a small chuckle.
More power that lurks within this? There’s no way that I’d be given such a strong awakening after all these years. I already thought I was pretty powerful with what I was told to start.
Being a SSS rank dragon is already quite the feat so what else could possibly be hiding within this power?
Rika seems to be lost for words after hearing what Seraphine said, leaving it to just me. "What else could possibly lurk within this power of mine?" I question with a curiosity lingering in my voice.
"I can’t spoil everything. A lot of fighting awaits you though so you shouldn’t waste too much time meddling with stupid affairs." Seraphine answers with a smirk.
Stupid affairs like trying to prevent a war? There is a lot alto worry about right now so I guess it would be dumb to start focusing on preventing a war.
Especially if the star is about to make another appearance soon... I’ll need to get even stronger if I want to stop anything that’s about to occur.
But... I still think that a war is able to be prevented somehow, if there was just a way for me to show them that it is pointless.
I don’t even know where to begin myself. I’d usually go with what a goddess suggests but this isn’t something for me to ignore.
Everything disappears out of nowhere and I open my eyes to see the sun slightly shining into the room. Both girls are laying on my chest, still asleep. I was back in the room with them again and it was morning now.
It wasn’t really dark when we first arrived so we just slept through the whole day and night. Makes sense with all the traveling we’ve done lately.
The warmth of the two of them was definitely nice to feel, even if Ghost is a cyborg and Lilly, a demon or devil. Both are beautiful with nice bodies that I couldn’t deny...
The perv has arrived as always. Can’t say I’m surprised by this since you don’t really change much.
