Chapter 26 She Is Not Allowed In

The car door was opened, and Ye Wan grabbed her phone and got out.

Mr. Wang was truly frightened by her determination. He knew that such a feisty woman was not someone he could control. Although unwilling, he valued his life more, and he drove away.

Ye Wan watched the car leave but didn't dare to be careless. She clutched the shard of glass in her hand, blood dripping from her fingers.

The place was desolate, with only the occasional passing car. Ye Wan didn't dare to flag one down, fearing that she would fall from the frying pan into the fire.

She walked for a full hour before reaching the city, only then daring to discard the shard of glass and board a bus.

Perhaps because she looked so disheveled, the driver glanced at her several times and asked if she wanted to call the police. Ye Wan shook her head faintly.

...

Gu Residence.

When Gu Yunting returned, he asked where Ye Wan was. The butler said she hadn't returned yet.

Gu Yunting went upstairs displeased. It was already ten o'clock at night. Seeing that Ye Wan still wasn't back, he called her, but the phone showed it was in use...

Gu Yunting, in his anger, smashed his phone and ordered, "Ye Wan is not allowed in the house when she returns!"

Upon hearing Gu Yunting's words, the butler felt a surge of satisfaction. He immediately instructed people to close the villa's main gate.

At this point, Ye Wan had finally reached the bus stop in the villa district. She endured the pain in her feet and continued walking towards the Gu Residence. Her phone rang, it was Jiang Mi calling. She answered immediately, "Jiang Mi."

"Wanwan, have you got a gig? Two thousand yuan for one night," Jiang Mi asked.

"Yes," Ye Wan replied happily.

"It's a cruise ship gala. They need us to do PR work on the ship. But don't worry, we don't have to do much, just dress up nicely and mingle a bit. Of course, there will be some who want to climb the social ladder, as long as we hold our ground," Jiang Mi said with a smile.

Ye Wan understood her meaning. Jiang Mi hung up the phone, saying they would meet tomorrow, and she would also attend the event.

The villa district where the Gu Residence was located was vast. Walking from the bus stop would take at least half an hour. Ye Wan's feet were hurting too much; it took her a full hour today. By the time she arrived, her shoes were completely ruined, exposing her five toes, which looked quite comical.

Reaching the outside of the villa, she endured the pain and walked to the door to knock. The Gu Residence's villa gate was never closed before. Why was it closed today?

The butler came out. He looked at the disheveled girl with a glint of disdain and satisfaction in his eyes. "The young master has ordered that if you return late, you will have to sleep outside from now on!"

Ye Wan was truly exhausted and hungry at this moment. She knew that Gu Yunting was doing this on purpose; he wanted to see her suffer to feel comfortable.

After speaking, the butler closed the door again. Ye Wan stood at the door for a few seconds. She was too hungry and thirsty. She turned and walked towards a nearby water pipe, which was used to water the plants at home. She turned it on and bent down to drink several mouthfuls of water.

The cool water instantly made her feel a little better. Some water splashed onto her wound. She looked down at her injured right hand. The two long wounds had stopped bleeding, but they stung fiercely when they touched water.

She moved her hand aside, took a few more gulps of water, and then looked at the luxurious villa before heading to the doghouse.

Ye Wan reached the entrance of the doghouse and crouched down to crawl in. Da Bai was already used to it. It moved aside, making half the space for Ye Wan.
