Chapter 27 If She Likes Sleeping in the Doghouse, Let Her

Ye Wan curled herself up and moved into the doghouse with Dabai.

She was both sleepy and exhausted. As soon as she lay down, she fell asleep almost instantly.

Gu Yunting, standing upstairs, saw that Ye Wan would rather sleep in the doghouse than call him to beg for mercy. He was so angry that he thought to himself, was it that difficult to say a few soft words?

He turned and went downstairs. The butler saw him and immediately bowed respectfully, "Young Master, are you going out so late?"

"..." Gu Yunting paused. Yes, what was he doing? If she liked sleeping in the doghouse, let her sleep!

With that thought, Gu Yunting turned back upstairs. After showering, he lay on the bed but tossed and turned, unable to sleep. It started raining outside in the middle of the night. He suddenly sat up and walked to the window to look outside.

Through the curtain of rain, he could see the small doghouse swaying in the wind and rain. Gu Yunting felt a sudden, inexplicable irritation. He couldn't sleep, so he went to the study to deal with some work. He didn't know if it was because it was raining too hard, but he couldn't concentrate. He picked up a cigarette, lit it, and slowly began to smoke.

...

The next day, Ye Wan was woken up by a spray of cold water. She quickly sat up and looked at the person outside who was spraying water around with a hose. The person's eyes held a smug smile.

Ye Wan knew he was doing it on purpose. In the Gu residence, anyone could bully her, even finding pleasure in doing so.

If she hadn't been afraid of Gu Yunting finding out, she probably wouldn't have survived.

Because Gu Yunting had once said that only he could bully Ye Wan here, and anyone else who dared to touch her would be courting death.

From then on, no one dared to openly bully her, but bullying in secret was unavoidable.

Dabai was also woken up by the water. It growled displeasurably at the person deliberately spraying water, letting out a warning sound.

Ye Wan gently patted its head to comfort it. She crawled out of the doghouse.

Sleeping in the doghouse was normal for her. She slept a lot when she was young. Dabai was an old dog; when she was little, he was still a puppy.

After being soothed a couple of times, Dabai quietly lay down again. Ye Wan stretched her body and limped towards the villa.

Ye Wan was now like a beggar. She was dirty and smelly, her clothes were slightly torn and stained with blood, her hair was messy, her shoes were covered in dirt, and she was wearing worn-out shoes with her toes showing...

"Ye Wan, did you go out to steal something!" The butler stared at her in disbelief.

Sun Ma also looked at her with a heartache, wanting to help, but remembering Ye Wan's instructions, she could only hold back.

Ye Wan ignored the butler and walked towards the utility room.

"Stop!" A stern male voice rang out. Ye Wan stopped and looked up to see the man standing on the stairs. He was tall and handsome, wearing a silk robe, exuding an air of noble wealth, as if he were the most honored person in the world.

"Young Master, can I change my clothes before you punish me?" Ye Wan felt a little dizzy now. She knew she might have a fever. It rained last night, and she was wearing thin clothes, making her prone to getting sick.

"Get up here now!" Gu Yunting said angrily, then turned and went upstairs.

Ye Wan felt extremely helpless. Couldn't she have a moment to rest and catch her breath?

She walked upstairs with heavy steps, following Gu Yunting. As she went up, her legs felt extremely weak, and she felt lightheaded.

Gu Yunting's room was covered with a beautiful carpet, which was now marked with a string of footprints from her dirty shoes. She asked, "Young Master, what are your orders?"
