Chapter 479 How Could I Give It Away

Ye Wan turned and went to Jin Bao's small room. By the time Sun Ma saw her, it was too late to stop her. Jin Bao's room was empty. Ye Wan turned to Sun Ma and asked, "Where is Jin Bao?"

"It... it..."

"What happened to it!" Ye Wan asked anxiously.

"A friend of mine liked it, so I gave it away," Gu Yunting said in a cold voice as he walked down from upstairs.

Ye Wan froze upon hearing this, and then anger surged in her chest. She asked coldly, "Gave it to whom!"

"I said it was a friend. It's just a dog. If you like it, just buy another one," Gu Yunting said dismissively.

"Go and get it back for me! You go and get Jin Bao back for me!" Ye Wan was frantic. She rushed forward and blocked Gu Yunting, her eyes red as she glared at him and demanded.

Jin Bao was hers. Why should he give it away just because he wanted to?

"Ye Wan, have you forgotten your place?" Gu Yunting looked at her with icy eyes.

"I haven't forgotten. It's my dog. You have no right to give it away. You get it back for me now!" Ye Wan stubbornly glared at him, her eyes growing redder.

Gu Yunting's phone rang. He glanced at it and answered. A girl's crying came from the other end, "Yun Ting ge ge, wuwuwu, the little dog died. It jumped off the car by itself and fell to its death. It was run over. It died so tragically!"

Ye Wan was very close to him, so she heard everything clearly. In that instant, Ye Wan felt all her blood freeze. Little Jin Bao was dead! Run over and mashed into a pulp!

Gu Yunting also frowned. He said, "If you like it, I'll buy you another one."

"I want one exactly like it," Yan Jia Yi whined coquettishly, her voice still choked with sobs.

"Mhm," Gu Yunting responded.

Ye Wan looked at the man in front of her, her gaze growing colder. She didn't say another word. She walked around him and headed upstairs.

Sun Ma watched the scene with worry, wringing her hands anxiously. She knew how much Ye Wan loved little Jin Bao.

Gu Yunting turned back to look at Ye Wan and said coldly, "Stop."

Ye Wan ignored him and strode upstairs. She didn't stop until she reached the bedroom and went into the bathroom. She turned and locked the door, then slid down the door with her back against it. She slowly hugged her knees, hating her own powerlessness, unable to even protect her own dog.

Gu Yunting followed her upstairs. He knocked on the bathroom door. Ye Wan took a shower, dried her hair, and tidied herself up before opening the door.

She still ignored him and didn't look at him. He grabbed her, roughly pulled her back in front of him, and kissed her fiercely as he lowered his head.

Ye Wan's eyes widened in shock. She reached out to push him away. She had never met such a shameless person. He had caused the death of her little Jin Bao, and yet he was kissing her as if nothing had happened.

But her strength was like a tickle to him. By the time he kissed her until she was weak and her body went limp, she stopped resisting. Gu Yunting carried her back to the bed and pulled the covers over her.

Ye Wan pulled the quilt up to cover her head. The moment she closed her eyes, tears still flowed uncontrollably.

Gu Yunting pulled down the quilt that was covering her head. Ye Wan immediately turned her back to him, not wanting him to see her crying.

The next day, when Ye Wan woke up and looked at herself in the mirror, her eyes were swollen like walnuts. She had nightmares all night, filled with the tragic death of little Jin Bao. Her pillow was soaked when she woke up.

Her good mood for the winter break had been completely extinguished by the death of little Jin Bao.
