Gu Yunting noticed the change in her emotions when she faced him. He was in a good mood too and walked in, asking, "Were you waiting for me?"
Ye Wan nodded immediately, then felt a little embarrassed. She showed him the few sets of numbers she had analyzed and asked, "These are the sets I picked. I want to buy three sets, can you help me choose?"
Gu Yunting took the paper she handed him and sat down to look for a while. He finally chose three sets of numbers, telling her she could go and try her luck.
Ye Wan took her phone and saved the three sets of numbers. She placed the paper on the bedside table.
"I'm hungry," Gu Yunting said.
"I'll go cook you some noodles!" Ye Wan readily got up this time, put on her shoes, and went to the kitchen.
Two bowls of noodles were quickly cooked. Each of them had a bowl, and half an egg each. Ye Wan was puzzled. Was the Gu residence cutting back on expenses recently? Why was there only one egg in the refrigerator?
After finishing the noodles, Gu Yunting followed Ye Wan back to the room. While he was in the bathroom, Ye Wan quickly took out painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs and swallowed them.
"What are you eating?" Gu Yunting came out of the bathroom and saw her swallowing pills.
Ye Wan was startled and coughed, immediately shaking her head. "Nothing... nothing at all."
She quickly hid the two medicine bottles behind her, intending to stuff them somewhere. Gu Yunting walked over, took the two bottles, and looked at their labels.
Painkillers, anti-inflammatories.
"Why are you taking these?" Gu Yunting stared at her and asked.
Ye Wan couldn't explain. Her knees and chest hurt, which was why she had to take more painkillers. Otherwise, she couldn't walk without limping, and her chest pain was so severe she couldn't breathe.
Gu Yunting unscrewed the bottle and found that the bottles, each containing thirty pills, were almost empty. How much had she taken? Was she eating less to take her medicine?
"My knee hurts. I fell quite hard," Ye Wan said, forcing herself to explain.
She had expected Gu Yunting to get angry, but he didn't. He stared at her for a moment, then sat down, tossed the medicine onto the bed, rolled up her pant leg, and carefully removed the bandage from her knee.
Ye Wan tried to pull away, but he pulled her back, his eyes warning her. The bandage was completely removed. When Gu Yunting saw the injury on her knee, his chest trembled. Although the wound had already partially scabbed over, he could still imagine how terrible it must have been.
The massive wound covered almost her entire knee. The other side was slightly better, but not much.
"Did you jump off a building?" Gu Yunting's fingers trembled, unable to imagine how much pain she must have been in.
"I was accidentally bumped into and fell out of the car. I didn't jump off a building," Ye Wan answered meekly, afraid he would investigate.
"Rest well for the next few days. You're not allowed to go anywhere. I'll call Jin Lan over," Gu Yunting said, reaching for his phone to call Jin Lan.
Ye Wan quickly stopped him. "Don't trouble Jin Lan. I've already recovered more than half, haven't I? Please, I'm really fine."
"You're fine, yet you take large amounts of painkillers every day. What do you think your body is? Do you want to die?" Gu Yunting's voice grew angrier.
Ye Wan immediately shook her head. "I'll definitely take them as prescribed next time!"
Gu Yunting was still quite angry. Ye Wan suddenly reached out and held one of his fingers, saying, "Don't you have that special medicine? Give it to me, and I'll recover faster."
Gu Yunting was truly angry, but seeing her pathetic look, his heart softened. He could only get up to get the medicine.
