Just as Azuma prepared to deliver the final blow, a magically imbued sword streaked across the sky, descending towards them with incredible speed. Even Azuma was forced to shift his position to evade the incoming attack.
"That’s..." Wendy looked up towards the sky, her eyes widening in surprise.
A woman clad in shining armor was rapidly approaching, propelled through the air by a golden cat.
"Erza-san, and Nancy!" Wendy exclaimed, a smile spreading across her face as she recognized her comrades.

Before Tenrou Island, Makarov, seemingly unfazed by Capricorn’s flight past him, declared, "There’s nowhere to escape!"
He clasped his hands together, and a terrifying golden light erupted from his palms, radiating outwards with immense power. He was prepared to unleash the full force of Fairy Law, his ultimate magic, to judge and punish his enemies.
However, upon catching sight of the figure perched atop the Grimoire Heart airship and the ominous black magic radiating from the object held within its grasp, Makarov abruptly halted his attack. He recognized the dark magic as a super-magic of equivalent power to his own Fairy Law. If the two forces clashed directly, the resulting cataclysmic explosion would undoubtedly annihilate everyone within its radius.
...
Meanwhile, Finn, racing towards the coastline at breakneck speed, suddenly came to a halt. His attention was drawn to the sky, where numerous orange spheres were descending, each containing a human form.
In the blink of an eye, Finn found himself completely surrounded by a massive force of Grimoire Heart soldiers. Recognizing the distinctive insignia emblazoned upon their attire, Finn instantly understood that these were indeed members of the formidable dark guild.
Finn frowned, his expression one of grim determination. "So, you’ve come to obstruct my path?" he muttered, his voice laced with a hint of icy resolve.
"Uggaaahhhh!"
Suddenly, a remarkably obese man, his head nearly as large as his torso, plummeted from the sky, landing with a resounding thud directly in front of Finn. His head appeared to be embedded in the ground, while his short legs continued to flail uncontrollably.
"He... help..." a muffled plea for assistance emanated from beneath the ground.
The previously tense atmosphere dissipated instantly, replaced by a wave of stunned silence.
Finn remained speechless, his gaze fixed upon the fallen figure. The Grimoire Heart mages opposite him were equally stunned into silence.
Several of the Grimoire Heart mages rushed forward, frantically extracting the enormously overweight man from the ground.
"Lord Hikaru, are you alright?" one of the mages inquired anxiously.
Hikaru waved his hand dismissively. "Of course I’m fine," he declared, his voice laced with a hint of forced nonchalance. "It was merely a slightly more rapid descent than anticipated!"
"This minor injury is utterly inconsequential!" Hikaru added, subtly touching the sizable lump that had formed upon his forehead as a result of his abrupt landing.
"As expected of Lord Hikaru!" one of the mages quickly chimed in, showering him with praise.
Finn let out a long sigh, his expression one of utter bewilderment. Based on the brief exchange he had just witnessed, Finn deduced that this individual was indeed one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory. However, what he hadn’t anticipated was that this formidable mage would possess such a remarkably unassuming and somewhat comical personality.
Shaking his head slightly, Finn spoke, his voice laced with a hint of curiosity. "So, you’re with Grimoire Heart, correct? And you are one of the remaining Seven Kin of Purgatory?"
Upon hearing Finn’s words, Hikaru fixed his gaze upon Finn, his eyes narrowed in suspicion.
Just as Finn braced himself for an imminent attack, Hikaru made a sudden, unexpected move. He vanished in a flash, taking cover behind a nearby tree—his sizable frame barely concealed by the relatively slender trunk.
Peeking out from behind the tree, Hikaru stammered nervously, his voice laced with a hint of forced bravado. "Even if you stare at me with that intense gaze, it won’t intimidate me in the slightest. Because I’m not afraid... not at all!" he declared, emphasizing his supposed fearlessness.
"My name is Kain Hikaru, and I am one of the formidable Seven Kin of Purgatory, belonging to the Grimoire Heart guild," Hikaru announced, his voice laced with a hint of boastful pride.
"I’m incredibly strong..." Hikaru muttered, before quickly retreating behind the tree once more.
A bead of cold sweat trickled down Finn’s forehead. He had never before encountered such an utterly bewildering and unexpected situation.
Finn ignited a fiery inferno in his right hand, his gaze sweeping across the assembled group of Grimoire Heart mages. His voice was laced with a chilling tone of menace. "I do not care who you are. I am presently occupied with a matter of utmost urgency, and I must resolve this situation swiftly," Finn declared, his voice laced with a hint of icy resolve.
Upon hearing Finn’s words, Hikaru’s eyes widened in alarm. He hastily emerged from behind the tree, his large hands outstretched as if to impede Finn’s advance.
"Please... please hold on a moment before commencing hostilities!" Hikaru pleaded, his voice laced with a hint of nervous urgency.
Hikaru scratched his head nervously. "I... I seem to have developed a rather bothersome itch..." he mumbled, his voice laced with a hint of discomfort.
After scratching his head vigorously, Hikaru reached into his cloak, his movements laced with a hint of nervous anticipation.
"My magic is Midnight Arrival! Prepare to witness its power!" Hikaru declared, his voice laced with a hint of boastful confidence.
With a flourish, Hikaru produced a small, intricately crafted voodoo doll from within his cloak. He then turned his attention towards Finn, extending his hand towards him.
"Alright then, quickly hand over your hair!" Hikaru demanded, his voice laced with a hint of impatient urgency.
"Huh?" Finn responded, his voice laced with a mixture of confusion and bewilderment. He couldn’t comprehend the bizarre request.
Could this individual possibly be suffering from some form of mental affliction? Perhaps he would require the assistance of a mental health professional, Finn mused to himself.
Observing Finn’s lack of response, Hikaru’s expression shifted from confident to anxious.
"I mean, my magic requires your hair," Hikaru explained, his voice laced with a hint of pleading desperation. "Simply place a strand of your hair upon this cursed doll, and I shall be able to manipulate your actions at will. This is an incredibly potent curse magic, you see!" Hikaru declared, his voice laced with a hint of boastful pride. He struck a triumphant pose, hands akimbo, his laughter echoing through the air.
"What are you even thinking? Given the potentially devastating consequences of your magic, why would I ever consider handing over my hair to you?" Finn responded, his voice laced with a mixture of disbelief and exasperation. He had reached the conclusion that Hikaru’s mental faculties were indeed impaired.
"What?" Hikaru exclaimed, his expression shifting from one of confident boastfulness to one of sudden enlightenment.
Finn let out a heavy sigh, his expression one of utter exasperation. "I simply do not have the time to engage in such childish games," Finn stated firmly, his voice laced with a hint of icy resolve.
