The female ghost, seeing she was no match for the unreasonable mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, refused to back down. She wanted to protect her child and be his pillar of support.
"Since you're being unreasonable, I'll call the police!" the female ghost said sternly, hugging her child.
Hearing that the female ghost was going to call the police, the neighbor woman acted as if she had lost her mind and dragged her directly into the house.
The female ghost was thin and stumbled onto the sofa during the struggle. Her clothes were pulled open, and the little boy beside her wailed. She became frightened then and tried to get up and leave, but the neighbor held her down tightly.
At that moment, the neighbor's husband came out of the bedroom. He saw the female ghost, disheveled, sprawled on the sofa. Her pristine skin was exposed to the air, her smooth shoulders revealed, and her eyes, filled with tears and vulnerability, made her look like a delicious lamb led to slaughter.
His eyes gleamed, and he gave his wife a meaningful look.
The neighbor's expression darkened. She released her grip on the female ghost and, grabbing the little boy by his clothes, threw him out the door.
In front of his wife, child, and mother, the neighbor's husband reached out his lecherous hand. He dared not act overtly, so he resorted to groping and molesting her.
The female ghost screamed and dodged on the sofa, but it was all in vain.
Tears streamed down her face, her expression filled with despair.
Outside the door, the little boy sat on the ground, crying inconsolably. He was too young to understand how to ask for help from others, and could only express his fear through tears.
Ning Wei watched from the side, her hands trembling. She couldn't control herself and rushed forward, intending to push away the depraved man. However, her hands passed right through his body, causing him no harm.
Ning Wei, as a bystander, felt the female ghost's helplessness.
Her piercing screams, her frantic dodging hands.
The male host's triumphant smirk, the soft, full sensation in his hands.
The female host's envious eyes, her resentful expression.
The old woman sat on a stool, holding a teacup with a cold indifference.
The two little boys watched with curiosity, their eyes unblinking, afraid to miss the astonishing scene.
Ning Wei's eyes reddened, her breathing unsteady. She suddenly opened her eyes.
It was already dawn outside, but she felt no warmth. She mumbled to herself, repeating, "I will kill them! I will kill them!"
At that moment, Ning Wei seemed like a madwoman, trembling uncontrollably. Tears dripped onto her pillow without her realizing it. Her eyes were filled with hatred and murderous intent, but her body was completely immobilized!
She hated herself for being this way, yet she couldn't break free from the constraints of this body.
After a long while, she finally regained control of her body.
The first thing she did was smash all the typhoon figurines and other items in the bedroom, as if destroying them could quell her inner rage.
Due to the commotion, the passengers who had been waiting in the living room rushed in.
They expected to see the female ghost when the door opened, but instead, they found only Ning Wei amidst scattered debris.
Ning Wei stood by the window, pounding it with her fist. Her hands were covered in blood, but the window remained unmoved.
They assumed she was possessed by the ghost and quickly used force to wrap her in a quilt before taking her to the living room.
Two older female passengers began to curse loudly inside the room, using extremely vulgar language.
According to their explanation, this was done to drive away malevolent spirits.
Ning Wei, unable to break free from the quilt, took several deep breaths and then, speaking calmly to Fu Chengwei, who stood guard with a serious expression, said, "I'm alright now, let me out."
Fu Chengwei didn't dare make the decision himself and looked at the others for help.
Several people surrounded Ning Wei, asking her various questions. Only after confirming that she was truly alright did they release the quilt.
Ning Wei complained, "You wrapped me too tightly, I was suffocating!"
Seeing her so normal now, in stark contrast to her frantic state just moments before.
"Do you know you were possessed just now?" Fu Chengwei approached Ning Wei, a hint of complaint in his voice.
Ning Wei glared at him, "I wasn't possessed."
The others clearly didn't believe her, their expressions suggesting they thought she had temporarily lost her memory.
Someone handed her a cup of hot water, "It's okay if you were possessed. Fortunately, we were all here, otherwise you would have wanted to break the glass and jump out."
Ning Wei didn't bother to explain. She picked up the cup and took a long gulp. Her action was so fierce that it looked less like she was drinking water and more like she was drinking blood.
After confirming that Ning Wei had returned to normal, the female passengers began to recount their dreams from the previous night.
The first person said, "I saw her arguing with her husband, then she took out a utility knife and started slashing her arms in front of the child. Blood poured out in streaks, making me so disgusted that I instinctively closed my eyes, and then it was morning."
The second person said, "I saw her crying suddenly when she was alone at home, even though no one else was there."
The third person said, "I saw her arguing with her husband, and every time, he would slam the door and leave."
The fourth person said, "I saw them arguing at night, and she ran out alone. No one chased after her. She stood outside in the cold wind for an hour. She didn't have her key and climbed the stairs home by herself."
Every person who had worn the female ghost's clothes had seen her unhappiness through their dreams.
It was Ning Wei's turn to speak.
Ning Wei let out a slow breath and, before speaking, warned everyone, "No matter what I say, I hope you can control your emotions."
Everyone expected something terrifying and huddled closer to each other. Then they told Ning Wei, "We're ready, go ahead."
Ning Wei looked at the bright, sunny sky outside and recounted the chilling events from her dream.
Her tone was calm, as if she were telling a story, detailing every aspect, every nuance.
Every word fell upon the passengers' ears, and every sentence felt like a knife cutting into them, leaving invisible wounds that caused discomfort without being seen.
One hot-tempered man, after listening to Ning Wei, clenched the disposable cup in his hand. The half-full cup of water spilled out.
Because Ning Wei's account was so detailed, many female passengers wept silently.
As women themselves, they could empathize with the pain the female ghost had experienced.
Some gritted their teeth, while others punched the wall in frustration.
"So you weren't possessed, you witnessed the entire ordeal, and that's why you couldn't control your emotions, right?" Song Zhi slowly spoke, addressing Ning Wei.
Ning Wei nodded.
Someone then asked, "What happened afterward? Did they kill her?"
Ning Wei shook her head, "My emotions were too unstable, and I was directly pulled out of the dream. I didn't get to see what happened next."
