Chapter 23 Academy Stand Four

The uncle sat down on the ground, while Ning Wei had already gracefully moved to the other side.

He could only glare at her hatefully. Just as he was about to get up and chase after her, Fu Chengwei came out with a broom.

He walked over with the broom, but it felt like he was holding a saber. He swung it a couple of times in the air, silently warning the lecherous man.

The management uncle hadn't expected that by chance, a male student would get a weapon for self-defense. After facing Fu Chengwei's determined gaze, he knew today's matter wouldn't succeed.

He shot a resentful glance at the two students, then clutched his waist and walked towards the kitchen.

As soon as he reached the kitchen, he started finding fault with everything, taking out his anger on the aunties who helped in the kitchen.

The aunties just kept their heads down and worked, showing no intention of talking back or resisting.

Meanwhile, Ning Wei was still wiping tables when Fu Chengwei came over and asked, "How was it, did you get taken advantage of?"

Ning Wei shook her head and pointed to the banana peel on the ground. "Sweep this up quickly, don't let us slip on it too."

Upon hearing this, Fu Chengwei understood. He knew Ning Wei was not someone to be trifled with, and one had to weigh their own capabilities before trying to take advantage of her.

However, this was not a place to linger. The two of them hurriedly cleaned all the tables.

Fu Chengwei went to the kitchen to return the broom and to give that lecherous man a warning.

The man had been thoroughly dealt with by the two students today and had no inclination to cause trouble anymore. He waved them away repeatedly, urging them to leave quickly.

After leaving the cafeteria, the two of them immediately decided not to return to their classroom.

Tonight was a good opportunity for a night exploration of the school.

Their first destination was the small grove, to see if any passengers had left useful information.

Their agreed-upon exchange point was the only well-grown osmanthus tree in the entire grove. They would fold notes and bury them in the soil.

This kind of dirty work was naturally Fu Chengwei's task. He dug out the notes with all his might, and the two of them stealthily found a small lamppost, examining them carefully under the dim light.

They found a total of two notes. One was left by Song Zhi, stating that a female teacher from Class 2, Grade 1 was particularly interested in him.

Upon seeing this note, Fu Chengwei rolled his eyes and complained to Ning Wei beside him, "What kind of information is this!"

Ning Wei ignored him and continued to open the second note. It was left by Mei Nan from the maintenance department, who had found a pink piece of underwear in the department.

Fu Chengwei cursed Mei Nan as a pervert. "I didn't expect him to look so honest, yet be interested in a piece of underwear."

Ning Wei couldn't hold back and smacked him hard. "Are you just eating without using your brain? The maintenance department is all adult men, why would there be a pink piece of underwear?"

Fu Chengwei scratched his head. This kind of thinking was never his strong suit.

It had only been a day, and it seemed everyone had made considerable progress.

Ning Wei and Fu Chengwei couldn't have come here for nothing. Ning Wei added another note, which read: The cafeteria uncle is a pervert!!!!!

The countless exclamation marks that followed were undoubtedly added by Fu Chengwei. He said only with so many exclamation marks could other passengers feel the rage about to erupt from his inner volcano.

Ning Wei was speechless at him and kicked him in the butt again. "Can you hurry up!"

Fu Chengwei grumbled, complaining that Ning Wei wasn't gentle enough with him, considering they were classmates.

Ning Wei made a gesture as if to kick him again, and he immediately jumped up and moved aside.

Seeing Fu Chengwei's annoying demeanor, Ning Wei's fists clenched, and she even considered deliberately letting him step on a death rule.

After reading the small notes, Ning Wei suggested they go to the library.

Fu Chengwei was afraid of ghosts but unwilling to go back to the classroom alone, so he could only grit his teeth and go with Ning Wei.

He was much taller and bigger than Ning Wei, but now he was curled up like a little chick hiding behind Ning Wei, constantly urging her, "You absolutely must protect me."

Ning Wei had no desire to pay attention to him, even thinking of knocking him out on the spot.

Thus, with one person muttering and the other resigned, they soon found the library.

The library had five floors. Four floors were for reading and studying, and the fifth floor was the tiered classroom where the school held large meetings.

Not all classes had study sessions today, so some students chose to bring their books to the library for quiet study.

Before even entering the library, a conspicuous red sign appeared at the entrance: Silence is forbidden in the library!

The red font on top seemed to have some problem, with irregular red paint dripping down from the word "silence."

Upon closer inspection, it had been dry for a long time.

"It looks a bit scary," Fu Chengwei whispered from the side.

The two of them swiped their student cards and successfully entered the library.

The interior was brightly lit, with students scattered here and there.

Most were studying diligently, while a small portion clearly treated it as a dating spot.

Look at that couple, they were practically sticking together like twins.

Fu Chengwei nudged Ning Wei with his elbow and signaled her to look too.

Ning Wei pinched Fu Chengwei hard, and he cried out in pain, covering his mouth. Although he was a bit foolish, he remembered the warning at the entrance, which could potentially be a hidden death rule. He didn't want to die so easily.

The two of them went up floor by floor, even their footsteps deliberately lightened.

As they reached the third floor, Fu Chengwei caused trouble again.

He grabbed Ning Wei's wrist and whispered in her ear, "My stomach hurts, I need to go to the restroom. You're not allowed to leave, just sit there and wait for me."

Fu Chengwei even picked a seat for Ning Wei and casually grabbed a romance novel from the bookshelf, shoving it into her hand.

Ning Wei was speechless at his series of actions. Considering he had protected her in the cafeteria, she decided to indulge him this once.

Fu Chengwei, holding his stomach, scurried to the restroom like a little mouse. Ning Wei sat on the stool, idly reading to pass the time.

She read so quickly that it made one suspect she was just flipping through the pages.

When she reached the middle, a piece of paper fell out.

Ning Wei bent down to pick it up, and the content on the paper made her gasp.

It was written in bright red ink: Run! Run! Run!

The wording was urgent, but unfortunately, no further information was left.

Ning Wei put the note in her pocket and then went to look for other books.

Fu Chengwei stayed in the restroom for a long time. Ning Wei had already looked through over a dozen books by the time he came out.

He knew he was in the wrong and came to Ning Wei's side, saying, "What are you looking for?"

Ning Wei glanced at him. "Did you fall into a cesspit?"

Fu Chengwei frowned. "I brought back a clue for you."

Ning Wei didn't even look up, completely uninterested in the clue he mentioned.
