Chapter 931 - 931 261

931: Chapter 261 931: Chapter 261 In the Far North Forest, less than a hundred thousand li west of Phoenix Valley—an area yet to be named Phoenix Valley at this time, but it wouldn’t be long now.

The whole expanse gleamed with silver-white snow.

A monk radiated golden light, with the Dharma of the Bodhisattva resplendently behind him, dispersing a swath of Netherworld’s Qi with a wave of his hand.

With a backward slap in the void, he only shattered layers upon layers of space.

The monk frowned.

Where had the red light gone?

He had intended to travel stealthily to Guiwang Mountain, yet on the way, he encountered a hurried red light, resembling a silk scroll or perhaps a thin quilt.

This was not important; what mattered was the primitive aura emanating from the scroll.

It was one of the oldest Laws related to causality!

The Way of Cause and Effect had always been the most cherished Great Tao in the Buddha World.

Even a mere wisp of the Law’s Qi should belong to the Buddha World!

It was indeed a grand opportunity for the Buddha World.

He had meant to seize that red light, but in a flash, it had torn through space and disappeared, eluding his grasp.

Not only did he fail to capture the red light, but from where it disappeared, a burst of extremely yin and bitterly cold Qi emerged, ghostly and chilling, almost injuring his golden body.

The monk stood still in the snow, resorted to various methods, and assured himself that he truly couldn’t find the red light anymore.

From his bosom, he took out a stick of incense, lighting it and praying in the snowy land.

In just a moment, the incense smoke twirled and transformed into a Bodhisattva seated on auspicious clouds with a look of immense suffering.

The monk prostrated deeply towards the smoky Bodhisattva, “Disciple Abstinence Monastery Kuran pays homage to the Big Freedom Bodhisattva!”

Big Freedom Bodhisattva, with a face of agony, appeared within the smoke.

“Amitabha Buddha!” A compassionate voice echoed, “Kuran lights incense to seek me, for what matter?”

In the Star Sea, only monks who had been Buddha’s Sons had such incense, which could cross All Heavens and Myriad Realms and the barrier of the Star Sea to contact him.

They wouldn’t do this unless it was for a matter of great importance.

Kuran spoke respectfully, “Reporting to Bodhisattva!

Just now, in the Northern Extreme Forest of Mystery Huang, I chanced upon a treasure, a red light containing the most pristine Way of Cause and Effect.

However, due to insufficient fate with the Law, I could not retain this treasure.”

Big Freedom Bodhisattva made a gesture as if touching flowers, “Show me your memory of encountering the red light.”

Kuran bowed again, and from his crown, a beam of white light appeared, resembling smoke or mist.

Unlike Su He’s retrospective vision with clear imagery, Big Freedom Bodhisattva seemed to see everything as he gazed upon the white light.

His eyes suddenly brightened, “A Marriage Certificate!”

The first Marriage Certificate in the world!

What it contained was not causality but the Principle of Marriage!

It was the very first Principle of Marriage in heaven and earth, for marriage is also a cause and effect!

Aligned with the Tao of the Buddhist, this treasure was fated with the Buddha World!

The appearance of this treasure did not resonate with heaven and earth, nor did it herald to all below.

Yet, a Buddhist Disciple had witnessed it.

Was it not destined to belong to the Buddha World?

“Amitabha Buddha!” Big Freedom Bodhisattva brought his palms together, “I am aware of this matter, you may carry on.

I will send an Avatar to the Lower Realm and personally make the journey.”

“Amitabha Buddha!

The Buddha is compassionate, the Bodhisattva is compassionate!” Kuran bowed deeply.

In the Phoenix Tomb Ghostland.

A fox retreated step by step.

Did these three people seem like no good fellows, wanting to snatch it away to become a Soul Beast?

Pah!

All Soul Beasts and their masters need compatibility and mutual consent—since ancient times, there had never been a Soul Beast that was taken by force.

Backing away, the fox saw the woman opposite slightly frown.

Without speaking or revealing anything through her gaze, the disdain seemed to seep from her very bones.

The fox was taken aback.

The woman was not disdaining it, but rather, she disdained all Soul Beasts!

She simply did not want to possess a Soul Beast—not everyone wished to have a Soul Beast so close there were no secrets left.

Especially those truly exceptional demonic figures, who did not need the assistance of a Soul Beast and held strong biases against them.

As for Soul Beasts being able to transmit messages across the Profound Realm—please, spare me!

Once you’ve attained the Stepping Sky Seven-fold, you can communicate across vast worlds!

It was common for Stepping Sky Cultivators to hear Greater Powers cursing each other across vast worlds.

Not all were veiled attacks; greetings to one’s family were not entirely absent either.

The fox’s eyes shone.

How coincidental!

You don’t wish to have a Soul Beast, and I certainly don’t want a master.

We’re made for each other!

Just ignore my appearance.

You continue your journey, and I’ll continue pretending to be a Bone Beast, alright?

Just as it thought this, the Bone Beast on the ground, squashed into a lump by the Toad, suddenly floated up, wriggled, and morphed into a semi-skeleton.

Su He was taken aback.

This semi-skeleton was strikingly familiar.

It belonged to the same set as the half he had previously encountered and sent flying!

As soon as the skeleton emerged, it gathered the chill of ice around it and shot two beams of light into the glabella of Ji Feixue and the fox— it was not the skeleton’s doings, Ji Feixue could sense her Symbols drawing the skeleton’s power to her.

The fox was just as affected!

The fox was not a Toad; when it fell into this place, it had also encountered a skeleton fragment, and it was thanks to the skeleton that it remained unscathed.

Now, as Ji Feixue absorbed half the skeleton’s power, the remaining half actively sought out the fox.

The two beams of light didn’t shoot separately; they remained connected at the center of the skeleton, splitting towards the woman and the fox.

It was as if a mechanism launched two ropes, suddenly pulling them together.

The light couldn’t move Ji Feixue an inch, so the fox was yanked forcefully towards her glabella, charging towards the Intention Orifice.

Ji Feixue’s eyebrows knit together as she slashed her sword at the light.

The fox, terrified, grabbed the light, wailing as it tried to run sideways.

But escape was futile; it couldn’t break free.

Ji Feixue’s Sword Light struck, but the light remained unaffected.

Instead, a red hue filled her vision as the fox slammed into her glabella.

It was pulled by the light towards her Intention Orifice.

The fox struggled to flee outward while Ji Feixue tried to pull it out as well.
