Chapter 33 Unfathomable, Part 2

The anchor had obviously been moved. She remembered telling Jia Wenjun and Gong Dalong how to drop and raise the anchor to be safe and having them double-check it before bed. Did Jia Wenjun not check? And wasn't Gong Dalong sleeping in the wheelhouse? How could he not know about something as big as hitting a reef?

Anna felt her pocket, wanting to use her cell phone to call for help on the water, but realized that she had forgotten to bring her phone in her haste.

"Auntie Anna, what's wrong?"

Anna was startled by the sudden voice behind her. She turned her head and saw Nao Nao, who had walked up behind her at some point, and the big Golden Retriever.

Anna looked displeased. "Who told you to run around? Go get your mother and gather on the deck, and put on your life jackets."

Watching Nao Nao and the dog go down the stairs, Anna suddenly calmed down. Instead of pulling the emergency call switch on the boat, she opened the captain's manual and began to look up self-rescue methods.

"Life jackets, ropes, floating objects, signal guns..." Although Anna was flustered, she still wanted to minimize the losses. She didn't want to make a big deal out of it. After all, she had bought her ship's license with money. If they found out, she would definitely be in trouble.

In this situation, she had to do everything possible to ensure the safety of the people on board first, and then find a friend to drive a boat over and pull them away. As long as no one died, this matter could be covered up.

Jia Wenjun ran outside the cabin and looked down at the side of the hull. The reef had already smashed a big hole in the front of the boat, and the tide had begun to pour into the hull wave after wave. Based on her memory of fishing yesterday, Jia Wenjun was sure that the tide had only just begun to rise, and the tide would last for three hours here.

Who knows what the hull will look like in those three hours.

Jia Wenjun found a spot closest to the reef and carefully observed the marks on the reef under the boat. She found that the reef was covered with barnacles and mussels. Her heart sank. The presence of these barnacles and shellfish meant that the reef would definitely be submerged after the tide rose.

What made Jia Wenjun's heart sink even further was that the signal icon on her phone had turned into an "X". This meant that there was no signal in this area at all.

Jia Wenjun opened the compass app on her phone and pointed it in the direction the wind was blowing. Sure enough, it was just as she had predicted, it had turned to a northerly wind. This was a sign that the weather was about to change.

It never rains but it pours.

As a seasoned angler, Jia Wenjun was extremely sensitive to changes in the weather, because any climate change would affect the catch. When a typhoon was about to come, the catch was usually more than usual, and the weather was hotter than usual.

Like the good weather when the yacht set off, and the Seriola lalandi fish that she couldn't usually catch, it all seemed like a harbinger of the typhoon to come.

Jia Wenjun's heart sank more and more. She wasn't familiar with yachts, but because she often went out fishing on fishing boats, she knew a thing or two about how to survive at sea. At this time, all she could think of was to quickly get everyone out of their rooms and work together to protect themselves until the rescue boat arrived.

"Wenjun, come and help!" Lili shouted. She had knocked on each door and found that the toilet door was locked. She broke it open and found Sun Jiaojiao lying inside, already weak.

Jia Wenjun went over to help, just as she bumped into Lu Maowang carrying Bai Mashan, who was wrapped in a blanket, out of the room.

"Little Jia? Is the boat really going to sink?" Lu Maowang looked panicked.

"I don't know yet, but we need to prepare the survival supplies first." Jia Wenjun didn't want everyone to panic, so she could only gloss over it for now. The specific situation would have to be determined after Anna inspected the ship.

Lu Maowang was stunned for a moment, then said, "Okay, I'll listen to you!"

After saying that, he quickly carried Bai Mashan towards the deck outside.

Old Master Wang, hungover, was woken up and came out of his room. He ran into Teacher Lin, who couldn't stand still because the boat was tilted and thought he had a cerebral infarction. Both of them were panicked.

"Old Master, is there water in your room?" Teacher Lin asked.

"It's soaked my slippers. Hurry up and put on your life jacket and go to the deck." Old Master said and was about to leave.

"Where, where are the life jackets? I don't dare to go back to my room." Teacher Lin was so scared that she couldn't speak properly.

Old Master Wang saw that her steps were trembling, so he quickly helped her into the room to get it.

After Jia Wenjun and Lili helped Sun Jiaojiao onto the deck, Lili suddenly realized that Manager Gong had not been seen since just now.

Something this big, he should have been busy organizing things. It was impossible that he was nowhere to be seen.

"Where's Manager Gong? Have you seen him?" Lili asked Wenjun.

"No." Jia Wenjun thought for a moment and said, "Have all the people from the rooms on the boat come out? Have you seen Zhao Di?"

Lili was a little surprised that she had specifically mentioned her "enemy" Zhao Di, but she shook her head and said, "I didn't see Zhao Di. There's no one in room number one. Sun Jiaojiao should have been sleeping in the toilet all night. I don't know where Zhao Di is. Also, I knocked on Lao Hu's wife's room for a long time, but no one answered. I guess she's sleeping too soundly. I'll go take a look again."

After Lili finished speaking, Jia Wenjun also frowned.

"Go take a look." Jia Wenjun said as she walked inside, feeling an inexplicable sense of foreboding.

She called Lao Hu and asked him to open the door.

Hu Sixiang was now completely awake. He was pulling his son and preventing him from running around. He thought his wife was packing up the things in the cabin, but he didn't expect that she hadn't woken up yet.

"Brother Hu, hurry up and call your wife out to gather. The boat is in danger." Lu Maowang said.

"This woman doesn't take care of the kids and only thinks about eating and sleeping all day long!" Hu Sixiang cursed and took out the key from his pocket, angrily walking towards the cabin room.

Afraid that the couple would start arguing again, everyone followed behind him.

Just as he walked to room number 7, Hu Sixiang heard Hao Jiening's scream. The sound was so loud that it startled everyone outside the door.

Hu Sixiang panicked when he heard Hao Jiening's shrill voice. He quickly inserted the key into the lock, and the door opened instantly.

In the room, Hao Jiening was covering her body with a blanket. She was naked and huddled at the end of the bed, her face full of horror and fear. Gong Dalong was lying naked on the bed, and at this time, Gong Dalong had obviously lost his vital signs.
