Just as Berahino controlled the ball, Chelsea’s top defenders, Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill, swooped in.
They executed a well-timed challenge, stealing the ball from Berahino’s feet.
At that exact moment—
The referee blew the final whistle.
The match ended with a final score of 4-3.
Stoke City had come agonizingly close to equalizing, but in the end, luck was not on their side.
