Chapter 340: Chapter 338 Thank You Third Brother [3 More]

Maya Spencer didn’t notice Lillian Morris watching her. She felt Liam Spencer’s enthusiasm and reached out her small hands, gently encircling his neck in response.

Then, Liam picked Maya up, letting her legs wrap around his waist, and walked toward the room just like that.

Lillian watched their intimacy, knowing Liam was deliberately putting on a show with Maya, aware that Lillian was behind them.

In the stairwell, Lillian sat on the steps, wanting to impulsively take Maya away, but Maya’s cautiousness stopped him. Even if he didn’t care about the Morris Clan Group, he couldn’t ignore Maya’s feelings or the Hanson Clan Group.

He wasn’t initially following them on purpose, it was just that they coincidentally ended up in the elevator together. He had a moment of weakness and waited at the emergency exit after they got off, wanting to see how Liam treated Maya when no one was around, only to be discovered.

Now, what troubled him more was how he could persuade Maya not to keep accommodating Liam, how to teach her to plan for herself.

Although Maya is usually ruthless and vengeful, she’s unreserved with those she cares about. Lillian genuinely wished she could be indifferent to everyone; that way, he would truly be at ease and not have to rack his brain to save her.

Moreover, Lillian is not Liam. He couldn’t disregard Maya’s feelings. He wanted her to leave Liam without concerns, without worrying about anyone, but this wasn’t an easy task.

Meanwhile, in the suite, Liam carried Maya into the room, threw her onto the big bed, and trapped her in his arms.

Maya looked at the man’s eyes filled with desire and lifted her leg to press against his chest, reminding him, "Take a shower first."

"Maya wants to start from the bathroom," Liam said, then carried her on his shoulder and headed to the bathroom.

Maya knew she couldn’t avoid this situation, so she didn’t struggle and cooperatively went along with him.

After several intense sessions, Maya weakly lay on him, blinking her big eyes and asking, "Can I rest tonight?"

Seeing she wasn’t asleep, Liam knew she was about to engage him in negotiations and discussions.

"Maya has been so good today. I could consider it."

"Third Brother, that...that...can I not attend tonight’s banquet? I’m afraid Grandpa will lecture me again." Lillian had invited her to meet at 9 PM, and the banquet wouldn’t be over by then, and everyone would definitely socialize late into the night, so she used Grandpa as an excuse to decline.

"If you don’t go to the banquet, what will you eat?" Liam lifted her chin, looking directly into her eyes.

He had already guessed she had plans with Lillian, but Liam didn’t expose her and instead pretended to consider her excuse.

"I can order food and eat here in the room, and then wait for you to come back." The more obedient Maya acted, the more guilty she felt.

Liam looked at her pitiful eyes and, after a long gaze, finally relented, saying, "Alright."

When Maya saw that Liam agreed to her request for leave, her eyes widened in surprise; she hadn’t expected him to agree so easily. Instantly excited, she wrapped her arms around Liam’s neck, climbed onto him, gave him a big kiss, and happily said, "Thank you, Third Brother."

Watching the joyful Maya, Liam couldn’t feel happy, he just gently held her in his arms, without saying a word for a long time.

"Third Brother, don’t be upset! I’ll wait for you to come back," Maya, feeling guilty, kept acting cute to win his favor.

In any case, Liam was being quite coquettish today, and her current state matched him well, as long as she could cheer him up.

"Hmm! I must see you when I return to the room." Liam grasped her shoulders, lifting her gently as he looked into her eyes, giving a serious warning.

"I will." Maya solemnly promised.

Everyone has curiosity, and so does Liam with Maya. He wanted to know how she would behave when meeting Lillian and what she would say to him. Even though his approval was risky, he did it anyway; he had to let Maya face Lillian, so she would gradually let go of him.

So at 7 PM, when Liam went to attend the banquet, Maya cheerfully ordered a lot of food and fruits for herself once he left.

At 8:30 PM, she changed out of her pajamas and went out.

When she arrived at the hotel’s beach as Lillian had mentioned, he was already waiting for her.

Due to the cool weather and with the hotel hosting a banquet, there were no other tourists on the beach.

Maya saw Lillian’s silhouette from afar, and a sea breeze made her shiver, her anxiety increasing as she feared Liam might return to the suite at this time, despite the low possibility.

When she reached behind Lillian, she softly called, "Brother Morris."

Lillian stood facing the sea, with his back to Maya. It wasn’t until she called "Brother Morris" that he suddenly turned around, looking her up and down, saying, "I thought you wouldn’t come."

"How could I not?" Maya gave him a sweet smile.

Lillian said, "I heard about your situation from Ella Turner. Maya, you didn’t trust me."

When Ella was mentioned, Maya quickly explained, "Actually, Liam is quite good to me, it’s me who wanted to stir things up. About the pregnancy, Ella must have also told you, it was my mistake, I’m not pregnant." Talking about the child made Maya embarrassed.

"Ha! Liam is good to you; he’s putting on a good show." Lillian didn’t believe what Maya was saying.

A few days ago, Liam was indeed a jerk, but since accompanying Maya for a prenatal checkup, he really became particularly attentive to her, considering her in everything. However, he’d done too many bad things; cleaning up his act wouldn’t be quick. Liam had a long way to go to earn everyone’s trust.

"Although he was indeed acting today, he’s also quite good privately. Maybe, in a while, I might really love him wholeheartedly, so Brother Morris, you don’t have to worry about me. Besides, he promised marriage in front of Grandpa today, and I won’t suffer any grievances." Maya had felt Liam’s kindness a few days ago.

So she continued, "Actually, he quite likes me."

Yet, the more Maya talked about her good life, the more she praised Liam, the more uneasy Lillian felt, believing she wasn’t doing well at all.

Therefore, he said seriously, "Maya, meeting you today is only to tell you, once I finish what I’m doing, I will take you away. You don’t need to tell me how well you are or how good Liam is."

"It’s hard for a leopard to change its spots. I know Liam’s temper, and I don’t believe he can pretend forever. I’m uneasy with you by his side. I must take you away; as for the other issues, there’s no need for you to worry. The Hanson Clan won’t have problems either, trust me."
