Chapter 339: Chapter 337 Maya Carries Me [2nd Update]

He thought to himself, could he be any more extra? Could he be any more shameless? What happened to being an iceberg? How did he turn into a volcano when he met Maya Spencer?

Christopher Scott suggested compensation, and Liam Spencer not only didn’t disagree, he even gleefully said, "Hmm! Great suggestion, the costs should be billed to the Scott Clan Group."

"Brother Three, I’m just joking, joking! Quickly, take your sweetheart for a nap, we’ll also rest, everyone nap!" If the costs were to be taken from the Scott Clan Group, he would never agree!

Maya Spencer saw Christopher Scott’s attempt backfire and snickered to herself, thinking, trying to trick Liam, this jerk, is not that easy.

Liam Spencer looked at the girl who was secretly laughing, took her hand, and headed toward the restaurant’s entrance. As Maya turned around, she sneakily glanced at Lillian Morris, but Liam’s gaze remained on her.

He saw a trace of worry and reluctance in Maya’s eyes, immediately let go of her small hand, put his arm around her shoulder, pinched her cheek, and asked, "Are you full?"

"Mhm!" Maya lifted her head, smiled, and nodded at him.

Maya’s forced smile made Liam uncomfortable. He knew that her thoughts and her heart were with Lillian, and that even her smile was an act of charity because of Lillian.

Despite feeling depressed, Liam tried to control himself, to avoid hurting her again. He didn’t want to see Maya having a breakdown anymore.

In the elevator, Maya bit her lower lip, stood still beside Liam, and didn’t initiate any conversation with him.

Seeing her downcast mood, Liam turned around, lifted his right hand to pinch her chin, and asked, "Are you upset because I didn’t let you play mahjong?"

"No, playing at four or five is fine too."

Liam looked at the girl’s charming face, encircled her small waist with his hands, leaned his head down close to her lips, and asked, "It’s two o’clock now. Do you think by four or five, you can slip away?"

"Hey! Can you give me a day off? You get to have days off from work, I want a break today." Maya announced solemnly.

"When I’m not sleeping with you, you are on a break. I don’t even sleep with you 8 hours a day." Liam wailed shamelessly, his face thicker than a fortress wall.

"Pfft!" Maya was amused by his logic and said, "That’s not how you count time."

When Maya laughed, Liam was overjoyed and pushed her against the elevator wall, sticking closely to her as if he wanted to devour her.

"What are you doing? Can’t you wait for the elevator ride?" Liam’s expression was something Maya was very familiar with.

"Hmm! Can’t wait even a moment," Liam made no secret of his intentions.

"Ding!" At this moment the elevator reached the suite floor, Maya pushed Liam away and dashed out.

Today, she had been feeling heavy-hearted because Lillian’s words ’always waiting for her’ had been troubling her. Up to this moment, she still didn’t know how to face Lillian, nor did she know how to ask Liam for leave, to let her go.

Even with so much on her mind, Maya didn’t dare show it on her face, nor did she dare to go against Liam, so she pretended to be relaxed and played around with him to lower his guard.

In the elevator, Liam watched the girl hastily escape and took steps out, hands in his pockets, he asked seriously, "Maya, do you have a room card?"

Hearing the man’s reminder, Maya bit her lower lip, rolled her eyes hard at herself, raised her right hand, slapped her forehead, and muttered to herself, "Without a room card, what was I running for?"

Then, she turned around, looking at Liam with a grin, "Then you’ll have to walk a bit faster!"

"Are you in such a hurry?" Liam responded with a mischievous smile.

Maya felt like crying without tears, squinting her eyes, she sized him up for a while, and then simply squatted on the floor, propping her chin with her hands, looking at him with unwavering eyes.

She looked at the smile on Liam’s face and couldn’t help but ponder, if she could make him happy this afternoon, perhaps she could ask for leave in the evening to see Lillian and clarify things with Lillian, to make him stop taking risks.

So, Maya overturned her resolution for a day off, instead thinking about how to make Liam happy.

Liam saw the girl squatting on the floor smiling at him and felt something was wrong. She had been gloomy for several days, yet suddenly she was smiling foolishly at him; the intention was too obvious, she was definitely requesting something from him, and it was certainly related to Lillian.

But since she didn’t say it outright, he didn’t expose it either, just squatted down with her, lazily saying, "Maya, Brother Three can’t walk anymore."

After Liam finished speaking, he glanced at the direction of the safety exit behind him.

Maya knew that Liam was teasing her, trying to make her take the initiative to approach him.

She thought her small happiness just now had succeeded in pleasing him, so she immediately stood up from the floor, walked quickly over to him, squatted beside him, and stared at him asking, "You don’t mean to take a nap in the corridor, right?"

"Maya, if you want wilderness camping, this place isn’t quite right!" Liam continued teasing her.

"No I don’t, can’t your impure thoughts wait until we get into the room?" She started signaling Liam, telling him she would follow his lead.

Yet, Liam said, "Can’t walk, carry me."

"Do you want to crush me to death!" Maya snapped, immediately standing up.

"I’ve pressed on you so many times, and you’re doing just fine, aren’t you?" Someone continued being cheeky, unperturbed.

Maya admitted defeat completely, really not wanting to talk to Liam anymore. She felt so tired; today’s Liam was like he was poisoned, constantly spreading poison, and she couldn’t handle it anymore.

To avoid being caught in an awkward situation, she sighed helplessly, patting her own shoulder, "Come on, I’ll carry you." Even if it crushed her, she had to carry him—she still needed to ask for leave later!

Seeing the girl being obedient, Liam stood up unhurriedly, put his hands on her arms, and really let her carry him.

Feeling the weight on her shoulders, Maya gritted her teeth, bent slightly, grabbed his thigh, and actually managed to carry him, staggering forward a few steps.

At the safety exit, Lillian looked at the girl’s petite figure, feeling a pang in his heart, and started walking toward the corridor to rescue Maya.

But Maya hadn’t taken more than two steps before she wilted, and with Liam on her back, she crashed him against the wall, panting heavily, "No way, you’re too heavy, I can’t carry you."

Liam, hearing the girl’s complaint, hugged her tightly from behind, biting her earlobe, said, "So you see, standing while holding you isn’t easy for me either, how are you going to reward me?"

"Are you brain... infested with bugs?! Can’t you talk to me properly?" Liam’s teasing made Maya unable to bear it; she turned, grabbed his collar, and questioned him.

At this time, at the safety exit, Lillian quickly ducked back, not spotted by Maya.

Liam looked at the girl’s furious look, catching a glimpse in the corner of his eye of Lillian who had ducked inside, and without exposing him, he grabbed Maya’s shoulders, spun her around, pinned her against the wall, and kissed her lips unhesitatingly.
