Chapter 1444: Chapter 1444: The Baby Just Born
The next day, Jasmine Yale didn’t expect Lilac Serval to come over.
She was playing with Riceball at the Cheney Residence, patting Riceball’s back with her small hands.
"Riceball, do you miss Little Chale?"
"Woof woof."
"I knew you missed him, Little Chale misses you too."
Right at that moment, Riceball "whooshed" off to the door!
It was only then that Jasmine Yale noticed Lilac Serval had arrived.
"Little Lilac, how come you’re here? Come in and sit down, have you eaten breakfast?" Jasmine greeted her.
She was bored by herself at home, not expecting Lilac Serval to visit, which was good, as she really wanted some company.
"I’ve eaten already," Lilac Serval said.
Early in the morning, Charles Mcintosh had woken her up at her apartment and brought her breakfast from Mundane Peace.
It was a good thing she didn’t bring pet 11 home last night, otherwise, she wouldn’t know how to deal with her temper tantrums early this morning.
Whenever Charles Mcintosh loses his temper, he accuses her of "not acting with dignity", and when he does, she can’t help but retort.
Both of them have explosive tempers, with not even a grain of sand tolerated in their eyes.
If they really started arguing, they could indeed turn the world upside down.
Butler Santana brewed tea for Jasmine Yale and Lilac Serval, who handed over the fruit she bought.
"I saw some oranges for sale on the road and bought some," said Lilac Serval. "I happen to be free today, so I came to chat with you."
Jasmine Yale peeled an orange and handed it to her: "I just happen to be free as well."
"It’s Chale Cheney’s birthday soon, so I asked my master to buy him a gift. I’m not sure if he will like it; it’s a Transformers and Superman model. When in Lonton, Chale liked these things."
"He will like them very much."
Jasmine Yale knows that Chale Cheney is a very polite little chap, and he would like any gift someone gives him.
With so many people celebrating his birthday, he must be happy.
It’s just that, there’s nobody beside him to celebrate...
"Speaking of which, I really miss Chale. I used to dislike children, but after spending some time with Chale, my views on children have changed," she reflected.
"Children are adorable, especially your own babies," Jasmine said with a smile.
Lilac Serval still shook her head: "Giving birth is painful, I’d rather not have kids."
"It’s not painful, the feeling of happiness far outweighs the suffering," Jasmine Yale still reminisces about the time she was pregnant.
Though the baby inside her tummy gave her a hard time, with morning sickness and abdominal pain, she was still happy.
This kind of suffering can hardly be called suffering.
She took it as a joy.
"Little Lilac, you might want to change your mind, try getting close to children, especially newborn babies, you would like them," she suggested.
Lilac Serval shook her head again.
She didn’t entertain the thought, plus, who would she have a child with? She didn’t even want to get married.
"I would not make a good mother," Lilac Serval said lightly.
"How could that be, you take care of Chale so well."
"Chale ... he’s inherently clever, Mr. Cheney taught him well."
No matter what Jasmine Yale said, Lilac Serval expressed little fondness for children.
"Little Lilac, will you go back to Lonton in the future?"
"I will, my master is still there, and I need to look after him. Sometimes when he gets mischievous and refuses to eat, we have to go see him. I used to take care of him before, but now that he has Chale, he doesn’t need me anymore," Lilac Serval said with a laugh.
"He seems like a very kind old man."
"Yes, he’s like a father to me," Lilac Serval said, feeling emotional. "Although he was very strict with me when I was young, and I disliked him for it, now I realize that he is the kindest person to me in this world."
