Chapter 253: Godfall III

Chapter 253: Chapter 253: Godfall III

[3rd POV]

Teleporting just outside of Asgard, Gwen knew that this was going to be a bit more difficult. As just her senses alone were telling her that Odin had been silently preparing for her eventual arrival.

His entire family was on Asgard. Cul, Hela, Loki, Frigga, and Thor. All of them were ready for her arrival, as Odin was fitted in the Destroyer armor, and had the Odinsword within his grip, glimmering with immense power that was capable of ending the universe with its might.

It was nothing in comparison to Celestials, but it was strong.

And it could be a decent enough threat to Gwen, who was looking through the place, nobody even sensing as she effortlessly broke through all the barriers that would normally block someone from looking into the realm.

She noticed that Cul was quite powerful, just as much as Odin. Both of them were glowing with power and energy, both of them prepared for her arrival, working together in order to not lose their entire pantheon.

In this universe, Thor was a bit weaker than his counterpart in her own universe, but he had also committed atrocities for his people. Causing the destruction of entire worlds when they fought, ending the lives of trillions of lives, all because he couldn’t control his own power and battle lust when they fought other Gods.

Gwen was obviously not very fond of him, or any of the Gods in this universe really.

Looking into the Odinsword, Gwen let out a small whistle, finding that it was genuinely quite impressive. The thing was created to fight against higher entities of immense power, like Galactus. It was even meant to fight against Celestials.

Of course it couldn’t, but Odin probably didn’t know that at the moment, as he hadn’t gone against Celestials in a long long time.

The Odinsword was definitely a weapon Gwen would grab for herself, as she imagined that she could combine it or have her symbiote absorb it to strengthen itself. As her symbiote was well beyond any normal symbiote at this point, and was constantly evolving thanks to her own power boosting it further and further.

It didn’t help that she constantly fed it new technology and weapons that strengthened the symbiote to the point that it was likely the strongest symbiote in most universes, besides the all black itself. The weapon made to slaughter Celestials.

A weapon that had slaughtered Celestials.

There was also Mjolnir, which was also quite powerful. Not as strong as the Odinsword in most areas, but it did have potential. It might be better used in the hands of someone in her universe, like maybe a version of Storm?

She’d have to find someone, either way, she looked over the Gods, before stopping for a moment.

’Hmm? Is that...a pocket dimension? Some sort of jail?’ Gwen thought, noticing something rather interesting that Frigga had on her, only to look into the dimension as her eyes widened in surprise at what was inside.

’That...now that...is interesting’ Gwen thought as she saw what was inside.

It was a powerful creature born of hatred and death. Of the atrocities of old that Odin had committed. Born from the death of a billion billion beings, a being that was essentially a spirit born of all the hatred felt towards the Asgardians.

Mangog, it was Mangog.

Now Mangog...was IMMENSELY powerful. To the point that he was easily more powerful than Thor in physical strength, to the point that it could casually overwhelm him. He was able to absorb the hatred and vengeance of other entities in order to strengthen himself.

He was also durable enough to shrug off blows and strikes that could obliterate stars, and was so strong that even Odin was threatened by him.

And it seemed they had trapped him, using him as some sort of...weapon. A weapon that was now boosted by the hatred of a lot more entities than usual, even more so than the 616 version. As this was a universe where most of the universe despised the Gods, thanks to the war that was happening all over the universe.

Meaning this Mangog was...VERY powerful.

’...I definitely have to absorb that’ Gwen thought, understanding that this creature...it would be a huge boon to her power, and would grant her a new ability that would make her even stronger.

And considering she could become the God of Emotions, that could combine with the ability to Mangog to become truly ridiculous. Hell, she was already the God of Wrath, so that should already mesh very well with Mangog.

She wondered if Mangog would even attack her, considering she was the one that was wiping out the Gods, basically the same thing that Mangog wished to do. And even though Mangog was powerful, she was still likely stronger. At least, physically she was definitely still stronger.

She wasn’t even sure how much she could lift now a days, but she was certain she could casually lift the weight of stars and well beyond, and should be able to lift the weight of an entire universe if she wanted.

She hadn’t really tested it in a long time, so she planned on finding something to test it with soon. She expected that DC had something for that, and she wanted to head back there for a little while, as there were things there that would be helpful to her.

That and she hadn’t seen her Dad and Brother in...a long time. And she felt bad, that, and she knew her dad was going to be pissed at her.

The main thing in DC that she wanted to do, was to go after a rather annoying entity that her girlfriend is the daughter of, and an entity that was better off dead.

Trigon. She wanted to hunt Trigon.

He was weaker than Dormammu is, and was a good target. He would grant her immense power (enough to contend against certain entities in DC) and would boost certain traits that she had.

There was that, as well as a handful of other entities there that she at least wanted to meet. Like the personification of the different emotions on the emotional spectrum. And the biggest and most important thing for her, was that she wanted to connect deeper into the Speedforce, as it was one of the most important parts of Project Rebirth.

If she could move as fast as Wally West from the mainline universe, then she would be able to move so fast that Knull might not even be able to react to her blows.

Afterall, Wally at his peak could move so fast that he broke the laws of the universe. Going faster than the speed force itself, which made no sense, but that was simply how fast he was at his peak. Outrunning death was another of his insane feats.

With her contemplation and thoughts finished, Gwen decided it was time to finish her quest in this universe, and that was going to be through the Asgardians, as she ripped into Asgard, appearing across from Odin and the Gods of Asgard, one thought on her mind as she prepared herself.

’...Let’s finish this’

That’s the end of the Chapter!

Just a short Chapter of her planning and stuff like that.

So if you can’t tell, the next arc is going to be DC for a little while, as she hasn’t seen her family in a long time, and she needs to get some things there. That arc will last around 5-10 Chapters, before it’s back to Marvel.

There’s around 50 Chapters left if that, and then we’ll be done.

Anyways, have a good day!
