"Ruff ruff!"
I had been in the middle of gathering herbs when I suddenly heard this sound coming from the distance.
When I used the Mana Vision to see what it was, I was surprised...
It was a cute little dog that was running in the middle of the forest.
However, it didn’t seem like this cute little dog was in the best of shape since it was bleeding from the shoulder and it was limping while it was running. Though it was in this condition, this cute little dog didn’t stop for a single second.
That was because there were goblins that were chasing it.
With the blood that dripped from the weapons of the goblins, it was clear what was happening
At the same time, the amount of blood that came from the weapons of the goblins wasn’t proportional to the wounds that the cute little dog had on its body.
It was clear that there were more of these things that had been attacked by the goblins.
Of course, there wouldn’t just be a cute little dog in the middle of this forest.
This forest was known as the Avon Forest, it was a place that was famous for the number of monsters that were here. Because of this, it was even recognized as a danger spot by the different races of the continent.
Only when one was prepared for death would they come to a place like this.
So there was no way that there would be a cute little dog running through this forest.
Unless that cute little dog was also a monster.
The race that this cute little dog belonged to was the kobold race.
They were a race of humanoid dog like creatures, which was why they could be mistaken for a cute little dog when they were running on all fours like this.
Even though it was clear that the goblins were bullying the kobold, it wasn’t as if I had a reason to help...
"Its fur is soft and fluffy..."
I couldn’t help saying to myself as I watched the kobold run.
In the end, I suddenly changed forms with a single bounce in that direction.
I didn’t land on the ground as I suddenly changed into the form of a bat that flew after the kobold and goblins.
With a secret sigh, I thought, "I’ll just treat this as my good deed of the day."
Since I was flying, it didn’t take me long to arrive where the kobold was running away from the goblins.
From above, I could see the situation even more clearly.
The goblins weren’t even chasing after the kobold properly, they were treating this as if it was some kind of game. After all, they far outnumbered the kobold and it would have been easy for them to send some of them forward to surround it.
However, this wasn’t what the goblins did as they continued chasing after the kobold in a group like this.
If they weren’t messing with the kobold, then it was hard to justify what they were doing.
Since they were messing around with the kobold, then I guess I should do something to mess with them as well.
Goblins weren’t anything good, so it wasn’t as if there was a reason to be kind to them.
Watching from above actually gave me the perfect angle for what I wanted to do.
Since I had this opportunity, this was the perfect chance to test something.
"Ugh."
That was all that the goblin could say before it was shot down to the ground.
When this happened, the other goblins couldn’t help stop and look around to see what was happening. But no matter how they looked around the area, they didn’t find a single thing.
They had no idea how one of them had suddenly ended up with a hole in their chest.
"Ugh."
Before any of them could react, there was another hole punched in the chest of another goblin.
Even though it happened in front of their eyes, they just couldn’t figure out how it had been done.
But the fact that it had happened scared the goblins and they all scattered to hide behind the trees. They thought that if they hid behind something, they would be able to stop the one shooting them.
Only that didn’t actually work.
"Ugh."
There was another goblin that was shot and it came from the opposite direction of the tree.
It seemed like the thing that had been shooting them was moving around and changing its angle with each shot.
Finally, the goblins couldn’t take it anymore and a few of them started running away.
However, they were immediately shot down when they tried to run away.
It seemed that only those that tried to run would be shot down by their attackers.
Once the goblins realized this, they couldn’t help feeling fear.
After all, they knew that what they had done to the kobold was now happening to them.
"Skree, kree!" The goblins shouted into the air as if they were talking to whoever was shooting them.
But all that happened was that another goblin was shot in the chest.
The goblins just had no idea what was happening, but at the very least they had been able to find where the shots were coming from.
However, looking into the sky didn’t allow them to find anything.
In the end, all of the goblins were shot down by this invisible shooter.
"Not bad, the range and power is good. Especially since it’s an acid shot, so it burns right through the things that I shoot." I said as I looked at the goblins that I had shot down.
Since the goblins had been taken care of, there was no reason for me to stay here any longer.
"Please help me! I promise that I’ll give you anything as long as you help my tribe!"
This was what the kobold suddenly shouted into the air as I was about to leave.
