Chapter 14 The Tyrant Appears

Bai Ye paused for a moment, then a smile curved his lips. It seemed he hadn't arrived late, but rather, just in time?

As he mused, Bai Ye quickly stepped over the corpses of the Lickers and moved forward. Reaching the end, he saw an old-fashioned elevator, but it was long gone, with only a few iron cables hanging there.

Without hesitation, Bai Ye slid down the cables and then lowered his stance, peeking outside.

It was a space similar to the upper level, but instead of glass jars, there were large, rectangular metal containers, each over three meters tall. Black tubes were connected to the sides of these containers, linking them to unknown instruments.

"Is this where Tyrants are made?"

Bai Ye's question was soon answered.

A loud bang suddenly echoed, followed by a figure crashing against a metal container, making a tremendous noise.

The person appeared to be around twenty-five or twenty-six years old, dressed in a red and black robe, with long hair tied up by a feathered crown. Two flying swords, one red and one black, hovered beside him!

This was clearly someone from a cultivation world.

While flying swords could be obtained in the World Battlefield, with the World Battlefield having only recently opened, only people from cultivation worlds would possess flying swords.

Moreover, this person's attire looked exactly like a Kunlun disciple he had encountered before.

At the same time...

The ground around them began to tremble, and a colossal figure came charging.

It was a giant zombie, nearly three meters tall. Its body was severely decayed, its back completely turned to rotting flesh, and some parts were pockmarked. There was a large hole in its chest, with a mass of rotting flesh bulging outwards, revealing its entire heart. One could even clearly see the heart wriggling.

Simultaneously, one of the zombie's arms had mutated completely, almost two-thirds the length of its body. Its hand had turned into a mass of rotten flesh, with claws like sharp talons, glinting with a metallic sheen.

Tyrant Prototype T-001!

Bai Ye's eyes lit up. He had finally found this guy!

At the same time...

The Tyrant charged towards the Kunlun disciple who had been thrown against the metal cabinet. Raising its massive claw, it was about to strike down.

Just as the Kunlun disciple's head was about to be split open, a red whip suddenly attacked from behind, coiling around the Tyrant's arm.

"Junior Brother Mo, run!"

A clear female voice rang out, followed by a flash of sword light. A flying sword pierced the Tyrant's back.

Bai Ye poked his head out a bit further, following the sound to the side. He then realized that there wasn't just one Kunlun disciple, but three.

On the other side, there were two more Kunlun disciples, a man and a woman.

The woman held a red whip, while the other man commanded a silver flying sword.

The next moment, the Tyrant let out an enraged roar. With a bellow, it directly dragged the whip, attempting to pull the woman towards it.

But in that instant...

The man who had been knocked against the metal cabinet gritted his teeth and shouted, "Hong Que, Hei Ya, kill!"

The red and black flying swords suddenly shot forward.

The Tyrant raised its hand and deflected the black flying sword, but...

*Pfft!*

The red flying sword bypassed its arm and directly pierced the Tyrant's left eye, drawing a smear of dark blood.

The Tyrant let out a pained howl and began flailing its arms.

The three Kunlun disciples immediately leaped in different directions, creating distance from the Tyrant.

Then...

With a creak, the Tyrant's claw swept across a nearby metal cabinet, slicing through it with ease.

"Junior Brother Mo, you go right. Junior Brother Yang, you go right. I'll cover your attacks."

"Understood, Senior Sister Lan!"

The woman seemed to be the leader. Upon receiving the orders, the two men spread out to the left and right, flanking the Tyrant.

"Kunlun Spirit Arts..."

"Sword Heart Communion..."

The two simultaneously formed sword seals with their hands and pointed forward. The flying swords hovering beside them darted forward.

Red, black, and silver – three streaks of sword light crisscrossed around the Tyrant's body, leaving wound after wound. Dark blood splattered onto the ground.

Bai Ye shook his head. "That's not how you kill a Tyrant. You have to aim for the heart!"

Unlike ordinary zombies, whose weak point was their head, the Tyrant's weak point was the large, exposed heart in its chest.

Therefore, even though the flying swords were powerful, if they didn't pierce the heart, no amount of wounds would be effective against the Tyrant.

However...

"The people from the cultivation world are indeed strong."

Generally, when the World Battlefield just opened, most of the chosen ones could only scavenge for "junk" in ordinary areas to arm themselves gradually. Those from worlds already filled with combat or war-torn worlds could venture into dangerous areas.

As for forbidden zones, they were unthinkable; they usually meant certain death.

But these three Kunlun disciples from the cultivation world had not only fought their way to the deepest part, but they also seemed to have a high probability of defeating the Tyrant.

Bai Ye could only say that the fundamental combat capabilities of different worlds were indeed unfair. When first entering the World Battlefield, the chosen ones from cultivation worlds had a huge advantage.

So...

Bai Ye licked his lips. Should he do something now?

Bai Ye had no intention of handing over the Tyrant. However, the current situation was a bit troublesome for him.

The best way to deal with people from the cultivation world was to prevent them from performing their sword arts and spells. But these three had already unleashed them, and facing three opponents at once, Bai Ye couldn't suppress them all simultaneously.

Besides, the Tyrant was also a dangerous factor.

"Well then, let's stick to the old rule!" Bai Ye grinned. "When in doubt, draw once!"

With a thought, Bai Ye casually waved his hand to the side. A ripple appeared in the air, and a giant gacha machine materialized beside him.

The gacha machine could be used three times every 24 hours. Bai Ye had only used two gachas so far, leaving him with one last chance.

"May the Gacha Machine God bless me with a gold capsule, or at least a red one!"

Bai Ye mumbled as he grabbed a capsule from the machine, then looked at it with disdain.

It was a green capsule!

The higher the grade of the capsule, the better the contents. Green capsules were only the second-to-last tier.

However, when Bai Ye opened the capsule, his eyes instantly lit up!

This thing was perfect for the current situation.
