Although she didn’t resist, Lin Lan still reminded Luo Ziling, “Aren’t you afraid of our affair getting out?”
“I’m just teasing you a bit, do you think I want to have a grand battle with you?” Luo Ziling said, playfully pinching Lin Lan’s most sensitive spot.
Lin Lan couldn’t help but yelp, her body suddenly going weak.
But she immediately got angry, and despite not wearing much, she kicked towards Luo Ziling.
However, Luo Ziling quickly wrapped his arms around her waist and pinched at it, leaving Lin Lan powerless.
Luo Ziling didn’t do anything excessive and simply laid Lin Lan on the bed, then began checking her injuries.
Lin Lan actually hoped Luo Ziling would tease her a bit more, but she had strong emotional control. When Luo Ziling stopped, she calmed down. Having received Luo Ziling’s treatment multiple times, Lin Lan knew how to cooperate.

Luo Ziling smiled as he helped her dress and carried her to the bathroom to wash her face and tidy up.
“Do you feel any better after today’s treatment?” Luo Ziling asked Lin Lan.
“Much more comfortable, just a bit sleepy, really want to sleep.”
“Actually, you could have a good sleep, it’d be more effective.”
“I’ll rest later, after you guys leave.” Lin Lan shook her head, declining Luo Ziling’s kindness.
Luo Xusheng is still here, so naturally, she couldn’t avoid seeing him.
Even though she had repeatedly reminded Luo Ziling that she couldn’t marry him, when facing Ling Ruonan and Luo Xusheng, two of Luo Ziling’s elders, Lin Lan couldn’t help feeling nervous and assumed a special identity.
She felt she should face them in the manner of a daughter-in-law, and she must see off Luo Xusheng when he leaves today.
Of course, Luo Ziling couldn’t know Lin Lan’s thoughts at this moment. Seeing she didn’t want to rest and wanted to join in meeting Luo Xusheng, he had to agree.
When they arrived at the small building where Li Haiyang stayed, the conversation between Li Haiyang and Luo Xusheng hadn’t finished, but Phoenix was no longer there. She had left the sanatorium twenty minutes ago, returning to the base.
As the conversation between Luo Xusheng and Li Haiyang continued, Luo Ziling and Lin Lan strolled around the yard.
“Is this action completely over?” Luo Ziling casually asked Lin Lan, “Have all tasks been completed?”
“Temporarily completed, but there will definitely be follow-up actions,” Lin Lan hesitated a little, then shook her head, “There are some things I don’t know well and can’t say much. I won’t participate in the next actions either.”
“Alright, I won’t probe,” Luo Ziling recalled when Lin Lan got injured, he had rushed to Tokyo to treat her, and shouted at Phoenix.
At the time, he blamed Phoenix for always getting Lin Lan injured.
That was, of course, an impulsive thing to say, but no matter what, Luo Ziling didn’t want Lin Lan to get injured again.

But he still told her about it himself.
After hearing what Luo Ziling had said about this, Lin Lan was slightly surprised and then deeply moved.
But she still explained a bit for Phoenix: “You can’t blame her for this; the main reason is my condition hasn’t recovered to its peak. If I had recovered, I might not have gotten injured. Also, during missions, any accident can happen, so everyone’s risks are about the same, you shouldn’t blame others.”
“After so much, have you thought about retiring? I’m asking about now!” Luo Ziling couldn’t help but ask this question again.
Lin Lan looked at Luo Ziling with some surprise and eventually bowed her head with a bewildered face.
After thinking for a moment, she shook her head, “I haven’t thought about it for now. I feel I should stay in Dragon Rise for a few more years, my responsibilities aren’t fully completed. If I left now, I wouldn’t be at peace, unless I have to leave due to injury, disability, or sacrifice, otherwise, I won’t leave now.”
“Alright,” Luo Ziling didn’t say much more, unsure of what to say.
As they continued chatting and strolling, Li Haiyang and Luo Xusheng finally finished talking.
Li Haiyang personally saw Luo Xusheng out; once he emerged, Luo Ziling and Lin Lan rushed forward to greet him.
Luo Xusheng and Li Haiyang didn’t exchange military salutes, instead, they shook hands and waved goodbye.
“Elder, we’re leaving first, I’ll come in a couple of days to help with your treatment,” Luo Ziling also bid farewell to Li Haiyang.
Li Haiyang didn’t say much, just mentioned that Luo Ziling could arrange at his convenience.
Lin Lan saw them off to where they parked.
“We’re leaving now, I’ll come back in a couple of days to help with the treatment,” Luo Ziling smiled at Lin Lan as he got in the car.
Luo Xusheng glanced at Lin Lan, then at Luo Ziling, who was smiling like a blooming flower, ultimately saying nothing.
Luo Xusheng said nothing, his gaze on her was still gentle, and Lin Lan breathed a sigh of relief.
“Dad, even though I know I shouldn’t ask, I’m still curious about what you and Li Haiyang discussed?”
“If you know you shouldn’t ask, then don’t ask,” Luo Xusheng replied dully.
Luo Ziling had to keep quiet.
Feeling very annoyed, he had the urge to punch Luo Xusheng.
After a moment of silence, Luo Xusheng counter-questioned Luo Ziling: “What’s going on between you and that Dragon Rise warrior nicknamed Peacock?”
“It’s nothing,” Luo Ziling didn’t want to elaborate on his relationship with Lin Lan, given that he hadn’t interacted much with Luo Xusheng and wasn’t close enough to discuss such matters, plus he didn’t know how to explain things with Lin Lan, “I’m just helping her with her injuries.”
Luo Xusheng was clearly unsatisfied with Luo Ziling’s response, but eventually reminded him, “Don’t get into any troublesome situations.”
“I know.”
So, Luo Xusheng didn’t ask anything more.
“I have things to do this afternoon and tomorrow. Tomorrow night, I’ll return to Jinling,” after detailing his plans, Luo Xusheng added, “If there’s no time to get in contact with you, just don’t bother about me.”
“Aren’t you going to see my mom?”
Luo Xusheng hesitated for a moment, then shook his head, “If there’s no time, then I won’t.”
Luo Ziling sighed but didn’t dwell on it.
Having a father like this is truly a sorrow.
