Chapter 1781: Chapter 1781: A Bad Feeling
When they left the Dragon Rise Sanatorium, it was almost noon.
But Luo Xusheng and Luo Ziling didn’t have lunch together. After they left the sanatorium, they parted ways to handle their own affairs.
Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun followed Luo Xusheng, which made Luo Ziling feel a bit of crisis.
He wasn’t worried about his own safety but felt that Luo Xusheng, taking Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun, was going to do something shady and significant.
Whatever shady things it was, it should be related to the incident of them being followed today.
Luo Xusheng didn’t let Luo Ziling interfere with this matter; he dealt with it personally. Luo Ziling didn’t press him to let him participate. It’s better to avoid trouble, so after parting with Luo Xusheng, he returned to school for class.
Recently, Luo Ziling barely had time for classes, which made him feel quite guilty as a student.
After becoming famous, Luo Ziling felt he needed to be perfect and not give others a chance to criticize him.
When Luo Ziling returned to school, it was just in time for lunch.
Although he had disguised himself, he was still recognized.
It was naturally those few close friends who recognized him.
Cao Jianhui, Li Fuming, and Wu Longjiang, on their way to the cafeteria, spotted Luo Ziling wearing glasses and a hat. After observing him closely a few times, they recognized him and wrapped their arms around him as they headed to the cafeteria.
This naturally drew the attention of others, turning Luo Ziling into the object of curiosity for many students.
Even though Cao Jianhui, Li Fuming, and Wu Longjiang protected him, Luo Ziling was still quite embarrassed.
It was finally Luo Yuqing who, upon hearing the commotion, came to the rescue.
Luo Yuqing, being the student council president with high prestige and importantly, quite beautiful, managed to drive away the female admirers of Luo Ziling.
Other male students also dared not offend the goddess, allowing Luo Ziling to escape the awkward situation of being watched by countless people.
“How am I supposed to attend school in the future?” Luo Ziling said with distress while having lunch face to face with Luo Yuqing, “I can’t move around freely at all.”
“This is indeed a headache,” Luo Yuqing said thoughtfully as she ate elegantly, “Perhaps you could post a statement on the campus forum asking everyone not to do so. The student council can also issue a notice asking everyone to respect you; you are still a student at Yan University. Everyone coming to watch not only disrupts order but also affects your and others’ studies and lives.”
“It’s worth a try,” Luo Ziling agreed but added somewhat gloomily, “But I don’t have a username registered on the campus forum!”
“Let me handle it,” Luo Yuqing volunteered, “I’ll take care of this matter properly. Of course, I need your cooperation. The school plans to hold a special symposium for you; you could talk about traditional medicine. Prepare for that and mention this issue, asking everyone to respect your freedom on campus.”
“When will this meeting be held?” Last time Wu Mingyun mentioned it, but Luo Ziling didn’t know how the school arranged it.
“Probably next weekend; there’s a week to prepare,” Luo Yuqing said in a low voice, “Today is Sunday. The school should notify you by tomorrow.”
“Alright,” Luo Ziling didn’t say much more.
He realized today was Sunday, a day without classes.
He returned to school intending to attend classes.
If this were to be told, it would likely be scorned by many—wits questionable!
Cao Jianhui and others didn’t disturb Luo Ziling and Luo Yuqing’s discussion. They sensibly sat on the side. In Luo Yuqing’s presence, they felt quite inferior and still didn’t dare to get too close after all this time.
The sensibility of Cao Jianhui and others pleased Luo Yuqing.
After chatting with Luo Ziling for a while, she actively started a conversation with them.
“Graduation season is approaching, and some student council staff will leave. If you are interested, you can seize the opportunity,” Luo Yuqing smilingly shared good news with the three, “I think following Ziling, you must’ve learned some interpersonal skills. You should be able to manage student council work well. You should try!”
Instantly, her words excited the three guys as if they were on a shot of adrenaline. Naturally, they took Luo Yuqing’s words as a private favor, sure they could get into the student council if they participated in the election.
Seeing them almost dance with excitement, Luo Ziling quickly threw a cold splash of water: “Everything depends on capability. Only those with ability have a chance. I think you guys are still too green.”
This comment immediately sobered Cao Jianhui, Li Fuming, and Wu Longjiang from their fervor.
Watching the trio’s reactions, Luo Ziling felt quite satisfied and laughed heartily at them.
After finishing lunch, Luo Ziling and Luo Yuqing left school together.
“Why are you at school today?” Luo Ziling asked Luo Yuqing curiously, “Being at school on a weekend seems a bit out of character for you.”
“Every weekend I used to be at school. It’s just recently, being with you more often means more happenings, so I’m not at school as much. As student council president, do you think I have that much free time at my disposal?” Luo Yuqing glared at Luo Ziling, saying somewhat begrudgingly, “Unlike you, free and easy most of the time. By the way, weren’t you going to do something with Dad? Where is he?”
“He had something else to attend to. We separated after finishing our matter,” Luo Ziling didn’t explain further, “Do you have anything to do this afternoon? If not, accompany me to meet a little devil!”
“A little devil? Who? Ishihara Naka?”
“No,” Luo Ziling shook his head, “A guy named Koizumi Miyaning. You know him, right?”
“Oh, I know, the son of the Governor of Tokyo, whom you previously cooperated with during your visit to Japan,” Luo Yuqing realized suddenly, “Did he come to Huaxia to find you?”
“I don’t know what he wants with me. He came this morning, but I kind of don’t want to meet him.”
“If you don’t want to meet him, why drag me along?”
“To use beauty to our advantage!”
As a result, Luo Yuqing immediately kicked him: “Annoying! How can you use your own sister to charm someone?”
“Do you speak Japanese?” Luo Ziling dodged and then asked with a smile, “If not, I need to bring someone who does.”
“I know a bit, but not enough for regular translation.”
“Then I guess I’ll have to find someone else,” Luo Ziling thought of Wuyue, who was by Ling Ruonan’s side, “I’ll go call Sister Wuyue. I have some things to discuss with her anyway.”
“Alright,” Luo Yuqing agreed as well, “I’ll go boost your courage, just in case someone strong-arms you!”
“Do you have to say it like that?” Luo Ziling felt dissatisfied, “Who could strong-arm me?”
“Hehe,” Luo Yuqing suddenly changed the topic and abruptly asked Luo Ziling, “Is there some affair between you and Sister Wuyue? Confess honestly, no hiding. I know everything!”
Upon hearing Luo Yuqing say this, Luo Ziling was momentarily stunned, with an ominous feeling rising in his chest.
Could it be that Wuyue told Luo Yuqing something she shouldn’t have?
