"Robots."
Lin Yu, intrigued, got up and walked towards the two robots.
"These are robots? They look quite advanced. I haven't heard of the research center developing anything like this?"
Lin Yu reached out and touched the robot's skin. "The texture is quite soft, though the appearance is a bit too futuristic."
These robots were all designed according to the aesthetic of the Xenaar people, truly beyond human imagination.
"No, these are aliens, designed by people like Bona."
"They're willing to give us these?"
Lin Yu circled both robots, his hands occasionally touching them.
Fortunately, without Lu Heng's command, and Lu Heng not conversing with them, they remained stationary.
Of course, seeing the bodies of the Xenaar people earlier seemed to be an accident.
He wasn't sure if it had triggered some programmed setting.
"They weren't given to us."
"You didn't happen to bring them back, did you? Isn't that unsafe?"
Lin Yu's first thought was that robots created by these high-intelligence alien beings might attack other species.
"Probably not for now. I've contracted them, and they weren't stolen from Bona."
"Oh, as long as there's no danger, that's good."
"Bona only had two robots, and one of them was a broken one I threw in. They repaired it later."
Lin Yu seemed to finally understand Lu Heng's words and turned to him in surprise.
"You didn't get them from that place where you found the advanced civilization items? Is that place also related to Bona and his people?"
"Well, that's a long story."
Lu Heng recounted to Lin Yu about the advanced civilization site he found in his space, and how, when he coincidentally went to Luocheng, he discovered that the world in his space also had connections with Bona.
"I didn't tell Bona and his people too much. They still don't know where I found that broken robot."
"That's good. If we told them, with our current technological level, we wouldn't be able to suppress them. It would be troublesome if they forced you to take them there."
"Yes, I've also considered that. We can't tell Bona and his people everything; some things must be kept confidential. However, they weren't overly curious about me finding an alien robot."
"Perhaps not. Maybe they also have some reservations or things they need to hide."
"Maybe. I'm not showing you these just for you to look at."
Lu Heng waved his hand, producing two more robots.
"These two are for you. Activate them later, and they will consider the first creature they scan as their master."
Lu Heng pointed to the larger one. "This is a combat type. Take it with you; it will provide some self-protection ability."
He then pointed to the other. "This one is a nanny type. You can converse with it to practice alien languages. They are all voice-activated."
"Right."
Lin Yu grinned happily. Lu Heng had given him two more treasures; it was great.
"Don't get too happy yet. First, see if you can put them into your storage ring before contracting them."
Although these robots were inanimate, mechanical products, Lu Heng wasn't sure if they could be placed in a storage ring.
If they couldn't be stored, Lin Yu wouldn't be able to take these two robots with him. The robots' appearance was too unique, and there was a possibility of them being discovered by Bona and his people. Lu Heng felt it was better to bring out fewer Xenaar items.
"Oh, okay, I'll try."
Lin Yu nodded eagerly and then waved his hand towards the two robots Lu Heng had indicated.
Fortunately, they could be stored.
Taking the robots out again, with Lu Heng's help, Lin Yu contracted both robots.
"Don't take them out unless necessary. Also, they have unstable factors. I have another robot in my hand that has undergone some changes. For some reason, it has developed creativity and even emotions."
"Moreover, that robot has killed quite a few Xenaar people, and I don't know if its owner is still inside."
"This... then I won't use them for now." Lin Yu quickly put the robots away. He felt he would at most use the nanny robot to practice speaking. As for the combat model, Lin Yu genuinely felt it had little practical use, at least not for him at the moment.
"Did you see, on their chests..."
Seeing Lin Yu put the robots away so quickly without even trying them out, Lu Heng found it somewhat amusing. He then pointed to his own nanny robot and continued to demonstrate to Lin Yu some methods he knew for forcibly shutting them down. He also taught Lin Yu the pause command that Bora had given him.
"Yes, I'll try to use them less. With my current strength, I'm not in any danger in the apocalypse."
Lin Yu took note of everything Lu Heng had instructed, scratched his head, and said somewhat smugly.
"Yes, with your current abilities, you don't need them. However, I think we will still need to rely on alien technology to develop Blue Star's technology as well."
After that, Lu Heng also showed Lin Yu the alien medical equipment.
"I'll take these to Chen Dong and the others to study later."
If these instruments could be used directly by humans, human lifespans would be greatly increased. Even if they couldn't be used directly, Lu Heng felt that improved versions would likely be manufactured by humans soon. In fact, humans are quite intelligent creatures; otherwise, they wouldn't stand at the top of the food chain on this vast Blue Star, always above other creatures. However, influenced by some objective factors, human lifespans are too short to research overly advanced technology.
"Brother Lu, if this treatment device is truly developed, the chance of humans dying will be much smaller. Now that we've evolved into ability users, our physical strength has already improved. If we also have these, we..."
Lin Yu was somewhat excited. He thought about the future of humanity and couldn't continue speaking for a moment.
"Yes, our lifespans are indeed much shorter compared to aliens like Bona."
Bona and his people have lifespans of 1500 years. Compared to the average human age of around 70, humans are truly too fragile. If human lifespans were increased, and with the advanced technological items Lu Heng obtained as a foundation for development, human technology would surely reach the level of aliens like Bona.
