Liu Nanfeng surveyed the surroundings. It was a small room, antique in style, entirely made of wood. He couldn't tell what kind of wood it was, as it hadn't rotted or been infested with insects over the years. A faint, fresh scent still lingered in his nostrils.
The outermost room appeared to be a reception area, with a rattan chair against one wall and two chairs beside it.
On the table sat a tea set. The teapot was covered in dust, while the teacups were inverted, faring slightly better.
In the corner to the right, some farming tools were placed. Other than that, there was nothing else.
Liu Nanfeng walked from the left-side door into the house. Behind this room was a spacious area akin to an inner chamber. However, this one was more furnished, with a table and a display cabinet. The shelves were all empty, except for the very bottom, which held a clay figurine. It was misshapen, and it was impossible to tell what it was meant to be.
On both the left and right sides were side rooms. Peering through the wooden window frames, the room on the right was clearly Zhu Yin'e's bedroom, as the furnishings were more ornate.
Liu Nanfeng pushed the door open and stepped inside. Besides the bed and a dressing table, there was also a beautiful screen. A few potted plants sat by the window along the outer wall, but they were overgrown with weeds. Beside them were a few small ceramic ornaments.
Liu Nanfeng stared blankly at the room's furnishings, then sighed after a while. He reached out and gently waved his hand, and the tightly shut window opened, allowing sunlight to stream in.
However, Liu Nanfeng did not linger. He walked out through the back door. The back door led to a rudimentary kitchen, entirely constructed of bamboo. One corner had already collapsed, and it was overgrown with weeds.
There was also an ancient well. The well cover was covered in green moss, and a grasshopper fell into it, only to jump out again quickly.
He could hear the sound of the wind whistling through the treetops, his nostrils filled with the scent of fresh grass, and the sunlight felt warm on his skin.
Liu Nanfeng enjoyed this sense of tranquility, but just then, a series of grunts and shouts shattered the peace.
Liu Nanfeng turned and walked back into the house, passed through the inner chamber, and arrived at the reception area, standing by the door.
He saw Little Carp holding a tree branch, slashing it wildly, cutting grass with great force, sending clippings all over her.
But she paid no mind, lost in her own world, imagining herself to be an incredibly powerful swordsman, with all the plants before her as her enemies.
With each swing of her "sword," she decapitated the opponent, leaving a bare stump.
"Hmph, hmph-ha..."
Since activating the Kunpeng gene, Little Carp possessed immense strength. Even though she was merely swinging a peach branch erratically, it still produced a whistling sound as it cut through the air.
With such power, not only wild grass but also many thorny bushes couldn't withstand her strikes. Fortunately, the area in front of the door was clear and not planted with peach trees. Otherwise, Liu Nanfeng suspected she might even knock over a peach tree.
However, despite her wild flailing clearing the weeds in front of the door, it looked as uneven as a dog's chew, jagged and unkempt.
A glint of gold flashed in Liu Nanfeng's eyes. He extended his hand into the air, and strands of energy spread outwards. Wherever they passed, the stubborn weeds immediately lost their vitality, withered, and died.
This was the power of analysis. While it couldn't directly increase Liu Nanfeng's strength, it allowed him to better understand and utilize all things in the world.
He had merely disrupted a small detail within the information of these weeds, and they withered and died rapidly.
There's a saying that wild grass cannot be burned to death; it will grow again with the spring breeze. But with the destruction caused by Liu Nanfeng, no amount of wind would allow for regeneration.
Little Carp, lost in her fantasy of being a master, swung the branch one last time. Unbalanced, she almost fell, finally coming to her senses. All the plants around her had withered. She looked around in surprise, then noticed Liu Nanfeng standing at the door, watching her.
"Did you do this?"
Holding her "sword" in one hand and hands on her hips, she questioned him aggressively.
"Yes, what about it?"
"How can you steal my big bad guys? You're a big bad guy too." Little Carp said indignantly.
"Oh really?" Liu Nanfeng smiled faintly.
Little Carp was startled for a moment. She crossed her arms over her chest and said, quite wisely, "I misspoke. You're a big good guy, a very, very good guy."
"I think you're just being mischievous."
Liu Nanfeng instantly appeared beside her, grabbed her by her clothes, and lifted her up. Little Carp kicked her feet in the air, wriggling.
"Look, you've gotten yourself all dirty."
Liu Nanfeng shook her, (This chapter is not finished!)

shaking off all the grass clippings from her body.
Although Liu Nanfeng's movements were rough, Little Carp wasn't harmed at all, as she was no ordinary child.
She even exclaimed excitedly, "Again, again, don't stop!"
"With all these spirits, come inside and help me clean," Liu Nanfeng said, taking her small hand.
"Okay."
Little Carp didn't refuse. To her, any form of activity was a game.
Little Carp entered the house, looking left and right, then tugging at her cheeks, curiously observing her surroundings.
"What's wrong?" Liu Nanfeng asked, a little puzzled.
"I think I've been here before," Little Carp said, confused.
"Of course, you have. Didn't I tell you before? Your mother brought you here, and she said you loved the peach blossoms outside."
"Peach blossoms?"
Little Carp looked back outside and asked curiously, "Where did the peach blossoms go?"
"Silly girl, what kind of eyes do you have? Peach blossoms naturally wither and bear fruit. Surely I wouldn't hide them, would I?"
"Hehehe... maybe you did."
Little Carp put her hands on her hips, puffed out her chest, and tilted her head up proudly.
This little one was truly a joy. Being with her, Liu Nanfeng felt his mood lift considerably.
"Alright, let's start working."
Liu Nanfeng waved his hand, summoning Guanshan, and took out some cleaning tools.
"Watch me!"
Little Carp picked up a rag and prepared to show off her skills.
However, soon she began to spit, spitting out mouthfuls. The flying dust made her face and clothes dirty.
"Can't you spray water? You can do it now," Liu Nanfeng teased with a smile.
To his surprise, Little Carp actually opened her mouth and sprayed out a large cloud of mist. It was quite effective, and the dust settled down.
"Oh wow, am I this amazing?" Little Carp exclaimed, delighted with herself.
"Hurry up and get to work!" Liu Nanfeng said, tapping her little head.
With her ability to spray water, the tables and chairs were indeed easy to wipe, but the floor was problematic. The dust couldn't be swept up. However, the floor was paved with thick bluestone, which could be mopped.
But the water supply was small. So he thought of the ancient well in the afternoon.
He picked up a bucket and headed to the backyard.
Little Carp, curious, quickly followed behind. As they entered the inner chamber, she immediately spotted the peculiar clay figurine on the display cabinet.
"Wow, my little puppy," Little Carp exclaimed excitedly, running over and picking it up.
"Did you make this?"
Liu Nanfeng was somewhat enlightened. No wonder it was so crude, and how could anyone tell it was a dog?
Little Carp nodded, then shook her head.
"You nod and shake your head, what do you mean?"
Hearing him, Little Carp looked up, her big eyes rolling, a mischievous glint flashing within them.
"I'll tell you, but you can't tell my mother, okay?"
"Don't worry, I absolutely won't tell your mother." Hearing her say that, Liu Nanfeng became even more curious.
"Pinky promise," Little Carp extended her little finger.
Liu Nanfeng reluctantly hooked her finger.
After the pinky promise, Little Carp proudly declared, "This is my daddy's."
