Chapter 359 Old Guo's Cloth Shop Has an Accident

That night, at Old Guo's fabric shop, Boss Guo and Xiao Liuzi had just turned off the lights and gone to sleep.

A group of masked men in black quietly arrived near Old Guo's fabric shop. They quickly took out bows and crossbows, lit their arrows, and aimed at every corner of the shop. Burning arrows shot out like magma from a volcanic eruption, landing on Old Guo's fabric shop, which instantly erupted into raging flames.

The four hidden guards sent by Jun Mohan and Leng Ruoli sensed a dangerous aura approaching. The four of them hurriedly broke into the house to wake up Boss Guo, Xiao Liuzi, and the four shop assistants of Old Guo's fabric shop.

"Boss Guo, Xiao Liuzi, wake up quickly!"

"It's on fire! Everyone wake up!"

The four hidden guards shouted anxiously.

Boss Guo and Xiao Liuzi, who had just fallen asleep, were startled awake by the shouts of fire. They scrambled out of bed and ran towards the door, only to see thick smoke filling the sky and vicious flames engulfing the entire shop, crackling and hissing ominously.

"Heavens! My fabric shop, my life's work is all gone!"

Boss Guo wailed loudly, heartbroken.

"Uncle Guo, it's all my fault. These people are here for me, Mingming..."

"If Xiao Liuzi and I had left here with the Cold Princess today, none of this would have happened. Wuwu..."

Xiao Liuzi sobbed, filled with guilt.

"Boss Guo, Xiao Liuzi, don't look anymore. The fire is getting worse, and the houses here will collapse soon," Yin Yi and Yin Er urged.

"I'm not leaving. Xiao Liuzi, you quickly leave with them," Boss Guo said sadly, standing dejectedly in the backyard of Old Guo's fabric shop.

"No, Uncle Guo, let's all go together!"

Xiao Liuzi grabbed his arm forcefully and tried to pull him towards the door, but Boss Guo threw him off, causing Xiao Liuzi to fall to the ground.

"Uncle Guo knows you're not ordinary. Hurry and leave, Xiao Liuzi," Boss Guo urged, looking at Xiao Liuzi.

Then, he turned to Yin Yi and the others and said, "You brave warriors, quickly save Xiao Liuzi and get him out of here. Don't mind me. I can't bear to leave my fabric shop!"

"Uncle Guo, I beg you, please leave with us," Xiao Liuzi pleaded tearfully.

But Boss Guo still refused to leave. Yin Yi, helpless, knocked Boss Guo unconscious with a swift blow and carried him out.

As the four hidden guards of the Cold King led everyone out of the street, a group of masked men in black emerged from the corners and quickly surrounded them.

"I didn't expect you to be so lucky to escape such a big fire," the leader of the masked men said, his eyes glinting with malice as he swept them towards Yin Yi and Xiao Liuzi.

"Who are you to dare to cause trouble in the Tianwu capital?" Yin Yi asked angrily.

"You'd better not meddle in our affairs, or we'll kill you all," the leader said in a hoarse voice.

"Then we'll see if you have the ability," Yin Yi replied fearlessly to the masked man's threat.

Beside him, Yin Er quickly fired a signal flare into the sky to call for reinforcements.

"Not good, they're calling for backup," a subordinate of the masked leader whispered.

"Why panic? Draw your swords and attack!" the leader roared.

The group of masked men in black immediately drew their swords in unison and charged at Yin Yi and Xiao Liuzi.

Yin Yi immediately ordered Yin Er to protect Xiao Liuzi and escape separately with the unconscious Boss Guo and the shop assistants. He took the other two hidden guards to cover their retreat. Since the target was Xiao Liuzi, the enemy would not focus too much on Boss Guo and the others. By separating them, Boss Guo and the others would be safe, and Yin Yi and his companions would not be as strained protecting Xiao Liuzi.

Indeed, upon seeing Xiao Liuzi being led away by Yin Er, the leader of the masked men shouted to his subordinates, "Let's finish this quickly tonight. Hurry up and chase them down, kill that child, cut off his head, and bring it back as proof of our mission."

"Yes!"

The masked men in black responded in unison.

Then, these masked men in black fought fiercely with Yin Yi and his group with renewed ferocity.

Yin Er had not gone far with Xiao Liuzi before they were surrounded by the masked men in black again.

Meanwhile.

Leng Ruoli was enjoying a luxurious bath in her system space before heading into her laboratory to conduct research.

Leng Ruoli's task for the night was to research the main components of the Jade Dew Pill. The pill she had in hand was one she had obtained from Xing'er a few days ago, but she had been too busy to study it.

Finally having some free time tonight, she had just turned on the equipment when she heard movement outside her space. She quickly phased out of it.

"Lier, something has happened at Old Guo's fabric shop. The hidden guards have sent a signal flare asking for reinforcements. Are you going?" Jun Mohan said softly and gently from outside the room.

"Alright, I'll go with you to take a look."

Leng Ruoli readily agreed. She immediately opened the door and, along with Jun Mohan and over a dozen guards, they swiftly took off, channeling their qinggong towards Old Guo's fabric shop.

A moment later, the two arrived near Old Guo's fabric shop with their guards. Leng Ruoli and Jun Mohan frowned as they saw the flames engulfing the area.

Fortunately, Old Guo's fabric shop was a bit of a distance from the adjacent buildings, otherwise, the shops on both sides would have suffered.

The two, along with their guards, moved stealthily across the rooftops, searching for Yin Yi and his companions. They finally found Yin Yi and two other hidden guards in a narrow, secluded alley, severely wounded and unconscious. Many bodies of masked men in black lay on the ground, but Yin Er and Xiao Liuzi were nowhere to be seen.

Later, they found Boss Guo and his shop assistants in another alley. Upon questioning them, they also had no idea where Yin Yi and Xiao Liuzi had gone.

Leng Ruoli and Jun Mohan pondered for a few seconds. They left some guards to escort the injured Yin Yi and the other two hidden guards back to the Cold King's mansion for treatment.

Leng Ruoli released her snow fox, and the two, along with their guards, followed the snow fox. After a long while, they reached a small bamboo forest outside the city, where the trail went cold.

"Little Snow Fox, are you sure their scent disappeared here?" Leng Ruoli asked in disbelief.

The snow fox nodded.

"Little master, their scent vanished at this spot," the snow fox said helplessly.

"This is too strange. Yin Er and Xiao Liuzi couldn't have just disappeared into thin air. There must be something going on in this bamboo forest," Leng Ruoli muttered to herself.

"Lier, since our clues have run out, why don't we go back and check if Yin Yi and the others have woken up? We can see if we can get any clues from them," Jun Mohan suggested, glancing at the bamboo forest.
