Chapter 360 Teaching Chu Mingxuan How to Operate

In the middle of the night, the Cold King and his consort returned to the Cold King's Mansion. Chu Mingxuan was currently bandaging Yin Yi's wounds, while Doctor Yang and Doctor Han were busy attending to two other Yin Wei guards with lighter injuries.

"Consort, Yin Yi's injuries are very serious. He was stabbed in the chest, and the blade even reached his ribs. He also has many other wounds of various sizes all over his body," Chu Mingxuan said with a slight frown.

Hearing this, Leng Ruo Li and Jun Mo Han walked to Yin Yi's bedside. Leng Ruo Li reached out to feel Yin Yi's pulse. Her brows furrowed; the man was indeed severely wounded.

"Chu Mingxuan, stay and help. Everyone else, leave the room. I need to perform surgery on Yin Yi," Leng Ruo Li said with a solemn expression.

As soon as she spoke, Jun Mo Han, understanding the situation, led the guards out of the room.

Once Jun Mo Han and the others had left, Leng Ruo Li quickly closed the door. She then took out several bottles of disinfectant from her sleeve and asked Chu Mingxuan to disinfect the entire room. Next, she attached a blood transfusion bag to Yin Yi and administered an anesthetic injection. After that, she hurriedly disinfected herself and Chu Mingxuan, put on surgical gowns, and took out the medical supplies and instruments, ready to begin the surgery on Yin Yi.

"Chu Mingxuan, I will now introduce you to the surgical tools and medical supplies I will be using. This is a surgical knife, curved forceps, hemostatic forceps, coagulant, round needle, scissors, and catgut..." Leng Ruo Li pointed to the items on the tray and explained them carefully.

This was Chu Mingxuan's first time seeing the tools Leng Ruo Li used for surgery. He listened attentively as she explained each tool and supply. The tools were ingeniously designed, and he had never seen most of them before, which filled him with anticipation and excitement for the operation.

"Have you remembered everything I told you?" Leng Ruo Li asked Chu Mingxuan after her explanation.

"Consort, I've remembered it all," Chu Mingxuan nodded seriously.

"Since you've remembered, there's no need for me to repeat myself. When I call for a tool, you hand it to me. Do you understand?" Leng Ruo Li said to Chu Mingxuan with a serious expression.

"Yes, Consort, I understand," Chu Mingxuan replied earnestly.

"Good, then let's begin," Leng Ruo Li said.

She first picked up the scissors and cut away the clothing around Yin Yi's wound, then disinfected it. She then began to address the most serious wound, which was on Yin Yi's chest. After disinfecting Yin Yi's wound, she cleaned it and then carefully began to stitch it up.

Chu Mingxuan watched Leng Ruo Li perform the surgery, filled with awe. This was the Cold Consort's masterful suturing technique, and he was amazed that she was so readily sharing it with him.

Half an hour later, Leng Ruo Li had finished administering Yin Yi's medication, having finally tended to his injuries.

"All done. The surgery is complete. The next step is post-operative observation."

"Chu Mingxuan, did you see clearly how I performed the surgery?" Leng Ruo Li suddenly turned to look at him.

"I saw clearly, but I still don't know how to do it," Chu Mingxuan said with an embarrassed smile.

"Oh, you thought you could learn just by watching? It took me several years to learn even this simple suturing. If you want to master my suturing technique, it's not as simple as watching; you need to practice constantly and learn how to hold the needle," Leng Ruo Li found it rather amusing.

"Then Consort, can I practice using an embroidery needle and pigskin or animal hide?" Chu Mingxuan said, a spark of inspiration in his eyes.

"Of course, you can. I practiced suturing on animal hides when I first started," Leng Ruo Li replied.

"That's wonderful! I'll ask the steward to buy some pigskin for me to try tomorrow," Chu Mingxuan said excitedly.

Afterwards, Leng Ruo Li shared more pre- and post-operative precautions with Chu Mingxuan.

The two then opened the door and walked out.

Jun Mo Han, who had been standing not far from the door, saw the door to Yin Yi's room open and immediately walked up to Leng Ruo Li, asking caringly, "Lier, how did Yin Yi's surgery go? Are you tired?"

"The surgery was very successful, you don't need to worry. I'm fine, it was just a small operation for me," Leng Ruo Li said, looking at him with a smile in her eyes.

"Have Yin San and Yin Si woken up yet? Are their injuries not serious?" Leng Ruo Li suddenly remembered the two Yin Wei guards.

"Their injuries are not very serious. Doctor Yang and Doctor Han have already treated them, but they are still unconscious," Jun Mo Han replied with a hint of helplessness.

"I'll go and see them," Leng Ruo Li said after a moment's thought.

"Alright, I'll accompany you!"

Jun Mo Han and Leng Ruo Li continued their conversation, completely forgetting about Chu Mingxuan beside them. Chu Mingxuan was unknowingly subjected to a barrage of public displays of affection.

A few minutes later, Leng Ruo Li and Jun Mo Han arrived at Yin San and Yin Si's room.

"Doctor Yang, Doctor Han, what is the condition of Yin San and Yin Si's injuries?" Leng Ruo Li asked.

"Consort, their injuries are not particularly severe, and they should wake up soon," Doctor Yang replied truthfully.

Hearing this, Leng Ruo Li nodded.

She walked to the bedside of Yin San and Yin Si, reaching out to feel their pulses carefully. She discovered an anomaly in Yin San's pulse.

"Doctor Yang, Doctor Han, please come and feel Yin San's pulse again," Leng Ruo Li said with a suddenly serious expression.

"Consort, what's wrong with Yin San's pulse?" Doctor Yang asked, looking puzzled.

"Please come and feel Yin San's pulse and see if there's anything unusual about it," Leng Ruo Li said calmly.

Hearing this, Doctor Yang and Doctor Han looked at Leng Ruo Li with confusion. Then, they exchanged glances and went to Yin San's bedside, both extending their hands to feel his pulse.

After feeling Yin San's pulse, Doctor Yang and Doctor Han's eyes widened.

"Consort, why is Yin San's pulse like this? In all my years of practicing medicine, I've never seen such a pulse," Doctor Yang exclaimed in astonishment.

"Yes, Consort, I've never seen a pulse that fluctuates between life and death," Doctor Han said, equally bewildered.

"Yin San seems to have been poisoned. To determine the specific poison, I'll need to draw some of his blood for analysis."

With that, Leng Ruo Li took out blood-drawing equipment from her sleeve. With swift movements, she took a small sample of Yin San's blood and placed it into an instrument in her system space for analysis.

Not long after, the results of Yin San's blood test came back. Yin San had indeed been poisoned.
