Chapter 626 The Exiled Saintess of Light (59)

"Not busy today?" Morris walked into Lin Yan's study to find her staring blankly at the plains outside.

"Mm, things have come to a conclusion, so there's nothing much going on today." Lin Yan leaned into Morris, who had walked over and wrapped his arms around her waist.

The familiar scent enveloped her, bringing her immense peace.

"Then would you like to go out and relax with me? You've been so busy lately, and seeing you work so hard pains my heart," Morris whispered, kissing Lin Yan's cheek.

"Where to?" Lin Yan turned around.

"Wherever you wish. Have you seen the sea? How about I take you to Dragon Island?" Morris inquired.

"Okay." Lin Yan thought about recent events; there didn't seem to be anything pressing, so she agreed to Morris's suggestion.

Knowing they were leaving, the personal maids immediately packed their necessities.

"Are you really going out?" Madam Santi asked, frowning.

"Yes, there's nothing urgent lately, so I agreed to Morris's invitation to visit Dragon Island. I'll trouble you with the affairs of the household, Mother."

"Don't mention trouble. It's just that once you go, you'll be completely bound to that black dragon. Angie, you need to think carefully!" Although Madam Santi had seen Morris's sincerity towards Lin Yan, he was, after all, a dragon with a long lifespan. She had also witnessed many instances of dragons marrying other races, and the resulting mixed-blood offspring. Even if Lin Yan could awaken their future children's bloodline, the children would still suffer greatly. Despite their current happiness, she still worried about their future. If she went with him to Dragon Island this time, she would have no room for regret. Currently, she and Morris had not formally established a contract, leaving her with the option to reconsider.

"Mother, I've made up my mind. Morris is very trustworthy, and I believe he can give me happiness." Lin Yan held Madam Santi's hand. "Mother, trust my judgment."

"Alright, then I'll trust you. I hope he is truly worthy of your trust." Madam Santi, having experienced a failed marriage herself, had lost faith in marriage.

Lin Yan packed the items for their trip into her spatial ring and set off with Morris.

Morris transformed into his dragon form by the doorway, lowering his head so Lin Yan could stand on his head. He then flapped his wings and flew directly towards Dragon Island.

After Lin Yan's departure, the mermaid prince arrived in the territory. Upon entering, he noticed its distinctiveness from other places. He had traveled extensively over the years, but nowhere was like this. The people here were prosperous, and even the roads were smoother than elsewhere. He observed the territory as he walked, contemplating if there was anything he could trade here.

When he first saw the elven administrator, he could not conceal his astonishment. Although he already knew of the elves' existence, he had never expected that the usually arrogant elves would live so harmoniously with humans. They even managed many trivial matters. He watched as an elf read out policies to the surrounding humans, speaking kindly and not with any air of superiority.
