Chapter 110: Meeting 1

Chapter 110: Meeting 1

"Long time." A voice resounded, startling Mo Chenxuan and the others.

Turning around, they saw Xuanyuan Yi, Song Feng, and Murong Xue.

"Team leader Xuanyuan." Mo Chenxuan greeted with an expressionless face.

"Is Team Legends also registering for the refinery mission?" Song Feng asked and Qin Wu nodded before speaking.

"Team Overlord too?" She asked.

"We just heard of it and rushed to see what it’s about. I didn’t expect Team Legends to beat us here." Song Feng said in a questioning tone.

"A teammate was here when the task was issued. We came as soon as we heard."

"Is that the case?" Song Feng muttered and nodded in understanding.

After that, the two teams walked to the registration desk and began inquiring.

Fifteen minutes later, they finished registering and left the hall together.

"See you at the meeting in three days." Song Feng said before leaving with the other team Overlord members.

Seeing this, Qin Wu sighed in relief.

"They have finally left." She said but her brows were creased in a frown.

Pre-apocalypse, Xuanyuan Yi was a typical second generation.

His emotions were on display and his actions were impulsive.

However, since the apocalypse began, the impulsive young man was slowly becoming a capable man.

Even compared to the last time they met, Xuanyuan Yi seemed to have become more stable and less frivolous.

While this was good for the overall situation, it was troublesome for Team Legends.

That said, Mo Chenxuan and Qin Wu were not afraid of Xuanyuan Yi.

If he dared to hit their idea, they dared to fight him to death.

Three days passed in the blink of an eye.

On the morning of the fourth day, Mo Chenxuan and Qin Wu left Villa Eight and headed to the base administration area.

After arriving, they went to the designated building and climbed to the third floor.

"Mo Chenxuan." A voice called.

Hearing the voice, Mo Chenxuan sighed but still turned around.

"Young master Leng, miss Chu." He greeted with a nod.

"Congratulations on completing the Pine Fresh Maternity Hospital task." Chu Wan’er said, looking at Mo Chenxuan with doting eyes.

Unfortunately, the look was lost on Mo Chenxuan.

Excluding Qin Wu, the man couldn’t be bothered to analyse how other women looked at him.

"We barely completed it." Qin Wu said in a modest voice.

"I heard you encountered a level three zombie?"

"It was an ordinary, early-stage, level-three zombie. Most importantly, it had just advanced and its power was unstable. We were lucky."

"It’s a feat to defeat a level three zombie. Also, team Legends ranked up from tier C to tier A in one go. It’s a worthy achievement."

"Thank you Miss Chu." Qin Wu said and Chu Wan’er nodded.

"We will work together on this mission. There is no need to be so formal."

"You..." Qin Wu started but a commotion interrupted her words.

Looking around, she saw a dozen people walking towards them.

Of the dozen, she recognised Xuanyuan Yi and Song Feng from team Overlord, and Qin Lan and Qin Feng from the Qin family.

’Come to think of it, team Empire; the Qin family’s team, is also a tier A team.’ She thought.

There were eighteen Tier-A teams at the moment.

Ranked first was team Overlord and its allegiance mostly lay with the Xuanyuan family but also with the Wei family.

Ranking behind Team Overlord was Team Chimaera, belonging to the Fang family.

In the same way, Team Hidden Dragons belonged to the Wei family, and Team Dawn belonged to the Chu family.

’Ten tier A teams had registered as of yesterday. I don’t know if more have accepted the mission?’ Qin Wu wondered but her expression soon turned bad.

"Young master Mo, we meet again." A sweet voice floated over and a beautiful woman walked towards Mo Chenxuan.

"Miss Qin." Mo Chenxuan nodded with an indifferent expression.

"Has team Legends also accepted the refinery mission?" Qin Lan asked and Qin Wu almost rolled her eyes.

"Isn’t it obvious?" She muttered in a low voice.

However, all the gathered people were superpowers.

Although Qin Wu didn’t speak in a loud voice, they all heard it and Qin Lan couldn’t help but blush.

Seeing this, Qin Feng stepped forward and stood beside Qin Lan.

"Xiaowu, it’s been a while. Are you doing okay?" He asked, looking at Qin Wu with concerned eyes.

"I am doing fine. Thank you for asking." Qin Wu answered in a polite but distant voice.

She didn’t want to have anything to do with the Qin family.

If not for the refinery mission, she would choose to walk away and not engage in unnecessary pleasantries.

"Sister is becoming more and more beautiful." Qin Lan commented, her eyes narrowed into slits.

At the same time, her hands clenched.

She wasn’t lying.

It was almost six months since the apocalypse began.

During that time, she lost weight, her skin darkened, and her fashion style was obliterated.

But what about Qin Wu?

After more than five months, Qin Wu still looked like she was living in the pre-apocalypse world.

She hadn’t lost weight, her skin was flawless, and her style was uncompromised.

The woman even dared to dress in pure white in a world filled with filth and personal compromise!

Looking at her, Qin Lan felt jealous and angry.

How could she accept that Qin Wu seemed to be living a better life than her?

’Everything about her is mine! Qin Wu, let’s see if you can come back from this mission.’ She thought and a trace of cruelty flashed in her eyes.

"Thank you." Qin Wu said in answer to Qin Lan’s statement.

Although her appearance and dressing were conspicuous, Qin Wu didn’t want to compromise on this matter.

For her, being clean and looking good were very important.

Call it vanity or skewed priorities but this was an indulgence she didn’t want to let go of.

While the few were chatting, a door opened and a man walked out.

"The meeting is about to start. Please come inside." He said and led the way into the conference room.
