Chapter 524: Chapter 524: Asura Jonah (Part 2)
"Wait a moment, I haven’t disembarked yet, how can you set sail? Stop the boat, I need to get ashore."
However, in the next second, Claire North was pulled back by Morgan Payne who emerged from the cabin.
"What are you shouting about?" Morgan’s face showed some impatience.
"I want to get off the boat, make it dock," Claire said anxiously. She still had to become Mrs. Hawthorne and become someone everyone envies.
Morgan looked at the captain: "Ignore her, keep sailing."
As soon as Claire heard this, she immediately began to make a scene regardless of anything else. Watching the boat get further and further from the shore, she frantically charged toward the railing.
Morgan, unable to tolerate it anymore, swung and slapped Claire to the ground.
"Be honest. Once you’re on my boat, don’t think of getting off for the rest of your life."
Claire looked at Morgan, whose face had turned ferocious, and felt a surge of unease from the bottom of her heart.
"No, why won’t you let me off the boat? We have an agreement..."
"I only agreed to make Raina disappear from Southgate, but I never promised to let you go. You’re my woman, and until I tire of you, I’m not letting you go." Morgan pinched Claire’s chin. "Did you think I was stupid enough to let you off the boat to find that Hawthorne kid and put a green hat on myself? Don’t be foolish."
"You never intended to let me off the boat from the beginning?" Realizing a possibility, Claire’s heart trembled completely.
"That’s right," Morgan said without any concealment, "How does it feel falling from heaven to hell? I heard everything you and Raina said just now. I’ve never seen a woman as vicious as you, you’re simply my perfect match, hahaha."
Claire collapsed to the ground, as if in mourning.
Morgan dragged Claire to face Raina.
"Do you know what fate is? You two are destined to be best sisters for life. I’ll take good care of you both."
Morgan’s laughter was extremely rampant, and his voice almost filled the entire boat.
A knock on the door pulled Raina back from her memories.
The cabin door opened, and a tall young man exuding an evil aura entered with a glass of milk.
Seeing the person who arrived, Raina’s face changed dramatically: "It’s you?"
Jonah Rivers, with an evil smile at the corner of his mouth, and his long, narrow phoenix eyes flickering with an unusual light, said, "Nina, I told you we would meet again."
Raina’s face darkened. Who could imagine that this man, with seventy percent handsomeness and thirty percent evilness in front of her, would be The Asura, one of the top assassins on The Umbral Zone’s assassin list?
Jonah was her senior, and also her arch-nemesis.
They once belonged to the same organization, that organization...
Raina didn’t want to mention it anymore.
In order to leave there, she paid a painful price.
"What about the people on the boat?"
That old bastard Morgan was too sinister, and his concoction, developed over a lifetime of effort, wasn’t something she could easily counteract. Later, when the drug took effect and she was about to pass out, unwilling to be at anyone’s mercy, Raina decisively chose to jump into the sea.
Now seeing Jonah here, given his Asura methods, those people were likely doomed.
Raina wasn’t exactly feeling sorry for Morgan and Claire; she just didn’t want Claire to die just like that.
Even now, she still couldn’t believe that her child was truly dead.
"Are you talking about that old bastard Morgan? I chopped him up and fed him to the sharks. By now, there’s probably nothing left of him. As for his lover, she said she was your sister. Nina, why didn’t I know you had a sister?"
