Chapter 304: Chapter 304: Don’t Mind Taking Your Last Name (2)
Leila was first stunned, then immediately jumped up: "That Vivian! How dare she covet your man, Raina! And to think, I was comforting her for so long just now."
Raina slapped her hand down: "What are you talking about? He’s not my man. Elias Hawthorne has nothing to do with me."
"Raina, if you get angry, it’ll be just what Vivian wants. You should treat President Hawthorne well."
Elias Hawthorne reached the door and heard Leila’s words. He was quite pleased, thinking that a sensible girl like her should spend more time around Raina.
Raina shot a frivolous glance and said, "If you keep calling him President Hawthorne, I’ll deliver you to him myself."
"No way, please! I’m sticking with you, Raina. Don’t think of shaking me off." Leila laughed ingratiatingly and quickly changed the subject: "By the way, Raina, Director Woods called me earlier. He said someone named Beau Shelby came looking for you several times and asked that you find time to meet with him."
"Beau Shelby..."
Raina assumed she had done everything she could for this man she sincerely admired, yet he was still unsatisfied.
If that’s the case, she didn’t need to be overly polite.
A cold gleam flashed in Raina’s eyes as she told Leila, "Tell everyone at The Veridian Institute of Medicine that I will be visiting tomorrow."
"Okay."
"Leila." Raina stopped her: "I hope Claire North hears about my visit to The Veridian Institute of Medicine."
Leila paused for a moment, then agreed without asking why.
Raina couldn’t help but smile; such a smart kid. Master Foster is certainly lucky.
Thinking of Claire North, if she’s shameless enough to even scheme against the child, then don’t blame her for being unkind!
Raina turned around and saw Elias Hawthorne leaning against the wall, standing in the doorway watching her.
"Oh, you heard right. I’m planning to entrap your Claire."
Elias’s face darkened instantly: "What do you mean, my Claire? She has nothing to do with me!"
"Nothing to do with you?" Raina eyed him coldly and sneered, "No connection, yet you have a child together? Save the lies for the ghosts."
"Raina, you’re so cute when you’re jealous." Elias chuckled softly, his voice seductive: "Be good, don’t be angry. I’ll only have kids with you from now on. Once I’m all set, we can start."
Raina glared at him: "You should shut up!" Seeing that Elias wanted to speak, she interrupted: "Get on the bed and lie down properly."
"Are you going to join me?"
"Yes, get up there quickly." Raina pushed Elias up.
Elias’s arms and legs were a little weak and he fell onto the bed with a thump, feeling particularly helpless: "Raina, can’t you be a bit more gentle?"
"Sorry, I’m usually rough and don’t know what gentle looks like. If President Hawthorne genuinely wants gentleness, perhaps I should call Vivian back?"
Just as Elias was about to speak, he coughed up a mouthful of blood.
Raina didn’t have time to dodge and was sprayed all over.
Elias looked at Raina’s blood-stained clothes: "Sorry, couldn’t hold it in."
Though he apologized, he didn’t actually feel very apologetic. On the contrary, he felt pleased, enjoying the dark satisfaction of pulling Raina down from her pedestal.
Elias never thought of himself as a good person. To get what he desired, he was willing to use whatever means necessary.
Raina was fully aware of Elias’s thoughts and coldly chuckled internally. If she didn’t teach Elias a lesson this time, he might really start thinking she’s an easy target, ready to be squeezed however he pleased!
