Chapter 28: Interrogating Julian
"Hello everyone, I’m in a luxury car right now," Julian thought to himself as he looked out the car window, feeling like the main character.
"Why did this happen? The answer is about 16 minutes ago" Julian continued to himself.
16 minutes ago.
"What?!," Anindya said with an angry expression and tone.
"I won’t let you two go!" Anindya continued, clenching her right fists.
"Calm down, Lady Anindya. I just want to have a quick chat with Julian" Lia said, trying to calm Anindya down.
"You think I’ll believe you?! You must want to tease Julian again, right?!" Anindya said with an annoyed expression and tone.
Julian and Lia looked at each other, they sighed, not long after Lia snapped her right fingers
"CLICK!" Lia snapped her fingers.
When he snapped his fingers, suddenly several female guards came who were with Lia, Anindya was surprised and looked around, then he said
"What are you planning?!" Anindya asked, glaring at Lia.
"I’m sorry, young lady" Lia said apologetically.
"EVERYONE! HOLD ON LADY ANINDYA!" Lia shouted.
Instantly, about six guards began to restrain Anindya, and Anindya struggled and squirmed.
"Damn it! You brought Elite Guards, huh!?" Anindya said in an annoyed tone.
"Excuse me, Lady Anindya" Lia replied.
Lia started to leave with Julian.
"WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!, WAIT, LIA!!!" Anindya shouted who was still being held.
After Lia and Julian disappeared from Anindya’s sight, the guards began to loosen their grip. Anindya sat down limply, feeling angry.
Back to the present.
"And that’s how I ended up here. I’m sorry, Anindya" Julian said to himself, feeling guilty.
Julian glanced at Lia, who was driving, and mustered up the courage to ask.
"A-ano..." said Julian, embarrassed.
"Yes?" replied Lia, who was driving the Koenigsegg Gemera.
"Ms. Lia, you shouldn’t have overreacted like that" said Julian, still embarrassed.
"Don’t worry, if I hadn’t done that, she would have come with us, and when she got home, her father would have punished her for being late" Lia said, trying to comfort Julian.
After hearing Lia’s words, Julian felt relieved.
"O-oh, I see. Then I’m relieved to hear that~" said Julian, with a relieved expression.
After that, Julian asked Lia again.
"S-so, Ms. Lia, what do you want to ask me?" Julian asked in a relaxed tone.
"First of all, I would like to say thank you for taking care of Lady Anindya" said Lia.
"Ahh, no problem" Julian replied.
"So, how long are you going to play with Lady Anindya?" Lia asked.
"W-what do you mean?" Julian asked back with a slightly panicked expression and tone.
"I know you’re dating Lady Anindya, because you lost the game" Lia replied.
Julian was shocked.
"H-how did you know about that?!" Julian asked with a panicked expression and tone.
"Of course I know, because I heard your friends gossiping on the stairs" Lia replied.
Julian was getting nervous. His throat felt dry and his eyes darted out the window, trying to find a distraction, but Lia stared straight ahead as she continued,
"I don’t want to interfere in your affairs... But Lady Anindya is too sincere to be your toy" Lia said.
Hearing Lia’s words, Julian immediately fell silent. Her words felt like a slap to his conscience. He gripped his school pants tightly, then looked down, muttering.
"At first I was just messing around and was sure I would be rejected..." Julian muttered softly.
"Hmm?" Lia replied, still focusing her gaze ahead.
"But now... I really like her," Julian said in a firmer voice.
"I never thought I could truly fall in love with Anindya" Julian continued, clutching his chest.
Lia glanced at Julian for a moment to see his expression, then turned her focus back to driving. A small, though faint, smile appeared on her face. Then she said
"Then prove it" Lia said curtly.
"What do you mean?" Julian asked.
"Prove that you’re useful as her boyfriend, because earlier I saw Lady Anindya paying for his dinner" said Lia.
Julian felt a stab in the gut when she heard those words.
"S-sorry about that... My money not enough money" Julian said with an awkward smile.
"Haa... It’s better not to be like that from now on, okay" Lia said with a sigh.
"O-okay" Julian replied resignedly.
"Oh, by the way, have you told Miss Anindya, that you confessed your love because you lost the game?" Lia asked.
"N-not yet..." Julian replied quietly.
"I suggest you tell immediately, because Lady Anindya has been clinging to you too much. I’m afraid she’ll be disappointed after finding out that your declaration of love was due to losing a game" Lia said seriously.
"I-I’ll think about it, I don’t want to hurt her feelings either, I’ll wait for the right time to say it" Julian said, lamenting.
Seeing Julian like that, Lia smiled.
"You know, I think I know why Lady Anindya’s life changed" Lia said with a little smile.
Julian immediately raised his head, then he said
"Hm? Changed her life? What was she like before?" Julian asked.
Lia put her left index finger to her lips, then closed her right eye and said.
"It’s a secret~" Lia replied with a smile and a mischievous tone.
Julian was surprised to see that, he sighed as he said
"Haa... Geezzz, you and Anindya are just the same" Julian said.
"Hahahaha, let Lady Anindya tell the story about herself" Lia said while laughing and returning to focus on driving.
After several hours of travel, they finally arrived in front of Julian’s alley.
"Are you sure you want to get off here?" Lia asked.
"Yes, I don’t want anyone else to see," Julian replied with a smile.
"Thank you very much, Ms. Lia, for the ride" Julian continued while trying to open the car door.
But before Julian could open the door, Lia stopped him. Then she said
"Julian, please take care of Lady Anindya" Lia said with a serious expression and tone.
"Just leave it to me!" Julian replied confidently to Lia.
"Oh, and one more thing, outside of school, just call me Lia, okay?" Lia said with a sweet smile.
Julian was fascinated by Lia’s smile, then he replied
"O-okay" Julian replied, blushing.
After that, Julian got out of the car and walked toward his house. Lia turned the car around, then drove back to Anindya’s house. After a long journey, Lia finally arrived at Anindya’s house.
As she entered, suddenly—
"TING!!!" came the sound of two daggers clashing.
It turned out the attack came from Anindya, who had sprinted from the first-floor stairs toward Lia. Fortunately, Lia easily held back the attack with her dagger.
"It seems you’ve been waiting for me for quite a while, Lady Anindya?" Lia asked with a relaxed expression and tone.
"WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING, HUH?!" Anindya shouted with an irritated expression and tone.
Lia tilted her head slightly to the right, then she placed the tip of her left index finger to the middle of her lips.
"Hmm..." Lia said, pretending to think.
"ANSWER QUICKLY!" Anindya shouted
Hearing Anindya’s shout, Lia immediately removed her index finger from her lips and moved it to the left, not far from her left cheek. Then she tilted her head slightly to the left, then said.
"...Maybe we hug intimately, ehe!" Lia replied with a mischievous smile and tone and winking her left eye.
Anindya’s eyes immediately widened, then she gritted her teeth in anger.
"HUGGING—WHAT?!" Anindya shouted, pushing Lia back and glaring at her.
But unfortunately Lia was only pushed back a little.
"YOU THINK THAT’S FUNNY, HUH?!" Anindya shouted while pressing Lia.
Lia chuckled, then jumped 15 meters to the left. She stood up straight, twirled her dagger, and put it back in her pocket.
"Calm down, young lady, I was just kidding~" Lia said with mischievous smile.
"DON’T TRY TO PLAY WITH MY FEELINGS, LIA!" Anindya snapped, annoyed.
Lia sighed, then approached Anindya and said.
"Young lady, I’m not going to steal or seduce Julian" Lia said casually.
"Do you think I’ll believe you?!, You have the skills to seduce every man, so I won’t believe you easily!" Anindya said with an annoyed expression and tone.
Hearing that, Lia smiled mischievously for a moment, then after smiling she held her left cheek with her left palm and said.
"You’re so mean, Lady Anindya. I was just asking how deep his feelings for you were" Lia said mischievously.
Anindya’s anger suddenly subsided a little.
"T-then what did he say?" Anindya asked curiously.
"He said that his feelings for you were as vast as the ocean," Lia said with a mischievous smile.
Anindya fell silent. Her face, which had been flushed with anger, began to change, as the blush slowly moved to her cheeks in embarrassment.
"A-as vast as the ocean...?" Anindya said softly, almost a murmur.
Lia nodded slowly, then leaned in to Anindya’s right ear and began whispering.
"He also said, ’Anindya is the most beautiful woman in the world, I can never take my eyes off her’." Lia whispered gentle with a mischievous smile.
Anindya’s eyes widened, now her face as red as a boiled crab. She dropped her dagger and said
"JU...JU," Anindya said nervously.
"Hm?" Lia asked with a confused expression.
"JU... JULIAN, IDIOOTTT!!" Anindya shouted as she ran quickly toward the stairs.
"Pfft!, AHAHAHAHAHA, oh my gosh, I-I just kidding. I’m so sorry, Lady Anindya and Julian" Lia muttered, chuckling as she watched Anindya run towards the stairs.
As she climbed the stairs and reached the sixth step, Anindya encountered a man in a white coat descending the stairs. The man paused as Anindya passed him, then turned to look at Lia, then continued down the stairs until he reached the bottom step. He then approached Lia and said,
"Can’t you control yourself towards Lady Anindya?!" the man said in an annoyed tone.
Lia immediately stopped laughing and looked at the man and said,
"Oh! You’ve returned from England, huh?" Lia said with a surprised expression and tone.
"Oh, yes, actually..." Lia continued, wanting to explain something to the man.
After Lia explaining, the man was immediately shocked and shouted.
"W-WHAT?! LADY ANINDYA HAS A BOYFRIEND?!" the man shouted.
"Shhh! Lower your voice, or the Master and Madam will hear you" Lia said while placing her right index finger in the middle of her lips.
"S-Sorry, explain to me about that boy" the man said in a low but clear voice.
"Okay, but give me Rp. 200,000, okay?" Lia asked with a mischievous smile.
"Geez! Alright, Alright!" the man replied, pulling out Rp. 200,000 from his pocket, then handing it to Lia.
"Thank you!" Lia said, accepting the money with a smile.
After that, Lia told the man everything.
Meanwhile, Anindya, who was in her room, was lying face down on the bed, hugging her pillow, and smile overjoyed after hearing Julian’s words from Lia. Then she took out her phone and began looking through the photos they had taken at Ancol. Anindya smiled to herself as she looked at them. And the night passed peacefully.
