"Answer my question!"
The man's hand explored her waist. Though his touch was gentle, his voice carried an irresistible aura.
Wei Yumeng bit her lip tightly, her hands digging into his arm, unwilling to let him advance further.
"I... whose child I'm carrying has nothing to do with you. Let me go!"
"And you're saying that doesn't matter if your paralyzed husband finds out?"
"What do you want!" Wei Yumeng's voice held a note of wariness and fear, but these only became the leverage for the man to control her.
His cold fingertips slowly traced her cheek, his voice like a demon's, sending chills down her spine.
"I want... you."
"You wish!" This was her bottom line.
"Your feisty spirit, damn, why do I like it so much? It's interesting."
The man turned her face and precisely kissed her lips. Wei Yumeng struggled frantically. The man's intensity grew, tinged with a fierce edge.
She dared not make a sound, yet she was unwilling to be defiled by this stranger. Gritting her teeth, the metallic taste of blood spread between them. The man pushed her away in pain.
"You really are a little hedgehog. I'm getting more and more interested in you. But if you want to resist me, you'd better see how capable you are."
"State your conditions directly, but don't come looking for me again!"
If this man could be dealt with by money, that would be best. She feared he wasn't after money at all.
The man leaned against the headboard, tilting his head slightly. Wei Yumeng could almost feel the wicked upward curve of his lips.
"Let's make a deal. You want to leave here desperately, don't you? I can help you. This paralyzed man won't be able to stand for at least a decade. Are you really willing to stay here forever?"
Wei Yumeng indeed wanted to leave. She had her own plans. It wasn't for her mother that she would endure Wei Anguo.
However, her intuition told her that the man before her was no good either.
She was faced with only two paths: a steep cliff ahead, and a bottomless abyss behind. Either way, it was death.
"I won't agree to your terms!"
Staying with the Zhan family, at least she could protect her mother's life. If she ran, let alone the Zhan family, even Wei Anguo wouldn't let her go.
She didn't dare to gamble everything like this yet.
The man, however, was not in a hurry. He cupped Wei Yumeng's chin.
"Sweetheart, don't answer me in a hurry. I'll give you three days. You'll beg me."
"I won't!"
Her answer was firm.
"Then let's wait and see. But before I go, I need to leave you a memento."
Before Wei Yumeng could react, he suddenly hooked her neck, and a warmth spread over her.
She realized what he intended to do, her pupils constricting sharply. Her hands desperately tried to push him away.
After he finished, the man got up and quickly leaped out the window. When she turned her head, she only saw a corner of the curtain billowing in the wind. The room was as silent as if nothing had happened.
She slumped to the floor, touching the spot on her chest, only to realize her heart felt like it was about to leap out of her body.
Who was this man? Why was he bothering her? What did he want?
She stumbled into the bathroom and looked at the faint purple marks on her neck. A surge of anger rose in her chest. That bastard did it on purpose!
How was she supposed to explain this to Zhan Mohan tomorrow?
