Chapter 175: Cut Off from Titus

Chapter 175: Cut Off from Titus

Halle knew that one night of love sounded ridiculous and crazy. Their meeting was just an accident.

She had thought that they would never meet again.

However, they met in such an embarrassing situation.

Halle was Hilla’s sister. Horton was the doctor of the Andersons and Bruce’s cousin.

At that time, Hilla and Bruce’s marriage was full of disharmony. Halle didn’t want to make more trouble for Hilla.

She didn’t know how to deal with it.

"Horton seems to like you and he is also Emily’s father. How about reconsidering it?"

Hilla pursed her lips. She seemed to understand that it was probably because of herself.

The Hutts and the Andersons were relatives. So Halle was afraid that Hilla would felt awkward.

Halle looked at Hilla and said seriously, "Hilla, promise me never to tell anyone about this, including Bruce."

"Halle, I..."

"I know you care about Emily and me. But have you ever considered whether Horton and I are suitable to each other?"

"If Horton is just an excellent doctor, I am willing to have a try for Emily even if he is single and unmarried. But he is not."

"The Hutt family is not very good, not as rich as the Andersons. Are they unwilling?" Hilla whined. She felt that Halle was a little pessimistic but it was reasonable.

Halle didn’t care about it. She said, "Not all families are as good as the Anderson family. Unlike Bruce, Horton is not the only heir of the Hutt family. Although Horton had connections with me by accident, there is no need to trouble him. Moreover, I don’t want to suffer such pains anymore."

She didn’t want to please other people.

Since she didn’t want to do anything for him, it was unfair for Horton to be torn between his family and her.

It was also unfair to Halle.

It was not because of love. They should have been strangers to each other.

"Halle, it’s not good for you."

"Is Horton willing to give up Emily?"

Hilla felt it was strange. She could see that Horton liked Emily very much. He even changed her diapers.

She noticed that Horton always showed great affection to Emily. Eyes would not lie.

Although Horton was wearing glasses, Hilla could sense his love for Emily.

"He doesn’t know that Emily is his daughter."

"You lied to him."

Hilla felt that Halle was bold. Halle didn’t seem to be feeble and have no idea. On the contrary, she had her own independent thoughts.

She made a clear arrangement for her life and would not change because of others.

"I didn’t lie to him. I just don’t want to disturb his life. Hilla, I want to take Emily back to the countryside as soon as possible."

She couldn’t stay here any longer.

She was afraid that they would be at loggerheads if Horton knew Emily was his daughter.

Hilla was silent for a moment. She had thought that it was good if Horton and Halle would get married.

When she knew Horton was Emily’s father, she still had such a thought. "Halle, I know you’re here. Open the door!"

The doorbell suddenly rang. Hilla was stunned and it sounded familiar. The maid went to open the door but was stopped by her.

Looking at the expression of Halle, Hilla turned grim, "Do they trouble you again?"

No wonder Halle was in such a hurry to go back to the country. If she wanted to cut ties with Horton, there was no need to do so. It was just an excuse.

Halle lowered her voice and said, "In order to reject Horton, I deliberately made him think that Titus was Emily’s father. But I didn’t expect that Titus wanted to remarry me."

It was out of her expectation. She was floored by his change and didn’t know how to deal with it.

Hilla took a deep breath. She felt that Halle’s method was a bit stupid, but Titus and Spring were so shameless and disgusting.

Hilla frowned and said in a deep voice, "I’ll address it."

Halle put herself in such a dilemma. Hilla had to help her as her sister. They came here to make trouble. Hilla couldn’t bear it.

"Halle, come out. It’s no using hiding here. You must come out today."

Spring’s voice was loud. Although this place occupied a large area, their courtyard was adjacent to each other. The surrounding households could hear what she

shouted.

The door suddenly opened. Hilla stood at the door and looked at Spring with disgust.

Spring was shocked but quickly recovered. She said in a domineering tone, "Where’s Halle? Why she doesn’t come out? Let me go in and talk with her. Why does she hide from her mother-in-law with Emily?"

Hilla blocked the door and said with a sneer, "Mother-in-law? Halle has been divorced from Titus for a year. You are an ex-mother-in-law now. You’re so shameless."

"How can you say so? You are ill-bred."

Spring knew that Hilla had a strong personality and looked seductive. She disliked this girl before.

After the Holt family went bankrupt, Hilla sold herself to the Anderson family.

Hilla relied on the Anderson family and looked down on her.

"People who have seen me all praise me for my upbringing. I’m afraid you aren’t normal."

"Damn it, you are so rude and willful because of the Andersons. Halle gives birth to Emily. Emily is my granddaughter. She should come back home with Emily, or..."

"You are shameless! Your granddaughter? You are disgusting!"

Hilla rolled his eyes and slammed the door. Then she called security. Soon, she heard the sound of Spring being dragged away.

Hilla sighed with relief. She turned around and saw Horton come out with Emily. There was something more difficult to deal with!

...

Spring had been here for three days, and Hilla got angrier.

But Halle was calm no matter how the Tysons caused trouble. She was more willing to take care of Emily and herself well.

"I have never seen such a shameless person. She even says that Emily is her granddaughter. Is Titus a fool? He doesn’t tell Spring the truth. Is he willing to remarry?"

Hilla drove Spring away with rage. Spring could always find a way to come in, although Hilla drove her out and called the security guards.

She was like a snake that could be able to come in if it found a gap.

If Hilla hadn’t come early this time, Spring would have barged in.

Halle also didn’t know why. She had told the truth to Titus.

Titus knew that Emily was not his daughter. It was strange that Spring came here again and again.

It was obvious that Spring didn’t know the truth. But why she didn’t know it? Halle couldn’t understand.

"Hilla, help me look after Emily. I want to meet Titus in person."

"To meet Titus? No, you can’t go out now."

Hilla replied, "You can’t go out. I can meet him instead of you."

Halle was weak now. It was a difficult delivery and Halle was in danger at that time.

Fortunately, Emily was not born prematurely and was healthy now.

The Tysons were bad guys. Hilla would not agree with Halle to see Titus.

"Hilla, I’m afraid that only after seeing Titus personally will I know the fact. I have recovered well. I can make it with no problem."

She just needed to be careful and met Titus nearby.

Halle insisted to do so, but Hilla was worried. "I will go with you if you insist to see him. I can’t let you see him alone. I’ll go with you, or you can’t go."

Finally, Halle had to take her advice. Halle looked at Emily with concern. "I can’t leave Emily here alone."

Hilla also thought so. She looked at Halle and said, "Let Horton take care of her. No one is better than him."

Halle hesitated. Recently, Horton had been here frequently, which made her uneasy. How could she ask Horton to look after Emily?

She knew that Horton was willing, but...

"It won’t take much time. We will come back as soon as possible."

Halle nodded.

She had to be cut off from the Tyson family. It would affect their life if she didn’t do so.

Horton was excited when he was called over. He was surprised and delighted when Halle asked him to take care of Emily.

Then he heard that Halle was to see Titus.

"You are to see him? Do you want to remarry because of Emily?"

Horton sulked. If it was not Emily in his arms, he would have thrown it out.

Halle looked guilty. It was not proper to ask Horton to look after Emily. But she had no other choice.

If there were other choices, she would not ask Horton to help her.

"Don’t worry. Halle won’t remarry him. She is to cut off from him. Why are you shouting? It scares Emily."

Halle felt embarrassed, but Hilla didn’t. It was not good to cover the truth that he was Emily’s father. But Halle had done so. It was meaningless to feel guilty.

"Halle, is it real?"

Horton was stunned. He knew that Spring often came here. But as a stranger, it would make things worse if he helped Halle.

Fortunately, Hilla had always been there. Thanks to her, Spring was dragged out by the security guard every time.

"Do you want Hilla to remarry with that guy?"

"Of course not! Although he is Emily’s father, he is a bad guy."

Horton pursed his lips and looked at Halle with sincerity.

Hilla lowered his head with a smile and pulled Halle away.

It was uncomfortable to see Horton shilly-shally. No wonder Halle was anxious to take Emily away.

Perhaps she was afraid that she would tell Horton the truth after staying with him for a long time.

They met Titus at a nearby cafe. There were few people and it was quiet.

No one disturbed them. It was the most suitable place for them to talk.

Titus had arrived. He was sitting in a wheelchair. When he saw Halle, he was delighted.

"Halle, I’ve ordered your favorite iced Americano."

Titus said with a smile. But Hilla sneered, "No need. Halle is in confinement and can’t drink cold. I’ll drink it."

Then she poured a cup of hot water for Halle.

Although it was uncomfortable to drink hot water in the summer, Halle had got used to it.

"Hilla, I want to talk to him alone. Can you leave for a while?"

Hilla didn’t want to do so but had to follow Halle’s words. She stood up and walked to the next table.

Hilla could see what they were doing.

"Halle, I’m happy that you are willing to see me. I have a lot to talk about with you. It was my fault last time. I was too excited. Did I hurt you?"

Titus wanted to grab her hand but Halle dodged quickly.

She said seriously, "Actually, I don’t want to see you again. But I have to do so. I don’t know what you said to your family. Spring came to my resident and made trouble again and again. You must know it."

Titus didn’t expect that Halle was indifferent to him. Halle had never spoken to her so coldly. He was a little embarrassed but was not discouraged at all.

He hurt her heart first. It was normal that she was angry with him.

"She wants to take you back home. I know you don’t want to forgive me and you’re worried that I will treat Emily badly. Don’t worry, I have told Spring that Emily is my daughter. She will treat her as her granddaughter. Halle, do you see my sincerity? I wish that you can forgive me and remarry with me to have a peaceful life."

Hilla frowned instantly. As expected, it was his fault. Halle and Emily were pestered by Spring every day. Why does he not mind that Emily is not his daughter?
