Chapter 323 The Golden Coast

Jiang Fan, seeing Zhou Niannian beside him, couldn't wake her no matter how he shook her, and felt a bit at a loss.

After all, his body hadn't slowed down at all until now.

If they continued to fall at this speed, not only he but also his companions would likely be smashed into meat paste.

"This shouldn't be happening. What's going on? Are they really planning to let us crash to death here?"

"Damn it, why isn't it slowing down yet?"

Jiang Fan frantically searched his backpack, but found no tools that could protect them from such a high-altitude fall.

Jiang Fan loudly called out to his surrounding teammates, but they couldn't hear him at all.

Besides Jiang Fan hearing Dai Xiaomei screaming frantically beside him, her screams piercing the air and reaching his ears.

All he heard was the fierce wind.

"Damn it, are we really going to die here?"

He had expected this scene to be somewhat safer, but he hadn't anticipated it being so dangerous.

Even as they fell and he could clearly see the ground below, Jiang Fan still couldn't find any way to support his body's weight.

Moreover, due to the rapid descent, Jiang Fan was already feeling oxygen-deprived.

"Damn it..."

With Jiang Fan's last utterance, he too lost consciousness.

A vast, dark emptiness, only the sound of fine sand and waves crashing could be heard.

His body felt slightly cold, but he didn't know where the wind was coming from.

The granular texture in his hand made Jiang Fan feel like he wasn't dreaming.

Recalling the scene of his fall, Jiang Fan suddenly sat up.

"Damn it!"

Jiang Fan sat up and looked around, realizing he was not in a jungle but on a beach.

The sun was dazzling, but not scorching.

The surroundings were empty, with only the sea and yellow sand.

Occasionally, waves would crash against the yellow sand and hit Jiang Fan, making him uncomfortable.

Jiang Fan's anxious emotions, coupled with the environmental influences, made his mood even more restless.

He kept searching for his companions, but no one appeared beside him.

"Zhou Niannian, Dai Xiaomei."

"Yao, Gungun."

"..."

Jiang Fan repeatedly called out his companions' names, but still received no response.

Just then, he suddenly saw a fire pit with something roasting on it.

Being extremely hungry, he didn't bother to consider whose it was.

Jiang Fan quickly devoured the roasted fish in front of him.

Looking at the spot where he had been lying, Jiang Fan's eyes were filled with bewilderment.

All his teammates were gone, and their life or death was unknown.

He himself had probably only survived by luck, falling onto this coast. Looking at the golden shore stretching endlessly, Jiang Fan couldn't help but feel a sense of confusion.

Although he was usually the main combat force, leading his team, when he discovered that all his companions had disappeared and their fate was uncertain, he couldn't help but feel incredibly dejected.

After all, it was uncertain if his companions were even still alive and well.

If he hadn't been lucky enough to fall here, he would likely have been smashed to pieces.

Suddenly, waves crashed onto the golden beach.

A protruding mound of sand caught Jiang Fan's attention. Without thinking, Jiang Fan put aside the roasted fish in his hand and quickly ran forward.

As the waves continued to beat against the small mound, a figure came into view.

"Zhou Niannian, Zhou Niannian!"

Jiang Fan recognized her instantly by her long black hair and almost perfect physique. It was definitely Zhou Niannian.

As Jiang Fan rushed to her side, his eyes welled up slightly, his hands trembling uncontrollably, unsure if the woman before him was alive or dead.

Seeing no rise and fall in her chest, Jiang Fan couldn't help but place his hands on her chest to check for breathing.

Clearly, Zhou Niannian had stopped breathing, and Jiang Fan became even more panicked.

"No, this can't happen. I have to save you, Zhou Niannian."

With that, Jiang Fan immediately took off his jacket, covered Zhou Niannian with it, and then placed his hands on her chest, pressing down repeatedly.

Zhou Niannian had likely drowned, causing her airway to be blocked.

All Jiang Fan could do now was perform artificial respiration, trying to pull Zhou Niannian back from the brink of death.

"You can't be hurt. You must not be hurt."

Jiang Fan's hands continued to tremble as he performed artificial respiration.

Fortunately, after a short while, Zhou Niannian expelled a jet of water from her mouth.

As the water was expelled, Zhou Niannian coughed several times, spitting out all the sand and dirt from her mouth.

She opened her eyes, and the stinging saltwater made her eyes ache terribly. She immediately leaned towards Jiang Fan and used his clothes to clear the sand and grit from her eyes.

"Are you okay? Zhou Niannian."

Jiang Fan was overjoyed to see Zhou Niannian wake up and immediately asked about her condition.

But Zhou Niannian acted as if nothing had happened. After wiping her eyes with Jiang Fan's clothes, she even giggled amusingly.

"Of course, I'm fine. Look, I'm bouncing with energy, aren't I?"

"But why am I here?"

Seeing this, Jiang Fan finally relaxed. Zhou Niannian was still the same Zhou Niannian.

"We just fell. Don't you remember? You were scared unconscious as soon as you fell."

"I originally thought something would save us, but I never expected this high-altitude fall to not slow down at all. We must have fallen into the sea, or we would have been smashed to death by now."

"Fortunately, we were lucky and survived, being washed ashore. Now, let's quickly eat some roasted fish to replenish our strength."

As Jiang Fan spoke, he heard Zhou Niannian's stomach growl.

After all, they didn't know how long they had been unconscious.

If the waves hadn't washed over Jiang Fan's face, he probably wouldn't have woken up yet, let alone Zhou Niannian.
