Shen Yue quickly shook her head, "I don't want to, I don't want to."
Being the villain would lead to a more miserable end.
The system sent a cheering emoji.
"Then let's cheer together!"
Shen Yue was quite impressed by the system; it was so… optimistic.
Upon thinking about undertaking a truly wicked deed, "playing with the villain's feelings," Shen Yue couldn't help but feel nervous. After some hesitation, she still decided to ask the system.
"This is my first time playing with someone's feelings. Do you have any advice?"
The system replied, "Please wait a moment."
Before long, many books appeared in her mind:
* *How to Become a Scumbag Girl*
* *Little Tricks for Playing with Men*
* *The Thirty-Six Stratagems for Seducing Men*
* *Scumbag Girl's Emotional Education*
…
Shen Yue: "..."
Actually, it was completely unnecessary.
Bai Bo looked at the audience, his heart burning.
Shen Yue had rejected him, saying she had to go home to do homework, but then secretly planned to surprise him?
He knew Shen Yue wasn't completely indifferent to him.
Thinking this, Bai Bo felt a burning and comforting warmth in his chest, and with a slightly flushed face, he grinned.
Guan Shan saw him smiling so shamelessly and followed his intense gaze, almost immediately spotting the pure-looking young girl.
He patted Bai Bo's shoulder with a cheeky grin.
"You've got something going on, kid."
Bai Bo disdainfully shook off his hand. Guan Shan didn't mind. "I don't think you're completely without a chance. Brother, you should put in more effort. Don't people say that if you fawn long enough, you become the King of Fawners? You've got this!"
He even made a cheering gesture.
"Can you not say it so crudely?" Bai Bo glared at him. "This is called pursuing someone. What do you know?"
"Alright, alright, I don't know. I'll wait for your good news."
Bai Bo's Adam's apple bobbed, but he didn't refute. As if to cover it up, he grabbed the mineral water bottle beside him, unscrewed the cap, and tilted his head back, gulping it down.
Stepping onto the court again, Bai Bo was a completely different person, a stark contrast to his laziness in the previous match.
Only the players knew that Bai Bo was acting as if he had taken stimulants, exuding energy and showing an unprecedented level of seriousness.
His moves were exceptionally flashy and pleasing to the eye. Many of his teammates thought Bai Bo was showing off; although it was cool, it was too ostentatious, almost blinding.
To put it more bluntly, he was like a peacock displaying its plumage, his movements incredibly flamboyant, leaving the players dumbfounded.
Every time Bai Bo scored a point, he would glance at the rest area out of the corner of his eye. The young girl was sitting obediently on the long bench, clapping for him.
This gave Bai Bo a great sense of accomplishment. In the past, he played purely to win, but now he wanted to capture one person's gaze forever.
The game was already past the halfway mark, and the match was intense. Bai Bo's team grew stronger with each passing moment, practically dominating the opposing team with fierce and accurate plays.
Although the opponents were trying their best and were not weak, they were still several points behind.
There were three games in total. After the second game ended, Bai Bo's team was more than ten points ahead of their opponents. As the referee blew the whistle, Bai Bo lifted his chin, looking arrogant and handsome.
There was a fifteen-minute break after the match.
Bai Bo abandoned his teammates and ran towards the spectator stands.
Guan Shan watched and shook his head, complaining to Wei Jingzhou beside him.
"Look at him, acting so pathetic, like a lapdog. No wonder she's not interested in him."
After not hearing a reply for a long time, Guan Shan turned his head in confusion and saw the young man drinking water, completely ignoring him.
Wei Jingzhou crushed the empty bottle, the plastic creaking. His bulging, veined arm lifted the water bottle, and it landed perfectly in the trash can.
"Brother Wei, I'm talking to you."
The young man glanced at him from the corner of his eye, his distinctively beautiful jawline and sharp, proudly upturned eyes making him look exceptionally spirited.
His voice was deep, "If you have something to say, say it quickly."
Guan Shan, being the oblivious type, didn't mind and repeated himself.
After finishing, he remembered that Wei Jingzhou didn't know Shen Yue and pointed her out to him.
"It's that fair-skinned, slender girl."
Wei Jingzhou casually glanced in the direction Guan Shan pointed but didn't see the girl's face.
Bai Bo, with his great height, completely blocked the girl from view; not a single strand of hair was visible.
He could only see Bai Bo bending over, seemingly saying something to the girl.
Guan Shan also realized they couldn't see from their current position and waved Wei Jingzhou over to his spot for a clearer view.
The young man frowned, his expression one of extreme impatience.
He could now clearly see the girl's face.
The girl sat there obediently, pursing her lips, her eyes curved into a smile as she happened to glance over this way. Her skin was as fair as freshly peeled water caltrop, pure and peerlessly beautiful.
Wei Jingzhou raised an eyebrow, his narrow eyes narrowing.
Whether it was an illusion or not, he felt that the girl's smile towards him earlier carried a different kind of meaning.
As if… seducing him?
When he looked again, the girl was no longer looking at him but was talking to Bai Bo.
It seemed his perception was mistaken, or he had imagined it.
Seeing Wei Jingzhou staring at the girl, Guan Shan thought he was captivated by her beauty.
"Doesn't she look amazing?"
Wei Jingzhou indifferently withdrew his gaze and curled his lips into a smile, a rather roguish one.
"She's just so-so. I don't think her character is great."
Guan Shan's eyes widened in disbelief. He exaggeratedly cupped his ear, "Big brother, what do you mean 'just so-so'?! Your standards are too high!"
Wei Jingzhou turned his head, raising his eyebrows, "You're interested in her too?"
Guan Shan vigorously shook his head. "How dare I? You don't see how Bai Bo dotes on her. If I dared to have any thoughts, wouldn't he beat me to death?"
Wei Jingzhou scoffed, "Coward."
Guan Shan was about to retort when the referee blew his whistle. The final basketball game began, and Bai Bo reluctantly ran back.
The third game was the final. Both sides played fiercely, but due to the large point difference between the teams, Bai Bo's team was still the ultimate winner.
The young men were all high-spirited. Even though it was winter, after playing basketball indoors for so long, they were all sweating profusely.
After winning, everyone was happy and clamoring to go eat.
Shen Yue's mind was still preoccupied with how to approach the great villain. After all, the villain's flamboyant demeanor suggested a not-so-good personality, and he seemed difficult to get along with.
Just then, Bai Bo arrived and invited her to the team dinner.
Shen Yue was thrilled; it was like a pillow arriving just when she felt sleepy. However, she feigned hesitation before agreeing.
This made Bai Bo ecstatic, further convincing him that he had a chance.
When Bai Bo brought Shen Yue to the players, everyone was astonished, their eyes wide with disbelief.
