Chapter 3 The Fickle Villain's Transformation (3)

Fearing that his persistent pestering would annoy the girl, he ultimately had to purse his thin lips in unwillingness and remain in place.

Back in the classroom, Bai Bo still had a glum expression.

Guan Shan, a lively character, was amused to see him like this.

“You’ve got a long face first thing in the morning. Who’s the blind fool who upset you?”

Bai Bo sat in his seat, restlessly flipping through his books. He felt suffocated without venting his frustration. He turned to Guan Shan and said,

“Why do you think that is? Haven’t I lowered myself enough? Why does she still act so indifferent towards me?”

Guan Shan immediately understood who the “she” he was referring to.

He tutted, “How should I put it? I think that Shen Yue is a bit of a drama queen, and… why are you hitting me!”

Guan Shan covered his arms, which had been hit twice, and stared blankly at the grim-faced Bai Bo.

“You’re the drama queen! Your whole family are drama queens!”

Guan Shan wore an expression as if he had eaten something foul. He wondered why he hadn’t realized Bai Bo was love-struck before.

Too lazy to argue with Bai Bo further, Guan Shan went to find Kaoshan and tapped the shoulder of the boy playing games next to him.

“Brother Wei, do you agree with my opinion?”

The boy playing games with his head down didn’t respond. Guan Shan didn’t dare to call out a second time, as this young master’s temper was notoriously fiery.

After the boy finished a game, Guan Shan glanced sideways and saw two big “defeat” notifications.

Oh dear.

The boy’s expression was unpleasant. He tightly pursed his thin lips and roughly slammed his phone into the desk drawer with a loud bang that attracted many eyes.

The boy had deep-set features, sharp and bright eyes, a slender build, and handsome looks, his face exuding an arrogant and indifferent condescension.

When the boy looked over, Guan Shan quickly waved his hands sheepishly.

“Brother Wei, losing this game has nothing to do with me. I only lightly touched your noble arm.”

Bai Bo found his cowardly demeanor utterly exasperating.

The boy with messy hair and an exceptionally handsome face irritably ran a hand through his hair.

“What do you want?”

As soon as gossip was mentioned, Guan Shan immediately perked up.

“It’s Shen Yue from Class One. Do you know her?”

Wei Jingzhou raised an eyelid, a thoughtful expression appearing on his face. After a moment, he asked, “Who is Shen Yue?”

Guan Shan’s eyes widened in surprise, “You don’t even know Shen Yue?!”

Wei Jingzhou’s messy fringe drooped slightly. His narrow eyelids were slightly lowered, appearing casual and languid.

“Should I know her?”

“She’s that girl our Bai Bo has been chasing for a long time. She’s fair-skinned and incredibly beautiful.”

Wei Jingzhou propped his chin on his hand. “I seem to have some impression.”

Guan Shan lowered his voice and said, “I think she’s stringing our Bai Bo along.”

Bai Bo shot him a dagger-like look.

“I heard everything. You better not talk nonsense.”

Guan Shan muttered quietly.

“I’m not saying anything wrong.”

The teacher walked in with a textbook, and the previously noisy classroom fell silent.

The sun was out in the afternoon, but the snow on the basketball court had not yet melted. It was finally decided that the basketball game would be held on the indoor court.

The boys on the basketball court were all tall, but Wei Jingzhou still stood out from the crowd. He was taller than all of them, with a tall and strong build, and his chiseled face was even more striking.

As soon as the referee’s whistle blew, the game began.

Many people didn’t understand basketball very well, but they could all tell that Wei Jingzhou was very skilled, and his movements were very stylish.

He darted past a defender like lightning, raised the ball high with both hands, leaped upward, and accurately shot it into the hoop.

Thunderous cheers erupted from the audience, and they even began to chant Wei Jingzhou’s name.

The men and players high-fived each other one by one. He directly used his jersey to wipe the sweat from his face. The fleeting abs were well-defined, each muscle looking sculpted and beautiful. The hormones were practically overflowing, making many girls blush.

Bai Bo, however, was somewhat distracted, lacking energy even while playing.

His shoulder was suddenly touched, and Guan Shan’s voice came to his ear.

“Hey, look, isn’t that the Shen Yue you’ve been longing for?”

Bai Bo immediately looked up and saw that familiar figure. His stern expression instantly softened, replaced by surprised joy.

He saw Shen Yue sitting in the front row of the audience seats. She sat there, so pure and tender, like a budding water lily, unstained and pure. Her black scarf made her face appear even smaller and more delicate.

Amidst the shouting and clamor, she awkwardly hugged her arms and looked around at the court.

【Which one is the main villain? There are so many people here.】

Shen Yue had originally decided to go home, but the system suddenly said that the villain was playing basketball on the court. Since he was a mission target, she felt it necessary to take a look and gather some information.

System: 【It’s the tallest, the most handsome one, wearing a black jersey with the number 13 on it.】

Shen Yue easily found the person and fell silent upon seeing his height and appearance.

【Do you think… it’s reasonable for me to bully someone like this?】

The main villain was tall and imposing, half a head taller than the other boys. Shen Yue wasn’t even sure if she reached the villain’s shoulder.

With her small stature, the main villain could easily crush her with a single finger. Did she really have to humiliate herself by going over to get beaten?

Who was bullying whom, anyway?

The system said: 【Who said bullying necessarily involves violence? You can play with his feelings.】

Shen Yue flatly refused.

【Impossible! Absolutely impossible!】

【Listen to me first. The main villain is still in his formative years. His methods and schemes are still very immature. He’s already in college but is unlearned and mediocre. In less than half a year, his parents will be framed and die in a car accident. He’ll be left alone and helpless, and I fear he won’t be able to endure it, being devoured by those jackals and hyenas, leaving nothing but dregs. The potential of this main villain will be stifled in the cradle.】

Shen Yue didn’t quite understand what this had to do with her bullying the main villain.

【You are to play with the main villain’s emotions to help him grow rapidly. As long as he has an extremely powerful obsession, he will definitely persevere. The main villain must have a particularly tragic and painful past, otherwise, how can he grow into a true main villain?】

Shen Yue understood.

【So the main villain’s obsession is to kill me.】

The system said cheerfully: 【Burning oneself to illuminate others, what’s this little bit of pain?】

Shen Yue: …

Seeing that Shen Yue seemed unhappy, the system coaxed her: 【Our little villain is in this line of work. If you really dislike it, I’ll let you be a big villain in the next world.】
