Chapter 123: Ch 123 : New Entries ²
With a single, focused thought, Sunny’s will surged through the 136 divine embryos. They twitched in unison, their formless energy coalescing into the shapes of their destined races.
Into each, he etched the talent to copy the powers of their kin every two hundred years, a gift for accelerated growth and the talents to give blessings. With another thought, he sent them through portals to the billion new worlds under his protection, each to a planet that housed their respective people. The demigods already on Veridia also returned to their duties, now tasked with guiding not just one world, but an entire universe of lifeforms.
Sunny leaned back on his throne and glanced at his faith reserves. He let out a low whistle. "If being rich is a crime," he chuckled to himself, "then I’d already be in jail for life."

The twenty-five trillion he had before creating the new demigods hadn’t dropped at all. In fact, it had increased by a trillion. The sheer spending power of 5.5 billion subordinate Gods using his Cosmic Shop was a revenue stream so vast it was almost absurd.
"It’s really lonely at the top," he was about to boast more about his richness in his empty God space, but the thought was suddenly cut short by a flash of memory: the slimy, corrosive aura of Ichor, the Demon Lord. "Why does that bastard have to pop into my head and ruin my mood?" Sunny screamed internally. He knew it was his intuition, a sharp, unwelcome reminder that he couldn’t afford to rest. Power was a shield, and his wasn’t nearly thick enough yet.
"But what can I even do?" A long-lost idea, born in the early days of his godhood, resurfaced. "Demigods for every element..." Back then, he didn’t have the capital. Now, he had the capital and a terrifyingly good reason.
He didn’t hesitate. He reached into the very concepts of the cosmos. He created multiple divine embryos and etched them with the elements present in Veridia and the other 5.5 billion world.
He gathered the essence of Fire, and from it, pulled a being of pure, sentient flame. He whispered to the oceans of a billion worlds, and a consciousness of the deep awakened, a demigod of Water. He did the same for Earth and Air, giving form to the unformed. Then he continued, creating demigods for Light, Lightning, Ice, Darkness, Metal, Nature, Sound, Poison, Chaos, Gravity, and Blood.
They were not beings of flesh, but ethereal entities like Umbra, formless and omnipresent. Wherever there was fire in his territory, the demigod of fire would be there. Wherever there was water, the demigod of water would be there. He gave each of them two innate talents: absolute control over their element, and the ability to grant blessings.
He checked his faith. "Only 2 trillions used? I still have 24 trillion," he sighed. He needed to think bigger.
His eyes fell upon the worlds below. He looked at the majestic mountains of Veridia, the sprawling forests, the winding rivers. His mind, now a storm of creative energy, began to wander. He raised his hand again. He created a demigod for the Forests; a guardian made up of the ancient woods. He created one for the Deserts, a spirit of the sun-scorched sands. He forged demigods for the Rivers, the Lakes, the Oceans, the Swamps, and the Glaciers, giving each a consciousness and a purpose.
Then, an epiphany struck him. A world needed more than just fire and mountains. A civilization needed concepts. He waved his hand again, and more demigods sprang into existence: a demigod of the Harvest, of Rain, of Travel, of Blizzards. His mind and hands worked like a divine machine, pumping out demigods as if they were candies being made in a factory.
In a matter of minutes, he had added 37 elemental demigods, 22 domain demigods, and 46 auxiliary demigods into his demigod list. He checked his faith again. Only another 2 trillion lost. He still had over 20 trillion left.
"Now what should I do?" he wondered, a strange sense of emptiness settling in. His thoughts drifted to the past, to the great war Adam had spoken of, and his new Time Affinity talent. "Can I see the past?"
He focused his mind, pulling on the threads of his new power. Instantly, his soul felt like it was being pulled through a vortex, ripped from his physical form.
He opened his spiritual eyes and found himself floating in a river. But it wasn’t a river of water; it was a river of moments. He saw everything: the creation of the multiverse, the rise and fall of ancient stars, the birth of his own lifeforms, and even fleeting, confusing glimpses of futures yet to come.
But it was a chaotic torrent of images, a story without order. He tried to focus on the war between the old Gods and the Demon Lords, but the scenes were fragmented, meaningless.
Suddenly, an idea sparked in his consciousness. What if I use... the God’s Eye on the river of time itself?
Entering this river had already costed him 700 billion faith points. He didn’t know what the cost of this new experiment would be, but he didn’t care. He focused his God’s Eye onto the chaotic torrent of the river of Time.
Instantly, the chaos resolved. The river became a coherent stream, flowing backward at his command. He saw his own recent creations, then the moment he first opened his eyes in front of Veridia. He checked the faith consumption: for every year he traveled back, it cost a mere 100 faith points. The great war was 1.2 million years ago.
"I just need to spend a few hundred million faith to see the entire war?" he thought, a triumphant grin spreading across his face. "Isn’t that a steal?"
Sunny wasn’t able to hide his curiosity to know of the reason behind the fall of the old gods and the schemes of demons, as it will help him in the future by a lot.
