Chapter 71: Back to Caelmaris (1)
"So what’s the next move from here?" Ghost asks while sitting down on one of the chairs.
Everyone seems to be looking at me right now so what would the best answer be right now? I got it. "We’ll head back to Caelmaris to get some information at the Aetherion hall. We also have to turn in the quest anyway." I answer confidently before taking a seat myself.
I also didn’t notice it at first but Ghost, Lilly, and Velia all have a change of clothes finally which makes them all look quite nice. Akina really is great to have around.
Akina gets up close to me, almost in my face. "Who is staying here Mr. Dragon?" She asks with a smirk across her face.
I scratch my chin for a second as the thoughts pass my mind. "Mira, Velia, and you can stay behind temporarily. The hunters at Caelmaris are a lot more likely to ask questions than the ones here in Ashvalis." I respond while keeping a calm tone.
Scruff. I feel her fingers run through my hair briefly before she takes a few steps back away from me. "Sounds like a good idea for now." Akina says with a carefree tone before taking a seat herself.
I’m glad she didn’t get upset about me choosing to leave the three of them here until we get back. Velia didn’t seem to have much to say about it either which surprises me but it makes it easier.
Bringing just Ghost and Lilly will be enough to get some information before turning in the quest. Since technically we dealt with the humanoid monster that roamed through the wasteland.
I’m also stuck on the feeling I just experienced a few moments ago too though... The feeling of a woman’s fingers running through my hair is a lot nicer than I expected it to be.
She did it out of nowhere too which is the part that caught me off guard but maybe it was a tease to get me to bring her.
"Originally Trio is back! Woohoo!" Lilly shouts with excitement as she lifts a hand into the air.
Lilly’s new outfit was a pair of black pants, black shoes, and a baggy black hoodie. Seems that Akina gave her more of a casual appearance now instead of her tattered one.
While Ghost seems to be wearing an all black dress with sleeves that cover her arms perfectly, stockings, and a black pair of shoes.
Safe to say that they both look beautiful, especially with the new outfits that they were given. Seeing Ghost in a dress is definitely interesting but I think it suits her quite well in all honesty.
Lilly’s baggy clothes kind of seem to hide her best features a bit but I shouldn’t be gazing at her with such a perverted manner all the time anyway.

I wouldn’t say that I deny it necessarily but I’m just not used to being around so many beautiful girls. Plus I keep telling you that I’ve been by myself for a majority of the time so it’s hard not to take a few glances occasionally.
No need to justify yourself. Hehe. I’m sure you’d glance at me too if I was around.
Damnit... I’m not that big of a pervert but again it is something that feels impossible for me to just ignore. I think you are quite pretty as well so of course my eyes would fall on you from time to time.
Poke. I feel something poke my cheek as my conversation with Rika is interrupted. "Huh?" I question while turning to see who it is.
As I turn I’m met face to face with Ghost who is just staring at me. "I really am glad you’re back, could you... Check me out? Just make sure everything is proper before we leave?" Ghost asks with a bit of an embarrassed tone in her voice, slightly blushing.
Pat. Pat. After patting her head I brought her over to where the computer is and hooked everything up. "Of course, it has been awhile." I respond with a kind tone.
Looking at the computer everything seems to be functioning as it should, I felt like I haven’t worked at a computer in forever.

Limbs.... Functional
Fluids.... Circulating properly.
Heart... Functional.
Memory Core... Functional.
All Necessary functions are working properly.

"Everything seems to be working properly." I say with a smile.
Ghost let’s out a sigh of relief as she begins to unhook the cables. "I’m glad, I get a bit worried from time to time." Ghost responds as she continues to unhook the cables.
I help her finish unhooking them before gesturing over to Lilly to come here. "We should head out while the sun is up so we don’t have any problems." I say while glancing out the window.
The sun was still beaming down on the junkyard which is always a good sight to see. No monsters were roaming about so we didn’t have to worry about right now, just leaving before it gets dark.
Even if monsters weren’t an issue... It’s better to avoid a conflict or showing my power. Hiding the scales, wings, and even the talons is definitely quite the challenge.
"Rokuro it is nice to see that you aren’t such an obvious dragon anymore." Lilly says while staring at me closely.
"The tower helped out in a lot of ways." I reply while looking down at my hands.
It definitely helped me understand my power a bit more and that I can control everything better than before. I won’t be letting the appearance show as much when I’m out where hunters can see me.
I’d rather it come out in a way where I won’t be seen as a monster by them since I don’t want to kill anyone for no reason. Especially not hunters since they do help keep everyone safe.
