The gaping void swallowed Yege, closing shut at the moment he was about to be struck, causing the golden ring to narrowly miss.
Tyche, seeing Yege's trembling skeletal frame, sent him back through a portal without a word.
Amanata, enduring weakness, joined forces with Shar to meet the enemy. Fortunately, the continuous use of the Tablets of Fate had placed a severe burden on Ao, and the already cracked Tablets of Fate showed conspicuous gaps, almost splitting in two.
Tyche manipulated the void formed by the Cycle divine position, entangling the continuously spinning golden ring. If it had been Shar or Yege, they would never have been able to leave it behind so easily!
This was a treasure formed by Ao's mastery of the rules of the domain combined with some authority of the Prime Material Plane, and it was the key to Ao being able to bear the immense power of the many creator gods of the Prime Material Plane.
Tyche had tried to transport the golden ring to the depths of the origin to be suppressed by the laws, but the broken laws were powerless to stop Ao from recalling the golden ring, and even allowed Ao to seize Amanata with this opportunity.
The battle resumed, and Tyche, following suit, used the Spear of the Heavens to threaten the Reincarnators, forcing them to return; however, when the laws wanted to expel Ao in one go, Tyche's support immediately diminished, leaving the laws powerless to support the ancient gods.
After Shar had also returned to the origin and been reborn twice, a truce was finally called between the two sides. The Reincarnators were paid to do their job, and Tyche's disruption of the connection to the Prime Material Plane was enough to alarm them. The moment the truce was called, they quickly detached themselves from the world and returned.
The deities who were not qualified to intervene were summoned to the Pantheon. Ao finally began to feel the pinch of the rewards paid for summoning the Reincarnators and turned his attention to the powerful deities.
Tyche and Corellon ignored Ao's summons and did not accept the invitation extended by the laws.
Tyche had reclaimed the authority belonging to the laws from the other gods with the emergence of the Cycle divine position. The gods who had lost their supplicants would not wish to see her, and Tyche would not seek trouble, continuing to diligently cultivate the Abyss and Hell.
The lesser and faint deities feared the Tablets of Fate in Ao's hands, but the powerful deities all had their own agendas. While sending avatars to the Pantheon, more avatars began to contact several ancient gods, hoping to use this opportunity to advance further.
Hell had annexed multiple layers of abyssal planes, its area now far exceeding that of the Underworld and Asgard.
Tyche sat on her throne, receiving visits from three ancient gods.
"My request is simple: I want sovereignty over the Abyss."
Tyche looked at the glib Shar with a smiling face, "We all know how Mystra failed her ascension. I don't want to become a stepping stone like her."
"But you already have Hell, don't you? That is enough to show the sincerity of the laws," Shar said with a stiff smile, hinting at Yege with her eyes to speak.
"That is what I deserve," Tyche said, unconcerned by their exchanged glances. "I created the Cycle divine position to assist the laws, and this is the reward I have earned! It's more than enough that I didn't take the opportunity to seize the domain of death and interfere with Yege's ascension!"
"Speaking of sincerity, you should ask His Highness Yege, whom I saved twice! If I'm not mistaken, your collective ascension was his idea, wasn't it?"
Tyche looked at Yege with a half-smile, "What? You calculated that I wouldn't side with Ao, and that the laws wouldn't stand by and watch the divine position of death be lost, so you started this war disregarding my interests? I'm not as foolish as Bane and Bhaal, unaware that I'm a pawn being manipulated! You'd better find a reasonable excuse to quell my anger!"
Yege remained motionless, showing no intention of defending himself; however, Amanata, clad in Loviatar's guise, was somewhat indignant, glaring at Tyche, who was full of sarcasm and mockery.
"I am well aware of your intentions."
Tyche's gaze turned slightly cold, and she unceremoniously removed the fig leaf, "I've already said that I won't take away your control over the domain of death, but you still made this choice!"
The Cycle divine position was more favored by the laws than pure death. Yege did not want to be controlled by the Cycle divine position and made a last gamble before Tyche activated it! By becoming an ancient god, he would separate the domain of death from the origin, no longer subject to the restrictions of the Cycle divine position.
The atmosphere grew increasingly frigid, and Shar had to jump in again to smooth things over.
"Your Highness Tyche, isn't Ao still our greatest threat? Since you ultimately chose to stand with us, Ao has already regarded you as an enemy! We all have common interests now. Let's not dwell on past misunderstandings. If we cannot unite and cooperate, Ao will defeat us one by one, and then it will be too late."
Seeing Tyche's expression soften, Shar continued, "Of course, Yege will do his best to compensate for your losses. Hell now belongs to you, and with the help of Yege, who controls the Underworld, the Abyss will eventually be annexed by Hell! The Cycle divine position is crucial for the perfection of the world, and you don't need to worry about the laws abandoning you."
Shar's implication was that Tyche should exert herself to replace Selûne, and by showing her importance to the laws, she would have the conditions to demand control of the Abyss. However, Tyche did not believe Shar's assurances. After the laws dealt with Ao, it would be her turn and Corellon's. Even with the Cycle divine position and control of Hell, she would still be suppressed and become a marginal figure.
"Please leave, the three of you."
Tyche put on a polite smile, "Give me the Abyss, or nothing else."
Shar could no longer maintain her smile and said sternly, "Have you thought it through? Without our help, you are no match for Ao."
"Perhaps," Tyche leaned lazily on her throne, and a still-trembling black watch appeared in her hand.
"You should worry about yourselves more. I have a fallback, but you don't."
The aura of the watch was very similar to the golden ring used by Ao. The faces of the three ancient gods changed instantly, and they looked at Tyche, who was fiddling with the watch, with apprehension.
"Guess whether Ao will believe my surrender?"
This watch was the contribution of a Reincarnator who had wanted to spread the T-virus but was captured by Tyche. Tyche used the points she obtained from the treasure chest that appeared after his death to exchange for this watch.
"Alright, your time is running out, so there's no need to waste it on me."
Waving her hand impatiently, a dark void whisked the visitors out of Hell in the blink of an eye.
