Chapter 11 Intermediate Divine Power

The Meteor Goddess described the scene to Tyche in detail, "Rhea, despite her weakness from childbirth, stubbornly wanted to reclaim her daughter, even discarding the Queen's crown."

"She angrily pushed the King of the Gods, and after being knocked down by Kronos time and again, she got back up, letting the dirt stain her robes. The power of the two main gods destroyed the temples of the gods on Mount Othrys, which greatly displeased the gods."

"She is a good mother!" Tyche sighed, unable to listen further, "If she had a choice, I think she would have sacrificed her queenly honor for her child."

Asteria looked at the sad Tyche and seemed to understand something, "So you sent down heavy rain to cover Rhea's cries." Her thoughtful gaze fixed on Tyche, "Kind Tyche, what have you learned?"

Tyche, not understanding, continued to try and persuade Asteria, "What the King of the Gods did has broken Rhea's heart. The power of time has since moved in opposite directions." She paused, then said softly, "I would not be surprised by anything Rhea, in her anger, might do. If she breaks with the King of the Gods or even becomes his enemy, our peaceful days will be over."

Unexpectedly, the Meteor Goddess looked at Tyche with a very peculiar gaze, making Tyche feel somewhat uneasy. Straightening her robes, Tyche couldn't help but ask, "My dear friend, why are you looking at me like that?"

The Meteor Goddess's face was more serious than ever. She lightly touched her lips, and Asteria issued a warning, "Wise Tyche, your foresight and wisdom are admirable! I think you are more suited to possess the divine nature of prophecy, but some things cannot be spoken, regardless of whether they come true."

"Remember, witnessing the truth of fate comes at a price!"

Asteria left in a hurry, leaving Tyche stunned on the spot. Phoebe was the Titan god in charge of prophecy. With the Fates not yet born, she was almost the strongest existence on the side of fate. To think that she, Tyche, had assumed Phoebe could not fathom the future – how arrogant and foolish she had been!

After reflecting, Tyche calmed down. Asteria's reminder before leaving indicated that she had also learned some future secrets from Phoebe. She wondered what their choices would be. It was easy for two powerful main gods to protect two lesser gods.

After thinking for a moment, Tyche felt it best to remain neutral in the future war of the gods. After all, the main battlefield was on land, and the power of the sea gods should not be underestimated. However, this would mean that her sisters who held regional divine positions in lakes and rivers would have to give up their divine positions and return to the sea to become nymphs to ensure their safety. But would they be willing to give up their divine positions? Putting herself in their shoes, Tyche felt she would not give up the power in her hands. This was probably one of the reasons Metis married Zeus. The sea gods had bet on the new gods like Zeus.

After an unknown amount of time passed, whenever Tyche spread clouds, she would pay attention to the trajectory of meteors. Unfortunately, meteors had not appeared in the night sky for a long time.

The rosy Eos opened the gates of heaven, and Helios drove his chariot across the sky. The Moon Goddess and the Night Goddess, having finished their night's work, arrived together. Tyche took out the magnificent robes she had made for the two goddesses and offered them, inquiring about the whereabouts of the Meteor Goddess. The two goddesses exchanged glances, and finally, Leto spoke, "I do not know where my sister is, but you need not worry. My father, Coeus, the god of the celestial bodies and darkness, is dividing the power of the stars for her. Coupled with the divine position of astronomy bestowed by our mother, she is likely in slumber, absorbing this power."

Tyche was startled and quickly asked, "Is she preparing for a divine power level?"

Leto nodded, "If all goes well, she will become the Starry Night Goddess, in charge of stars and astrology."

Tyche then breathed a sigh of relief and sincerely expressed her happiness for her friend. Leto promised to inform her once Asteria awoke. The Night Goddess nodded in agreement, left her thanks, and departed with the Moon Goddess. Leto's gift was a mass of black mist that, when unfurled, could shroud an entire island, silencing all sounds within its range, leaving only stillness. The Moon God, Selene, left a pot of moonlight that resembled water. When poured into a pond, the clear water became luminous, emitting a soft moonlight.

With Asteria's issue resolved, Tyche felt much lighter. The next time they met, she would have to address her as Your Highness, a privilege of middle divine power. Only those with middle divine power could have subordinate and vassal gods, and all other gods had to respect their opinions; even the King of the Gods could not easily punish those with middle divine power.

With each sunrise and sunset, Tyche followed the guidance of her divinity to fulfill her corresponding divine duties. Her divine duties of clouds and rain merged more and more perfectly, but the urging of the laws also grew stronger. Tyche vaguely felt that the opportunity for her advancement lay within the call of the laws, but she could not understand what the laws wanted her to do.

It was not until this day that the power of ocean currents could operate independently. From then on, the warm seawater on the surface would naturally flow to the cold seabed, bringing the cold seawater back to the surface. Tyche's power was strengthened once again, and ocean currents became a natural phenomenon that Tyche no longer needed to actively drive. Tyche was freed from the duty of driving ocean currents.

Excited, Tyche leaped in the seawater, feeling the gently flowing currents brush past her. The origin of water once again opened its arms to embrace the master of ocean currents. More divine positions appeared in the sea of primeval forces. Tyche attempted to establish connections with these divine positions, but received only a few responses. Before Tyche could feel disappointed, the divine position of temperature detached itself from the divine position of ocean currents and attached itself to the incomplete divine position of climate, forming an inexplicable attraction.

In an instant, the number of divine positions connected to Tyche surged. Several light blue divine positions were eager to emerge, and before Tyche withdrew from the sea of primeval forces, they fell into her hands.

The divine positions of cold, snowfall, frost, and ice appeared successively. The favor of the origin surrounded Tyche. The divine position of temperature radiated divine power, transforming ice to water and water to mist, mastering the three states of water. The origin of water participated in shaping this divinity, polishing it to perfection. The divine positions of snowfall and frost merged with rain and clouds, completing the incomplete divine position of climate.

The water cycle and climate, two divine positions, simultaneously advanced to middle divine power. Tyche had truly established a foothold in this world!
