Chapter 638: Different Abilities
Dacheng was worried that Bai Feng would join Yu Miaomiao because of Bai Xue; thus, he immediately sent this letter to Lei Qian and Bai Meiyue.
"Are you going to attack the safe base then?" Lei Qian asked. He, too, was worried about what decision Bai Feng would make; in the past, he didn’t hesitate to attack Bai Meiyue for Bai Xue. Would that man stay put now that Bai Xue had joined Yu Miaomiao again?
Bai Meiyue scoffed and crumpled the letter. She threw it in the trash can and said in a quiet voice, "I am not going to make a move. This matter has nothing to do with us for the time being."
Bai Meiyue knew that Dacheng and Lu Yin were banking on the fact that Bai Meiyue wanted to keep her son safe. They believed that as long as they continued to pull Bai Meiyue along by using the threats that Yu Miaomiao might bring to Bai Meiyue and her child, they would be able to get Bai Meiyue to join hands with them. But Bai Meiyue had no such desire!
They might think that Bai Meiyue was not paying attention to the situation at the safe base, but she was. And she knew that with the current situation, even someone as Bai Feng wouldn’t be able to leave the safe base with the mutated bugs flying all over the place. And yet Dacheng could send these letters out to them whenever he wanted. What did this prove? It meant that the ability user who could control those mutated bugs was quite capable. If they wanted, they could easily drive those mutated bugs out.
Why won’t they move the mutated bugs? Wasn’t it because they wanted to make sure that all the ability users would fall into their lap after the war was over? Making them more powerful than Bai Meiyue and Lei Qian. By not making a move and pushing the responsibility into her lap, those two just wanted to take all the benefits at the end of the battle.
But was Bai Meiyue so stupid that she would do whatever they wanted? She was not going to become a weapon in the hands of someone else. Not ever again.
Lei Qian nodded; he, too, had the same thought in his mind. Those two were playing a rather safe game, and he wasn’t willing to play along with them.
That night, the two of them retired and went to sleep, but in the middle of the night, Bai Meiyue felt a weird energy floating all over the mansion. The energy was so strong that she couldn’t sleep and felt suffocated. She sat up straight and gasped when she realised that the energy was coming from the room where she had locked up the energy ball of the Meng siblings. She frowned and slowly got to her feet.
Master, watch your eyes; there is chaos outside.
It was more than just chaos. The second Bai Meiyue walked outside the mansion, and she saw many men tied to trees. Bai Jixuan was sitting at the threshold of the mansion and watching the men struggle as if they were about to break free from the restraints.
"What’s going on?" Bai Meiyue asked as she looked at her second brother.
"Yueyue, why are you awake?" Bai Jixuan asked. He got to his feet and then rushed toward Bai Meiyue. He looked at his sister and said to her, "Were you woken up by these bastards?" He turned around and glared at the men who were howling like dogs in heat.
Bai Meiyue shook her head, as she was worried that if she dared to say yes, her brother would turn these men into eunuchs. It was already inhumane that they had to turn all the male chickens, goats and pigs into eunuchs; if they turned these men into one as well, then they might be straight-up acting like tyrants.
"It’s nothing like that; I sensed a flow of energy and came out to see," Bai Meiyue said to her brother. When she heard the men’s howl getting even louder, she frowned and shot a wave of ice energy at them, turning their lower bodies into icicles. As soon as her energy hit those men who were moaning and yelling for women to come to them and serve them, they immediately turned silent and started begging for mercy. Of course, Bai Meiyue didn’t let go of them. Who knows how many aphrodisiacs these men smelled? What if they attacked the women in the safe base if they let go of them?
Bai Meiyue then turned to look at Bai Jixuan and said to him, "Let’s go and take a look at the condition of the energy ball."
However, as she made her way to the small room where she had placed the energy ball, she realised that there were a few strange men whom she had never seen. At the moment, they were completely naked and doing all kinds of things with one another. The sight was as spicy as it could get!
"What are you doing!?" Lei Qian, who came looking for Bai Meiyue when he heard that there was a mess going on in the manor where she was living, was stunned when he saw the shocking sight taking place in front of him. He charged ahead and kicked one of the men in the back before covering Bai Meiyue’s eyes with his hands. He looked at the men in front of him and said to Wan Guofu, "Catch them and take these bastards to the questioning room. Who are they and what are they even doing here?"
He had seen these men lurking around the main mansion, but they were not allowed to step inside. The fact that these men snuck inside proved that there was something weird going on.
Wan Guofu: "..."
So I am only of this use now? Dragging frenzied, naked men?
Wan Guofu shot a rather dirty look at Lei Qian, nonetheless dragged the naked men away with Mo He.
