During the day, just as Shido had expected, both Rumia and Mahiru seemed unusually awkward when they faced him and Frieren. While Shido simply ignore their reactions, acting as if nothing had happened, Frieren was different. Her brows furrowed slightly, looking confused at the strangeness of their expression.
The four of them sat together in the dining area, quietly eating their breakfast. However, Frieren who was frank couldn't help but ask Rumia and Mahiru "What's wrong with you two? You've been staring at me for quite a while now. Do I have crumbs on my mouth?"
As she said that, Frieren stuck out her cute pink tongue and lightly licked the corners of her lips, trying to check if there were crumbs of bread. However, they deliberate action of her caused Rumia and Mahiru's cheeks to turn crimson red as they remembered what happened yesterday.
Even Shido nearly choked when he saw Frieren's action, so he hurriedly grabbed a cup of coffee to clear his throat.
Despite feeling embarrassed and awkward, Rumia still managed to say, "I-It's okay, Frieren-san. You don't have any crumbs on your mouth."
"Hmm? Is that so?" Frieren narrowed her eyes for a moment before returning to normal. She then quietly savored her meal with delight and took a sip of milk. But being a little clumsy, some of it spilled over her lips and trickled down her neck.
Frieren set the glass of milk back on the table and pressed her lips together under Shido, Rumia, and Mahiru's dumbfounded gazes. With a small pout, she said, "Geez, this milk is so naughty…"
Saying that, she picked up a napkin and lightly dabbed at the corner of her mouth.
But as she wiped, she noticed the three of them staring at her with strange expressions. Tilting her head, she asked, "Hmm? What's wrong?"

The three of them simply shook their head before returning back to their own breakfast. Frieren raised an eyebrow and wondered what was wrong with them today however she was too lazy to bother them so like the three, she also focused on eating her breakfast.
After breakfast, Mahiru thanked Shido, Rumia, and even Frieren for their hospitality before heading back to her apartment. Once she left, the three gathered in the living room, where Shido began explaining his current plan.
Rumia and Frieren listened carefully to Shido's words, taking note of the details. Among the things he mentioned, he explained that he would be entering another world today, and depending on the available participant, one or both of them might be able to come with him.
This surprised them since it will be the first they would see Shido actually using his ability to travel world. After all, back in the Overlord world, Shido had summoned them directly, so they had never experienced what it felt like to cross into another dimension.
But they quickly understood Shido's explanation and nodded. Yet, Shido had one more thing to say, something even more shocking than traveling to another world.
His girlfriend was coming to their apartment today.
This was the first time either of the girls had heard that Shido had a girlfriend. Well, they weren't exactly shocked, after all, both Rumia and Frieren had seen and experienced a lot together, but they were curious about this mysterious girlfriend of his.
Rumia couldn't help but glance at Frieren, who maintained her usual composure while watching the television. Then she turned her eyes toward Shido, wondering how he would introduce them to his girlfriend.

It didn't take Shido long to finish his preparations. After setting this and that in order, he was finally ready to go. Of course, he hadn't forgotten to secure [Aincrad], just in case he traveled to another fantasy world.
After flying to [Aincrad], Shido placed it inside the [Gates of Babylon]. A massive golden ripple appeared in the sky where [Aincrad] was supposed to enter. Fortunately, Shido laid a massive barrier that can also block both sight and interference, so the process went smoothly.
Shido returned to the apartment and stood in front of Rumia and Frieren.
Frieren was still a bit curious about Shido's [World Travel] so she asked "You said before that depending on the number of participant, we can also go with you right?"
Shido nodded and said "That's right. It could be one, two, or even ten. Hopefully, the number won't be higher than what we have now."
"Your right." Frieren nodded at Shido's words.
"Shido-san, what about your original world?" Rumia asked, her eyes shining with curiosity. "You said before that you can travel freely to the worlds you've completed, right? Then… is it possible for the three of us to go there?"
After all, the concept of another world was still mysterious to her, even though she was currently in one.
Shido looked at Rumia for a moment before nodding. "Yes, we can go there right now, but…"

Rumia and Frieren grew curious as they noticed Shido's expression flicker strangely for a moment. Still, they stayed silent, waiting for him to continue.
"…But, if possible, I don't want to go back until I've gained enough power. After all, I want to have absolute strength is I want to stop 'her'."
As Shido thought of 'her', a wry smile tugged at his lips. He knew how stubborn she could be, how far she would go to achieve her goals. She wouldn't even hesitate to use the lives of millions of humans to achieve it. But 'her' determination would only lead to her own downfall, so Shido would stop her.
He would stop and defeat her completely that she wouldn't think about the past and anything anymore other than him.
Shido might sound domineering, but it was 'her' we're talking about. The concept of reason almost doesn't appear in her vocabulary.

Rumia and Frieren were baffled by the 'her' Shido mentioned, but they didn't ask any questions. Somehow, they already seemed to understand everything just from that single word.
A helpless smile appeared on their cute faces as they wondered why Shido was such a casanova, having a lover in every world he visited. Then a thought flashed through their minds: if there was only one participant allowed to got to another world, wouldn't it be possible for Shido to make another girl his lover? No… the possibility was very, very high.
No matter what kind of girl she was, she would likely fall for Shido, given his ridiculously high charm. The best example was Frieren, who was once aloof and indifferent toward others and the opposite sex had her heart and body completely conquered by Shido, and Rumia was the witness of that.
Oh, maybe also Tuare and Mahiru.
Shido shook his head and didn't explain to them further then said. "I will activate it now."

The two girls nodded and waited, curious to see how many participants would be available.
Shido opened the system interface and navigated to the [World Travel] menu, which displayed two options. Without hesitation, he pressed [Random World].
Then the number of participants appeared, but the two girls' faces fell when they saw it. Shido sighed as well, there was only one participant. Still, it was better than four or more, since they didn't have enough members yet.
Looking away from the interface, Shido turned to the disappointed Rumia and Frieren. He gently patted their heads and said, "Don't worry too much. There will be more chances in the future, and I'll be back before you even realize it."
Indeed, as Shido had said, for him, traveling to another world might take a long time. But for those left behind in the other worlds, it was as if they had just blinked, and then he would return. Of course, that was assuming he completed the quest; if not, there was always the chance that Shido might never come back.
Feeling the warmth of his hands, the two girls finally regained their smiles and said, "Be careful, Shido-san."
"Un. Be careful. And… don't flirt too much with girls."
Shido nodded when he listen to Frieren's first sentence, but he couldn't help feeling slightly embarrassed when Frieren added the second part.
"Alright, then. I'll go now. I'll be back shortly."
"Un. Be careful." 2x
As Rumia and Frieren said that Shido had already gone to another world.
