In an empty warehouse, planks were stacked everywhere, along with some old furniture and iron barrels emitting a foul odor.
Bai Ye waved his hand, sweeping away the dust that swirled around, and found an open space in the center.
This was an abandoned warehouse. Bai Ye thought it was a good place for a summoning ritual, as it was unlikely to be discovered by other chosen ones.
Bai Ye set up the summoning ritual on the ground and waited to see what kind of Servant would appear.
Soon...
The magic array began to glow, dimly at first, then gradually intensifying until...
The golden light seemed to explode, filling the entire warehouse.
Within the golden radiance, a man clad in armor strode out.
In that instant, Bai Ye felt his vision blur.
His armor was made of brilliant, golden material with black stripes, appearing incredibly dazzling in the dim warehouse.
The owner of the armor possessed an extremely handsome face, with features as exquisitely chiseled as if carved by an ax and chisel. His short, golden hair was combed back, giving him a sharp, capable look. Golden earrings hung from his ears, also seemingly made of pure gold.
Bai Ye clicked his tongue a couple of times.
This attire, entirely made of gold, was the epitome of a nouveau riche's taste. However, the man wore it without appearing tacky or like a nouveau riche.
Indeed, if you're handsome, anything works.
As Bai Ye made a sound, the man's gaze fell upon him.
"Mongrel!" the man said disdainfully, looking at Bai Ye. "Are you my master?"
Bai Ye pointed to himself, doubting his ears. What had this guy just called him?
The man glanced around, a look of disgust on his face. "This place is too dirty. It doesn't befit my status as a king. I want somewhere cleaner."
"Hey, I summoned you to fight," Bai Ye said, displeased. "Do you think you're here for a vacation?"
The man stared at Bai Ye. "Mongrel, do you know who you're talking to? You must kneel when you face a king!"
Bai Ye raised his hand, pointing to the magic inscription on his hand. "Do you know who you're talking to? I am the one who can make kings kneel!"
The man was instantly enraged. "You dare threaten me?"
Bai Ye replied, "Want to try?"
The man sneered. "Three command seals, meaning you only have three chances to command me. So, you intend to waste such a precious opportunity on this? Aren't you going to have me eliminate your enemies?"
"It's fine," Bai Ye said. "Even without you, I can defeat them myself. So, adjust your attitude and think before you speak to me, or I can make you kneel three times."
The man's gaze locked onto Bai Ye.
After a moment, the man suddenly laughed and walked to a dilapidated sofa, sitting down and resting his arms on the backrest, crossing his legs.
"Very well, since you say so..." the man looked at Bai Ye. "I will watch from here as you deal with the others. I hope you won't beg me to intervene later."
Bai Ye shrugged indifferently. "As you wish!"
Although he had considered that the summoned Servant might have a bad personality, this one was too much.
However, Bai Ye felt it didn't matter.
Without a Servant, he could handle it himself!
I have a gacha machine, I can cheat!
Thinking this, Bai Ye glanced at the screen. It was time. It was better to rely on oneself than others; the gacha machine was the most reliable.
"Gold Gacha!"
Bai Ye decisively used a God's Stone Shard. Immediately, the mechanical whirring sound of the gacha machine echoed, and soon, a golden gacha rolled out.
Bai Ye casually took out the gacha and opened it.
High-Tensile Steel Armor (Item) (Gold): Advanced composite steel, primarily used for the armor plates of the Zaku I (MS-05) practical mobile suit.
Bai Ye felt a cold sweat trickle down his temple.
"Um..." Bai Ye turned to the man, rubbing his hands and smiling apologetically. "Great King, I think it might be too boring for you to come all this way and do nothing, don't you think?"
The man leaned back, propping his face with his hand. "Mongrel, beg me?"
The mocking and sarcastic tone caused Bai Ye's expression to stiffen, and he dropped his smile.
In the next instant, Bai Ye suddenly executed a side kick, sweeping at a nearby iron barrel and sending it flying towards the man.
Clang!
The man raised his hand sharply, deflecting the incoming iron barrel.
"You just wait," Bai Ye said grimly. "See if I can handle things without you."
Bai Ye turned and walked away. Damn it, he couldn't let himself be bullied by a Servant!
This guy was, in essence, just a dead person.
"Wait a moment!" the man suddenly called out to Bai Ye, straightening up. "You are a bit more interesting than I imagined."
As the man spoke, he held up two fingers.
"First, I will not stay in such a dirty place. Second, I require fine food and good wine."
Bai Ye thought for a moment. "Agreed!"
Although the man's attitude displeased Bai Ye, these two conditions were not too difficult.
The man stood up. "Let's go. I never want to stay in a place where maggots dwell again."
After saying this, the man walked directly out of the warehouse.
Bai Ye glanced at the man's retreating back, then looked at the screen.
After all that fuss with the man, he hadn't had time to check his identity.
Gilgamesh (Servant) (King of Heroes): The king of ancient Mesopotamia's Sumerian early dynasty, the protagonist of humanity's oldest epic, the "Epic of Gilgamesh," and humanity's oldest King of Heroes.
"Holy crap!" Bai Ye exclaimed in surprise. "That powerful?"
Bai Ye knew Gilgamesh; in human history, he was an extraordinary figure.
The "Epic of Gilgamesh" was the world's earliest epic, thus its protagonist became the King of Heroes.
The term "King of Heroes" implied that Gilgamesh was the king of all heroes in the world, because, in all recorded myths, figures renowned as heroes could be traced back to Gilgamesh.
After all, no heroic epic predated the "Epic of Gilgamesh."
"No wonder he's so arrogant!" Bai Ye pouted. "With that kind of background, it's hard to deny he has the right to be arrogant."
"Hey, mongrel," Gilgamesh said, turning around haughtily. "Hurry up, what are you dawdling for?"
"Damn it!"
Bai Ye couldn't help but clench his fists and curse.
When the Holy Grail War was over, if he had the chance, he would beat him up, regardless of whether he was the King of Heroes!
