Chapter 118 The Empress

"It has nothing to do with it." The Warrior spread his hands. "According to the intelligence I've gathered, there are three theories about the Ice God Pillar. The first theory is that the Ice God Pillar is entirely composed of ice pillars and cones from Antarctica tens of thousands of years ago, hence the Ice God Pillar has been sleeping in the Antarctic glaciers. The second theory is that within a temple in some desert ruins, Regice, as one of the three guardians, suppresses two extremely destructive and terrifying beast tamers. The third theory is that there is a sacred land for beast tamers called the World Tree of Origin, and the Ice God Pillar is one of its three guardians."

Bai Ye thought for a moment. "The latter two are unlikely. Where would there be a desert here? As for the World Tree of Origin, it's not in this area either."

The Warrior's eyes lit up. "You know where the World Tree of Origin is?"

Bai Ye hooked his lips, realizing he had let something slip.

Bai Ye did indeed know the location of the World Tree of Origin, having been there in his previous life. Moreover, Bai Ye also knew that it housed the pinnacle of beast taming, a mythical beast named Mewtwo, possessing the genetic blueprint of all beast tamers.

However, that was all Bai Ye knew. After all, in his previous life, Bai Ye hadn't focused on beast taming as his primary path to strengthening himself, so he hadn't delved deeply into it.

But knowing was one thing, and Bai Ye had no intention of answering the Warrior, as this was quite valuable intelligence.

"It's my turn to ask questions now," Bai Ye said to the Warrior, "not yours."

The Warrior was perceptive and didn't press further. He continued, "This is the Antarctic glacier, so it aligns with the first theory of those beast tamers: the Ice God Pillar sleeps within the glacier. Then, according to my guess, the place where the Ice God Pillar sleeps might not be far from the Pyramid Ruins!"

Bai Ye asked, "So, the sleeping Ice God Pillar was awakened?"

The Warrior spread his hands. "I think we can go deeper. According to the restricted area mission we received, the Alien Queen should not have been born yet, otherwise, this mission wouldn't be divided into two parts: if born, kill the Queen; if not born, destroy the egg-laying pool and ruin the Queen's embryo. But even if the Alien Queen hasn't been born, her embryo is definitely present, am I right?"

Bai Ye nodded. "Yes, and then?"

"Of course, it needs nourishment," the Warrior said. "There are three ways for Aliens to reproduce: facehuggers, Queens, and Black Goo. When a Queen is born and fuses with a human female's reproductive genes, she can directly give birth to Aliens without the need for facehugger implantation. However, growth still requires a lot of nourishment, especially since the Alien Queen's body is much larger than ordinary Aliens, and reproduction also requires a lot of energy, thus needing more sustenance. So, other Aliens need to go out and collect nutrients."

Bai Ye murmured, "Why does it sound like ants?"

"Precisely," the Warrior said. "Among the three reproductive methods of Aliens, the Queen's reproduction is like that of ants. The Alien Queen is equivalent to the ant queen."

Bai Ye asked, "What about the third reproductive method, Black Goo?"

The Warrior paused, then said, "This is not related to the current situation. Black Goo cannot exist here."

Just as Bai Ye didn't intend to tell the Warrior about the World Tree of Origin, the Warrior undoubtedly knew more about Aliens than Bai Ye. Furthermore, it was not impossible that this information was related to certain areas within the World Battlefield and could become crucial intelligence. Naturally, the Warrior didn't want to easily reveal it to Bai Ye.

Bai Ye said, "So, you believe the Aliens leaving the Pyramid Ruins startled the sleeping Ice God Pillar?"

"Yes, but not just that," the Warrior said. "I believe this is an omen and a guide."

Bai Ye looked puzzled. "Hmm?"

The Warrior asked, "There are no impossible missions, do you agree with this?"

Bai Ye nodded. "I agree."

The World Battlefield was indeed a cruel place of slaughter, but there was no situation where survival was impossible.

For example, the chosen ones from various worlds, when first entering the World Battlefield, would inevitably have advantages and disadvantages. However, regardless of which world they were sent from, there was hope of survival. Neutral zones, for instance, were clearly prepared for chosen ones with less combat ability.

Missions were also like this; there were no impossible missions, or more directly, missions that couldn't be completed simply wouldn't be triggered. Therefore, any mission that appeared must have a way to be completed, it was merely a matter of difficulty.

The World Battlefield was a death game. If there were situations where death was certain, it should be called a slaughter.

The Warrior continued, "But on the surface, facing the Alien Queen seems like a guaranteed death. According to our Predator data, even the weakest Alien Queen requires a Predator Commander to eliminate, and one must also consider the number of Aliens under the Alien Queen's command. Therefore, I don't believe anyone can currently face the Alien Queen alone and kill her. This is an unreasonable mission."

Bai Ye replied, "Isn't it possible it's still an embryo? If the Alien Queen has completed incubation, of course, it's impossible to deal with, but if it's an embryo, it's possible."

The Warrior nodded. "This is indeed a possibility, but in my understanding, if this were the only option, then killing the Alien Queen shouldn't have been included as a mission objective. Because things that cannot be done should not be part of a mission. Since it can be part of a mission, there must be a way to complete it."

Bai Ye thought for a moment. "You are right."

Aliens and Predators could be dealt with, but an Alien Queen, truly, was an impossible mission at this stage.

This was because the Alien Queen was on par with a Predator Commander. Ordinary Predators only had two high-tech weapons: the cloaking device and the plasma caster. While the cloaking device was auxiliary, the plasma caster, though powerful, was a low-end item among advanced gear, with obvious drawbacks and not insurmountable.

But a Predator Commander...

That was a being whose entire equipment consisted of high-tech weaponry.

Or, to put it more directly, a Predator Commander's equipment started from the level of a "black capsule"!

How could one possibly fight that? The World Battlefield had only been open for two months, and at this stage, such a level was utterly unbeatable.

Therefore, by extension, the Alien Queen was also an unbeatable existence at this stage.

"But..." The Warrior suddenly laughed. "If the Ice God Pillar is here, then it's different!"
