As Huo Rou and Qin Ningyi came downstairs, An An poked his head out from the kitchen.
"Mom!" He automatically filtered out Qin Ningyi, "Wait a moment, An An made something delicious."
Huo Rou also smelled the aroma in the air, like some kind of soup was being brewed.
"Is it soup?" she walked down quickly, a hint of worry in her eyes, "You're still young, be careful."
An An waved his hand, "Auntie is helping me!"
"That's right, I thought it was something fun, but it's cooking!" Qin Feiwan's voice came from the kitchen, sounding quite helpless, "He's truly a mom's devoted fan!"
An An covered his mouth and laughed, not denying it.
Qin Ningyi's lips curled upon hearing this complaint, his thoughts drifting to something else.
He settled Huo Rou on the sofa, got her a laptop to pass the time, and then went into the kitchen to take over as the head chef.
Seeing him enter, Qin Feiwan stuffed a small booklet into his arms, "Here, your son organized a list of tonics. We're making these today!"
Having stayed in the study for almost an entire afternoon, An An had found a bunch of dietary recommendations online and from Shen Wuyou.
She had helped with the organization, and now they had to bring what was on paper to life...
Qin Ningyi smiled and took the small booklet. He flipped through it and found it quite insightful.
"Very thoughtful!" He gave An An a thumbs-up.
An An looked at the timer with a serious face and began assigning tasks, "Dad, quickly follow the list and cook."
With Qin Ningyi overseeing An An's work, Qin Feiwan quickly threw off her apron and left.
"You've really taught An An well," she said to Huo Rou, sitting beside her.
Huo Rou, while operating the computer, said gently, "I've given An An too little; it's rather that he gives me more."
Because of An An, she had found hope.
As she spoke, her fingers moved faster on the keyboard. Qin Feiwan leaned in curiously, looking at the screen full of characters, "What are you doing? Programming?"
"Yes, I got some data last time and haven't had time to process it. I'm writing a filtering program to perform preliminary screening of key information."
Qin Feiwan, though not fully understanding, watched for a while and suddenly found some inspiration.
She grabbed some paper and began sketching designs in a corner.
As the sky darkened and the city lights began to twinkle.
Shen Feng whined and got up from in front of the sofa, walked to the light switch, and jumped up to turn it on.
"Good boy, Shen Feng!" Qin Feiwan praised him generously.
Shen Feng wagged its tail and rubbed against Huo Rou's leg.
"Thank you, Shen Feng." Huo Rou's eyes were incredibly soft.
Actually, she was quite lucky, wasn't she?
The aroma of food filled the air, and she looked towards the kitchen with a smile.
An An happened to be coming out of the kitchen, and meeting Huo Rou's gaze, he smiled exceptionally sweetly, "Mom, dinner is ready!"
Huo Rou nodded and stretched lazily.
She moved the cursor and dumped all the files that had already been deciphered into the program for analysis.
Without asking the housekeeper for help, the four of them brought the dishes to the dining table.
The dishes were astonishingly rich and varied.
Qin Ningyi placed a bowl of soup beside Huo Rou.
A bowl of soup warmed her heart.
After everything that had happened, she hadn't felt much. Now, being treated so attentively by them, the steam from the soup made her eyes mist over.
It was like going back to childhood, when even a minor fall would have someone worried all day. She couldn't even cry out in pain before being hugged and having medicine applied.
She blinked through the mist.
After so many years, she had almost forgotten that she was someone who could feel pain.
Huo Rou lowered her head and took small sips of the soup, as if to hide something.
Qin Ningyi, sensing her sensitivity, reached out and gently stroked her back.
After a long while.
The soup had almost lost its warmth when Huo Rou finally looked up.
Under An An's expectant gaze, she curved her lips, "Delicious."
After dinner, as the family strolled back, Huo Rou heard the program completion notification sound in the living room.
She went to the computer and looked at the extracted information. The words "Walkerbite" appeared with high frequency.

An idea flashed through her mind.
