Chapter 317 Capture the Leader to Capture the Bandit

No one expected her to strike at this moment.

The other side had already become wary. Logically, they should have remained hidden and waited for a more opportune moment. Why did Huo Rou attack?

And so quickly, so decisively!

As soon as they reacted, they followed Huo Rou's footsteps and rushed in.

It was a bit reckless, but Huo Rou's only requirement of them from beginning to end was to keep up with her.

The tranquility on the other side of the wall was shattered. The man leading them seemed to have not expected anyone to suddenly appear here.

Before he could react, Huo Rou had already pressed a dagger to his throat.

The room was unlit and plunged into darkness. Lit only by the cold moonlight filtering through the hole in the wall, this group of people met Huo Rou's equally cold gaze.

The leader regained his senses, took a deep breath, and sneered, "A woman?"

Feeling the dagger on his neck pause, he glanced at Huo Rou's hair and smiled indifferently. "All of you, attack. I want to see if she dares to kill me."

He turned his head to speak, a faint stench wafting out. "It's not the first time I've been taken hostage by you Chinese. I'm curious, when you can't control them using me—will you kill me?"

It was clear that his subordinates were quite obedient in this critical moment. Without further questioning, they charged forward with their weapons.

The five people who had entered afterward immediately wanted to engage in a struggle, to buy Huo Rou some breathing room.

But the moment these subordinates took their first step, warm blood splattered onto their faces.

A flicker of disbelief and fear flashed in their eyes.

The scene before them was beyond their imagination.

The leader's eyes widened in terror as he slowly turned his neck, which seemed no longer his own, to look at Huo Rou.

Huo Rou covered his mouth with her other hand. With a swift movement, she brought the blade down without the slightest hesitation.

Feeling the warm gush from his neck, his life seemed to be rapidly draining away.

He opened his mouth, trying to gasp for air, but Huo Rou skillfully dislocated his jaw, rendering him speechless.

"Do you think I will?"

Huo Rou's voice seemed to come from hell, different from her usual tone, carrying a hint of devilish boldness.

"You, you… you dare to kill our boss?" Although they had surrounded Huo Rou, their words trembled as they spoke.

They rarely encountered such a ruthless person in China.

By the usual logic, there would be a lengthy negotiation, followed by a fight, and finally, when they realized holding their boss hostage was ineffective, they would release him…

Why was it that with this woman, things didn't go according to the script at all?

What should they do now? If this woman was so skilled that even their boss was caught without defense, did they still have any hope?

The subordinates looked at each other like headless flies, then at the five people surrounding them. Since this woman was so formidable, the men with her must be even more so!

Huo Rou looked meaningfully at the leader's wound in her hand, her expression cold, and gave them a choice, "Surrender, and I'll spare your lives."

"I don't have much patience. You want to kill us, and I want to kill you." Her gaze swept over each of them. Though hidden in darkness, everyone could feel the chilling sensation of being stared at by a wolf.

"Lay down your weapons. If you don't attack us, China will deal with you leniently."

After she said this, hesitation flickered in the subordinates' eyes. They were not confident they could defeat Huo Rou and her companions. If they surrendered directly, they would at least be safe in China.

Some hesitated, their grip on their weapons loosening, while others tightened their hold on their guns, aiming to shoot Huo Rou from the shadows.

Huo Rou moved abruptly. After lightly tossing the leader to the ground, she agilely appeared before one of them. The dark night seemed to pose no hindrance to her movements.

Her dagger flashed, and before the man could even pull the trigger, his gun was in Huo Rou's hand.

He, too, was swiftly choked by Huo Rou.

This position placed her directly in the moonlight. The bloodstains on her face gleamed faintly. "Who else?"

A gust of wind blew, and a silence filled the room.

If they had still held a sliver of hope moments ago, believing that their six or seven men could contend, that notion had now been half abandoned.

Just as these subordinates were stunned by her swift execution, Huo Rou moved the hand behind her back.

The two men standing behind her saw it. Almost the instant they saw the gesture, they both moved in unison.
