Chapter 57 Rare Orchids Go on Sale

Huo Rou heard the sound and walked out of the room. She saw Liu Dazhi standing at the door, holding a hoe, across the small courtyard.

"Brother Liu, they're here to collect my flowers," Huo Rou explained as she saw Liu Dazhi preparing to draw his sword.

"Sister Ah Rou, you're back!" Liu Dazhi's voice was extremely loud as he shouted across the small courtyard, "By the way, An An went to the city with his godmother. Have you contacted his mother?"

"I have," Huo Rou responded with a smile as she walked to the courtyard entrance. "Just finished work and came home? Come and have a drink of water."

As she spoke, Huo Rou took a paper cup from the machine by the door and filled it with ice water for Liu Dazhi.

"Thanks, sister!" Liu Dazhi was not polite. He took the cup and drank it all in one go. "Sister, are you moving?"

"Yes, An An is going to find his father and will be studying there."

"An An is willing to study now. That's great! I'll tell Xiao Fang too. She's been missing An An for a long time." Liu Dazhi was also very happy for An An when he learned he was going to study, and his loud voice became even louder.

"Please tell Xiao Fang properly. Next time An An has a holiday, I'll bring him back to play with them." Huo Rou knew that An An would definitely want to come back and see his little friends.

"Okay. Then, sister, you get back to your work. I'm going home to eat. If you need any help, just call me." Liu Dazhi left with a hearty laugh.

Inside, Li Yingdong finished his count and walked out with a tablet, his excitement already irrepressible.

He stood beside Huo Rou, directing the people outside to come in and move things. Then he leaned closer to Huo Rou and asked in a low voice, "Miss Huo, that... are you selling that set of equipment?"

"What do you need it for?" Huo Rou asked in confusion.

"Who doesn't need good things?" Li Yingdong smiled, looking at her for a reply.

Huo Rou chuckled and shook her head. "I've already sold it."

"So quickly! Who did you sell it to!" Li Yingdong blurted out, his usual polite demeanor almost breaking.

"Elder Jiang." Huo Rou looked at Li Yingdong's expression and couldn't help but want to stab him again. "Didn't you tell him that all my orchids were entrusted to you?"

Speaking of this, Li Yingdong felt even more frustrated.

He was just excited when he heard the news yesterday and mentioned it to Elder Jiang. Elder Jiang had always had priority in getting things from Huo Rou.

He was just showing off, yet Elder Jiang still managed to get there first.

Huo Rou saw his dejected look and chuckled softly.

"Then where did you buy this program from? I can buy the program, can't I?" Li Yingdong sought an alternative.

"That's probably not going to work either," Huo Rou shook her head. Meeting Li Yingdong's puzzled gaze, she slowly said, "I programmed it myself when I was bored."

"You can do this too!" Li Yingdong was greatly shocked. "Then sell one to me. I'll pay as much as Elder Jiang did."

"All the parameters are set by myself, so it's useless for you to have it." Huo Rou dispelled his idea.

She walked to the display screen on the wall outside the flower room, her fingers sliding as she checked the watering and fertilizing status of the plants in the yard. She casually adjusted some parameters.

Seeing that the deal couldn't be made, Li Yingdong had to supervise the moving of the flowers.

There were quite a few flowers in the flower room. Fortunately, he had brought many people. Everyone cautiously widened their eyes and watched their steps, and finally cleared out the flower room.

"Here, Miss Huo, the electronic contract has been drafted. Please take a look, and if there are no problems, sign it." Li Yingdong handed over the tablet, which was full of several pages of content.

Although Huo Rou believed that Li Yingdong wouldn't play any tricks, she still carefully reviewed the contract and proposed some modifications.

After signing the contract, Li Yingdong left Huo Rou's small courtyard with several large vehicles and a group of people.

As it was nearing afternoon, Old Zhang was still napping in the guest room. It was still a while before dinner time, so she went to the living room to start packing.

Just as she found a bag and began to pack, someone started shouting outside the door.

"An An's mother!" It was an unfamiliar voice.

Huo Rou looked up at the central control in the living room and used voice control to display the scene outside the door on the TV screen.

A middle-aged man, sallow and thin, looked to be in his forties or fifties. He was looking at the door with Li Xiaohua.

Li Xiaohua held his hand, very dependent on him. It seemed to be Li Xiaohua's father, who had been working away from home for several years and had not returned.

A flicker of confusion and annoyance flashed in Huo Rou's eyes. She didn't want to deal with him. Who knew that the man outside the door had not left and kept knocking and shouting.

Huo Rou turned on the anti-theft function of the door, intending to make him retreat. Unexpectedly, after the man was electrocuted by the door, he shouted even louder.

"Dad, what's wrong?" Li Xiaohua was very nervous.

"Quick, go back and get me those gloves from home!" Li Xiaohua's father yelled at Li Xiaohua.

Li Xiaohua obeyed and ran home with his short legs. The man was still shouting at the door.

Huo Rou, annoyed, walked out.

Seeing the door open, the man patted his pant legs and got up from the ground. When he saw Huo Rou at the door, his eyes lit up. He unscrupulously scanned her from head to toe, his gaze finally stopping at Huo Rou's exposed calves.

Huo Rou frowned and asked with a slightly cold voice, "Who are you, and why are you causing trouble at my door?"

"I'm Li Qiang, Li Xiaohua's father. You must be Huo Rou. Xiaohua said your son always bullies him, so he asked me to come and back him up."

Although Li Qiang was speaking to Huo Rou, his eyes never left her lower legs, and the smile on his face was rather suggestive.

Huo Rou took two steps back, displeased, and narrowed her eyes at him.

Li Qiang only then realized he had been staring, and quickly looked up, his gaze still unrestrainedly fixed on Huo Rou's face.

"Of course, we are neighbors. The children's little squabbles are not worth us adults getting involved. I just got back from working, and I came to meet my neighbors," Li Qiang said with a smile, his leisurely manner distinctly different from that of a rural villager.

"Beauty, I heard you're a widow? Are you bored at home alone?" Li Qiang asked slowly, his eyes holding a different meaning.

He looked around. There was no one walking outside at this time, so he took two more steps forward. "You live alone in the countryside and have such a nice house. Did your previous sugar daddy give it to you?"

As Li Qiang spoke, his eyes were full of teasing. "I've earned quite a lot of money working outside. Why don't you come with me?"

"Shut up and get lost." Huo Rou's expression was blank, giving no hint of her emotions.

However, when she spoke, her aura was so powerful that Li Qiang shivered. He felt as if he were being stared at by a fierce beast.

"Interesting, so this is your type." He didn't pay attention to this feeling, as the woman in front of him seemed so frail.

He had seen earlier that all the cars at Huo Rou's house had driven away.

At this time, there was no one at home. Li Qiang smiled lewdly.
