Ye Wan's eyes widened as she felt his familiar presence and scent. She pushed against him, trying to break free, but Gu Yunting seemed to have anticipated her move. He pinned her hands, preventing her from moving, forcing her to endure his kiss.
Time seemed to stand still, or perhaps it stretched infinitely. Ye Wan felt as though she had returned to the past, to those days when he forced himself upon her. There had never been equality between them. Was it simply because she was poor and he was rich that she had to let him do as he pleased without dignity?
She no longer wanted to live like that. She had finally moved on and had no intention of looking back. Moreover, she wanted nothing more to do with this cold-blooded and heartless man.
She bit down hard, drawing blood from his lip. But the man seemed oblivious. Suddenly, Ye Wan felt a sharp pain at the back of her neck, and then she knew nothing more.
When Ye Wan woke up, she was in an unfamiliar room. The room was pure white. She quickly looked down at her clothes, relieved to find them still on.
That damned man! He had resorted to force again. He was truly shameless!
Did he really think she was still the same pushover from years ago, someone he could manipulate at will?
Ye Wan got up and walked to the window. She grabbed a nearby chair and smashed it against the massive floor-to-ceiling window.
The chair hit the glass with a loud crash, but it was bulletproof glass and couldn't be broken. Ye Wan searched for her phone and used it to press a metallic object against the glass. With a loud bang, the entire window shattered. The sea breeze rushed in. Gu Yunting rushed in, alarmed. Ye Wan turned and gave him a cold look before leaping from the third floor down to the first. Gu Yunting, startled, also rushed over and jumped down without hesitation.
By the time he landed, Ye Wan had already run a considerable distance. Gu Yunting fell to the ground. He tried to stand up, but he seemed to be in immense pain and couldn't get up. He could only watch helplessly as Ye Wan ran away.
He immediately took out his phone and called Gu Ye, ordering him to intercept Ye Wan and stop her from leaving.
The villa was already surrounded by bodyguards. Ye Wan didn't get far before her path was blocked. Ye Wan smiled and said, "Why don't we all go down together?"
She only had her phone in her hand, but a countdown was displayed on the screen. She smiled and said, "My phone is a universal remote, and also a time bomb."
