Chapter 918 I'll Take You To My Secret Base

Yun Buji drove his car away from the snack street, heading south. He arrived at a garage and switched to a heavy motorcycle. Mianmian found the vehicle really cool. Yun Buji smiled and asked her, "Dare to ride it?"

Mianmian nodded excitedly, "What is there to be afraid of? I really want to try it."

Yun Buji brought a helmet and placed it on her head. The helmet was too heavy and almost snapped Mianmian's slender neck.

"Be gentler, why can't you be gentle?" Mianmian glared at him angrily.

"Alright, I'll be gentle. Come, brother will buckle it for you." Yun Buji bent down and thoughtfully fastened the straps under her helmet. He then reached out and patted her head, "It's indeed too big for you. I'll buy you a suitable one next time."

"Oh," Mianmian replied, feeling a little shy.

Yun Buji put on his own helmet, straddled the motorcycle, and turned to say, "Get on."

Mianmian reached out to support him, placed one foot on the pedal, and swung her other leg over to sit behind him.

"If you're scared, hold onto me," Yun Buji said.

"Mhm, let's go quickly!" Mianmian couldn't wait to urge him on.

Yun Buji smiled, unsure whether to laugh at her boldness or her carefree nature, trusting someone she had just met so easily. If he were a bad person, she'd even help him count money if he sold her.

Thinking of this, a shadow flashed in his eyes.

This girl, he would protect her.

The distinctive roar of the motorcycle engine sounded, and the vehicle sped out of the garage. However, Yun Buji's speed was incredibly slow. Mianmian felt like he was pulling a cart.

"Yun Buji, can you speed up? Aren't the people who ride motorcycles in movies all cool and fast? Why are you like a bull pulling a cart, so slow?" Mianmian poked his back.

Yun Buji replied, "I'm just worried you'd be scared."

"I'm not scared, really. Hurry up, the faster the better!" Mianmian insisted firmly.

"You said it. Don't blame me later." After saying that, Yun Buji began to accelerate.

By the end, Mianmian felt like her soul could barely keep up with the speed. She could only clutch Yun Buji's waist tightly, her head resting on his back, just praying not to be thrown off.

It was truly as if the person was flying ahead, while the soul chased from behind.

The motorcycle finally stopped. Mianmian slid forward, but Yun Buji quickly grabbed her arm and held her, catching her as she was about to fall off the bike.

"How are you?" Yun Buji asked.

Mianmian quickly took off her helmet and ran to the side to vomit...

All the food she had eaten that evening came out. Yun Buji patted her back from behind, constantly asking if she was alright.

"Do you have... water?" Mianmian felt terrible. Her stomach had been churning since earlier on the road, and she had almost thrown up then.

Fortunately, she managed to hold it in.

Yun Buji helped her sit down to the side and quickly brought over a bottle of water. He unscrewed the cap and handed it to her, then squatted in front of her.

Mianmian took a small sip of water to rinse her mouth and finally felt a bit better.

"I might have eaten too much then," Mianmian said, rubbing her stomach.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have actually ridden so fast. Are you still feeling unwell?" Yun Buji was heartbroken. He couldn't bear to see this soft, little thing suffer even a little bit.

Mianmian shook her head. "Much better. I feel more comfortable after vomiting. It was me who told you to speed up, so you don't need to apologize to me."

"Classmate Jiang Mianmian, how can you be so cute? Look up," Yun Buji said, smiling at her.
