Yun Buji turned and looked at him coldly, his gaze like that of a dead thing, making Jiang Tianci's heart tremble.
"Jiang Tianci, stay away from Jiang Mianmian. people like you with ulterior motives are an insult standing in front of her! You may have been taught manners, but it seems to have been taught very poorly! Your eyes and heart are full of scheming!" Yun Buji spoke sarcastically.
Jiang Tianci was startled. He hadn't expected Yun Buji to see through his schemes. This person was indeed a bit terrifying.
"What I do with Mianmian is none of your business. As for you, coming here to covet Mianmian, if her father finds out, you're dead." Jiang Tianci knew what kind of person Mianmian's father was, and even more so, he knew how much that man doted on his daughter.
"Do you think her father is an idiot? Do you think your little schemes can escape his eyes? Utterly foolish! I'll be watching you! If you dare to have ill intentions towards Jiang Mianmian, I'll kill you! This worthless life of mine fears nothing!" After Yun Buji warned him, his phone rang. It was a message from Jiang Mianmian, telling him she had arrived home.
The originally cold and fearsome young man instantly softened considerably. He smiled and left.
Jiang Tianci looked up at the window of Jiang Mianmian's house, his heart in turmoil. He could sense that the relationship between Jiang Mianmian and this delinquent was not simple. Why was he here so late? Did Jiang Mianmian know?
He felt that Jiang Mianmian knew.
Was there really something between the two of them?
Jiang Tianci's eyes turned cold, and he called the security office of the residential complex, reporting that an outsider and a hooligan was loitering in the area, and he suspected the person was there to steal!
When the security guards came to check on Yun Buji, he knew it was Jiang Tianci causing trouble. He ran off directly, climbed over the wall and out of the complex, and sped away on his motorcycle defiantly.
...
The next day, when the driver came to take Mianmian to school, Jiang Tianci passed by again. Mianmian only said, "If you're rushing for the bus next time, you should leave earlier. I'm leaving now."
She got into the car and told the driver to drive, leaving Jiang Tianci standing there, with no intention of offering him a ride.
Mianmian had her own thoughts. She felt that it was fine to give him a ride the first day she met him. However, she had already reminded him, and he still came out so late. She wouldn't let him hitch a ride anymore. If he was late, it had nothing to do with her. If she still let him ride with her, she was afraid he would start freeloading rides every day from then on.
She had also thought it through yesterday. Since she couldn't avoid gossip as she grew up, she should try to avoid close contact with boys as much as possible. Maintaining a normal social distance was better.
Things like her and Jiang Tianci sharing a car ride to school could indeed lead to misunderstandings, so it was better to avoid them in the future.

Jiang Jingxiu's body was not yet well enough to be discharged from the hospital, but he didn't want to wait any longer. He just wanted to see Jiang Mi quickly. Jiang Mi was also planning to come tonight to reunite with her daughter.
When she received Jiang Jingxiu's call, she felt an unbearable headache. She no longer knew how to face him. She knew he was speaking the truth, and that he hadn't done what happened back then. But even so, all the events had become faits accomplis and could not be changed.
Just as Jiang Mi was preparing to leave to pick up her daughter, she received a call from Ling Bo, saying he was at the airport and asking for her location. He was coming to find her.
Jiang Mi could hardly believe it. "You're in Jing City?" Wasn't it supposed to take longer?
