"Alright," Yun Buqi didn't object. His injury really needed medical attention at a hospital. He had endured it to watch her competition, but now that it was over and she wanted to accompany him, there was no reason for him to refuse.
Besides, if he didn't go, she would surely worry. He didn't want her to be anxious on his behalf.
Qian Xiaoguo was stunned. She quickly crouched down to pick up the snacks she had bought, which were her money and couldn't be wasted. Clutching the snacks, she sulkily followed them, unable to help but grumble inwardly, what was all this about?
Qian Xiaoguo, worried about Mian Mian, insisted on accompanying them to the hospital. At the emergency room, the doctor urgently treated Yun Buqi's wounds. After the external injuries were dealt with, Mian Mian, still uneasy, insisted he get a full check-up.
When Mian Mian was stubborn, no one could sway her. In the end, Yun Buqi couldn't refuse and obediently underwent the full examination. The results showed that two of his ribs had sustained minor fractures. Although not serious, he still needed ample rest and certainly couldn't do any heavy lifting.
Upon hearing this, Mian Mian felt both angry and pained. Even though the doctor said it wasn't serious, she still considered it a significant injury.
Finally, Yun Buqi was settled in the infusion room for an IV drip.
Qian Xiaoguo had come along and run around helping, feeling somewhat disillusioned. What was she even here for?
Upon returning, she saw her beautiful classmate, the campus belle, feeding the school bully who had been injured in a fight.
Qian Xiaoguo quickly walked over, sat down in front of them, and threw the card to Mian Mian, saying, "All paid! I'm hungry too, I want to eat."
She snatched a bun from Mian Mian's lap and began to eat it heartily.
"Eat slowly, no one's snatching it from you," Mian Mian said, blinking her eyes.
"I want to eat fast, I want to choke... *burp*..." Oops, she actually choked.
Mian Mian quickly poured her some water.
Qian Xiaoguo nearly choked to death.
Yun Buqi looked at his foolish classmate, Jiang Mian Mian, with disdain, truly believing the girl was incorrigibly stupid.
Later, Jiang Mian Mian even escorted Yun Buqi home. When Qian Xiaoguo entered Yun Buqi's house, she was speechless with shock as she watched Mian Mian familiarized herself with going into the kitchen to boil water.
She pulled her classmate aside and asked, "This isn't your first time here, is it?"
"I've been here three times," Mian Mian replied with a smile before going to check on Yun Buqi.
Qian Xiaoguo was utterly dumbfounded.
After taking care of the patient, Mian Mian left with Qian Xiaoguo. As they were leaving, Yun Buqi whispered a few words to her, unheard by Qian Xiaoguo.
On the way back to school, Qian Xiaoguo angrily questioned, "Jiang Mian Mian, don't you realize you act like you're dating Yun Buqi right now! You look like his girlfriend, do you know that?"
Mian Mian shook her head, "You're overthinking it. We're just friends. Dating? How is that possible?"
"How is it not possible? I'm serious, your current dynamic really looks like a couple of young lovers! Don't you notice it yourself?" Qian Xiaoguo was practically exasperated.
"No, really. He's a good person, but I'm still young. It's not possible. Don't overthink it, we're just friends," Mian Mian said to her very seriously.
Qian Xiaoguo...
"Mian Mian, I still think it would be better for you to keep some distance from him," Qian Xiaoguo, at her wit's end, could only tactfully remind her.
